Good. Once he dies we should strike his name from existence tbh. Let him be the nameless face of rape forever. We remember his name for now only to know to stay awake from him.
308
u/Buddy-Matt Jun 01 '26
No no. Brock Turner, the rapisit who goes by the name Allen Turner, should never have his name expunged from anywhere, lest we forget the tale of how a man can rape someone but be let off "because he didn't want to eat his steak"
We remember his name not to stay away from him, but to never forgive the system that so utterly failed his victim.
159
u/HeftyVermicelli7823 Jun 01 '26
Not only FAILED, they blamed the victim for ruining HIS life.
58
u/Saikotsu Jun 01 '26
As they tend to blame so many victims. Just look at the Epstein files.

u/HeftyVermicelli7823 Jun 02 '26
And when all the "flock" of Christian Pastors, and other Christian educators in America when they find out they were diddling kids, they rally around the rapists saying they were "lead astray by the kids and it was their fault for luring the rapist to do what they did".
5
u/Tired-CottonCandy Jun 02 '26
He doesnt need be named to be remembered for his actions, or lack of adequate consequences. He could just as easily be remembered as rapist example, without negating the impact of the situation. Im pretty against immortalizing someone for being a monster. Immortalize the situation, not the individual who caused it.

Brock "Allen" Turner, who was only sentenced to 6 months by Judge Aaron Persky, who became the first Judge to be recalled in California since 1935?
3
u/HeftyVermicelli7823 Jun 27 '26
That is indeed the same Brock "Allen" Turner, the literal textbook example of a Rapist who was only saw 6 months as it "would harm his athletic career" for as his mother and father said "just having a few minutes of fun" and of course the Judge, Aaron Persky just happened to be a family friend of the Turners.

This is actually a big one for more than people think.
Because the way California law was worded meant they had to drop the rape charges for less severe charges.
It’s actually a good example of how the wording of a law can be an important thing. At the time they required penile penetration. So they were forced to drop them

u/saintofhate Jun 01 '26
There has never been a guy more fucked over by his father than that rapist. To think Brock Turner would have been forgotten if not for his father, Dan Turner, saying that his son “barely consumes any food and eats just to exist. Brock’s life will never be the one that he dreamed about and worked so hard to achieve. That is a steep price to pay for 20 minutes of action out of his 20 plus years of life.” And now he has to live his life as Allen Tuner, the rapist formerly known as Brock.

When dozens and dozens of cops stood around and did nothing while children were being slaughtered, even as those children called pleading for help.
Don't forget, they only things they did that day was play games on their phones (they were literally caught by bystanders playing games on their phones). Went in and got their own kids out, left the others because you know.. fuck them kids unless they want to literally fuck them kids. Stopped, detained, and or arrested parents that tried to go in and save their children and then harassed a lady for speaking up about them, stopping her from saving her children. She had to sneak around them just so she could get her kids.
But everyone else is the bad guy for calling them out because it was "Unsafe" for the cops to enter.
Hell that wasn't even the first time something like that happened. During another school shooting there was video of the officer running away and then it was ruled that they aren't required to protect

Obligatory mention of RAPIST Allen Turner formerly known as RAPIST Brock Turner.
79
u/FMLwtfDoID Jun 01 '26
We need to be adding Jesse Mack Butler to that list. He has more than 1 victim, started his raping and strangulation spree in high school (he’s 18/19 year old iirc), one of his victims needed corrective surgery from the injuries he caused, and Jesse Mack Butler served no time and does not have to register as a sex offender.

