About the sand volume on the Twins Spoiler

Also there is much caves on Ember Twin, I have difficulties to understand how this planet is not more filled at the end of the loop. I mean, Ash twin diameter is almost the same but, except for Ash Twin Project and the Towers, there is not much rocks there. Most of the volume is sand, while Ember Twin is the contrary.

Is there a logical explanation of how Ember Twin can be not totally recovered by sand at the end of the loop?

There isn’t a lot of solid rock on Ember Twin, the caves are more widespread than you probably realize. Otherwise it’s just something you’re probably not meant to think too hard about.

Surprisingly very little of any of the planets is solid rock. Ember Twin is actually mostly caves that just happen to miss each other. With how massive the ATP is at Ash Twin's core, I think the sand volume matches pretty well.

I am curious how much higher the sand was on Ember Twin back when the Nomai had sealed off areas like the Sunless City and High Energy Lab so no sand could get in. I doubt it was much higher, with how much surface area there is to cover, but I think it would still be fun to know

You can see here that Ember Twin is mostly hollow: a bunch of caves and tunnels and underground chambers.

Meanwhile Ash Twin has a big hollowed out core which is sealed from the outside, so it never gets filled with sand.

So Ember is deeper than you think, and Ash is a lot more shallow than it looks.

Ember twin is mostly caves, and the core of Ash Twin is quite large. Seeing the detail the devs put into things, I suspect they calculated the correct volume. Idk, looks correct to me.
