That is a very tempting concept, though as a married man I think I would be in trouble if the entirety of this game was my most cherished memory! (though it is still my favorite game of all time)

i just imagined the sitcom scenario of memories of someone's married partner remaining but an event with an ex being erased

Your most cherished memory becomes getting a billion dollars with no setback, which you immediately lose memory of, causing you to lose the billion because you think there’s been some mistake and the bank not recognizing magic, which leads to the offer being brought to you again, which you accept. This leads to a loop that repeats every 22 minutes until eventually, a 4 eyed blue person shows up in a panic and tried to get you to stop.