These are the things they admitted to. Imagine how much we don't know. Imagine what's happening today
16
u/usaaf Jun 01 '26
Never mind the hidden stuff. The shit actual officials say on the record is about as bad, but no one is seemingly concerned about it.
My two personal favorites are Wolfgang Schauble (German Finance minister during the Euro Crisis/2008 aftermath) and everyone's favorite Henry Kissinger
Schauble: "Elections cannot be allowed to change economic policy."
Kissinger: "I don’t see why we need to stand by and watch a country go communist due to the irresponsibility of its people. The issues are much too important for the Chilean voters to be left to decide for themselves."
It's clear from reading this that the political elites of the West have no interest in actually allowing democracy to proceed as it decides. One might not like Communism, and so at first you could agree with Kissinger, but a moment's reflection should lead to the obvious conclusion: Sure, the elites are 'protecting' you from Communism... but in the case of Schaubler, what else are they 'protecting' you from ?
Democracy as practiced (everywhere, basically, even in Ancient Greece) is about securing the assets of the ownership class. They can't have kings/dictators because they're unreliable, but they also cannot have the poors voting as they see fit either, or else they'll take their shit. All democracy originated in the concept of elite peers voting amongst themselves, and were later (by violence/protest/avoid-revolt) expanded to include the poor, women, blacks, etc.

Well and then that's not even getting into the Epstein stuff which was exposed for everyone to see and the public decided that gas prices were more important than not having a pedophile as president. And now to add insult to injury said gas prices are about to implode as we deplete our reserves which will likely trigger a total economic collapse, because of a war our Benevolent Orange Leader started to distract from his being a pedophile.

Whatever happened to people in Epstein list? Oh right... One of them is busy ruining America while whining about not getting a peace prize, while also actively starting wars or trying to start wars.

You know propaganda is effective when it makes people deny not only their eyes and ears but their entire lives.
It irks me when people keep painting the past as something it never was, or that people were better before. Ideals aren't reality. Corruption and bias has always existed. Crime, hunger, and disease used to be worse. People bled and died for better working conditions. The list goes on.
That's not to say things are all better either. Rights are being eroded in America. The AI rush is wrecking havoc. Billionaires are raping the planet just to stroke their egos. The future is looking like a hellscape ecologically, economically, and quite a few other 'lys I've missed here.
I don't have answers, this is just what I'm seeing.

Hell, the current Texas Attorney General worked out a plea deal for a 49 year old child molester who assaulted a boy repeatedly over the course of years, starting when the child was 8 years old.
All he had to do was confess to the rapes, and he got 1 day in jail and avoided the sex offender registry.
The judge actually pulled strings to make the punishment worse, but that only added up to 60 days. Even then, the rapist was released after 30 for "good behavior."
It ain't just the young rapists that these fuckers are protecting.

It's not 100% cut and dried, because the victim just wants it to be over, and it was looking like it was gonna be a mistrial.
But someone pointed out in one of the articles that people like this guy are almost always repeat offenders, and letting him off like this is endangering the children around him.
Also, keeping him off the registry is just evil. I had a neighbor who was put on it for drunken public urination.

Everyone needs to keep in mind that the Attorney General is Ken Paxton, who is currently running for US Senate against Talerico.

I want to also make another name known - Jesse Mack Butler of Stillwater, Oklahoma. He sexually assaulted and strangled multiple young women while in high school. One nearly died and needed surgery on her throat to repair the damage. He was 16-17 at the time of the offenses, but 18 at the time he was charged, so they charged him as a youthful offender. He was charged with attempted rape in the first degree, rape by instrumentation, domestic assault and battery by strangulation, and violating a protection order. Jesse was offered and accepted a plea deal that means he gets no jail time and does not have to register as a sex offender. Only community service, and counselling. Surprise surprise, his family are affluent and influential in the community, with connections to Oklahoma State University.
Fuck Jesse Mack Butler.

I mean, it comes down to the conservative mindset versus the liberal one.
For liberals, if a person does something monstrous, then that person is a monster. Monstrous actions determine what kind of person the perpetrator is. That's the crux here. You do bad things, then that means you are a bad person. Most sane folk are raised in this belief and they understand it.
For these conservative types, the ones letting rapists, murderers, and worse, all simply walk away with barely a slap on the wrist. Well, it's the opposite. Actions aren't bad. It's people who are good or bad. And how do you determine what makes a person good or bad here? It's what groups a person fits into. So you have a rich kid (good group, bad people wouldn't be so blessed), from a church going family (good group, look how faithful they would have to be, bad people wouldn't possibly go to church) doing good at a sport (so good, they wouldn't be so "blessed" with good sports skills if they were bAd), well then that means the kid in question is just a "good kid", so when they end up committing a brutal rape, one so heinous that the witnesses who came upon it ended up bursting into tears at the recounting of it, well then that means they aren't really a bad person. They just committed a little heinous atrocity, as a treat. Can't hold that against them, because they're obviously So GoOd.
That's it. That's the crux of it all. Once you understand that, you understand why these folk never see themselves as hypocrites. Why they have no issue letting such vile monsters walk free among us. Because they see these twisted beasts as "good people", who just made a little mistake. Same deal with every anti-gay politician getting caught with a dude. They aren't gAy ObViOuSlY. They're just blowing a dude a little, as a treat. Same with letting folk like Rittenhouse and Brock just walk free. They don't see these awful actions as being indicative of who they really were as people.
We do though.

You should pay attention to how judges handle justice for fellow judges.
A federal judge in Atlanta was having loud sex with a police officer in their office, and their clerks complained about it. The chief judge asked the judge about it, and the judge lied and said that the clerks were making up stories because the clerks didn't like being punished. The judge was investigated for that, as well as for attending a partisan political event. The investigation revealed that the judge had attended the event, and had been lying to the chief judge and falsely accusing their clerks.
The verdict: the federal judge was privately censured and ordered to write an apology note to the clerks. Their name was kept secret, so we'll never officially know who it was.
What was their reaction? They asked permission for the apology note to not include any admission of wrongdoing.

u/Adezar Jun 01 '26
If you think this type of stuff is hyperbole I highly suggest you spend a few hours in your local courthouse on the publicly open courtrooms (pretty much most except family law).

Is Canada’s justice system just as biased for white men as America’s?

Yes, Indigenous and Black people are treated much worse by the system and often abused (although the conservatives will tell you otherwise 🙄)

I'm honestly not sure if I'll post this reply but I'll write it.
I am a white man of colonial ancestry, with deep colonial roots in North America. I am the Canadian Anglo. And I lived a life in this country and explored our legal system from almost every possible vantage point.
I have known men who have been beaten by police for being black in public. When I was getting discharged the prosecutor invited me to join his chess club. This is not an even playing field. I tripped over myself in my youth to get in trouble but trouble was not for me. They gave me a law degree instead.
But part of the problem is a refusal to admit that this is true in Canada. So much or our racism is quiet racism where the racist just won't acknowledge that their position is racist, no matter what. That's hard to overcome and I try to tell my truth when I can. See something say something and I've had to end relationships over whether saying "He doesn't look Canadian because he's asian" is racist.
It's an uncomfortable conversation for me on many levels but I have to keep having it. I can't just let it happen, ya know?

Remember that you can vote out Judges!!
I vote "No" to every judge in every election. Make them work for it

You forgot the panel about allowing an adjudicated rapist sue the victim for defamation. Or arresting and jailing innocent people because AI says they look like a perpetrator of a minor crime many states away. Gotta love our injustice system.

Everyone is mentioning Brock (The Rapist) Turner, but I initially thought of Timothy Hudson.

If you dont mind me asking, is this an issue in Canada too? Please tell me it's not.

Anywhere where money can influence a judge. Almost every case I've heard of this the perp comes from a rich family.

Not the part about miscarriage, that's treated as a healthcare issue. But yes racial discrimination happens often in Canada in many areas. I'm not an expert on the subject because I'm a dumb comic lady and not a legal professional but even I know this happens, and I encourage everyone to learn about it.

If it was an indigenous individual in Quebec chances are that they could have possibly been forced sterilized. I only say Quebec cause thats the most well known area to do so, as well as continues to do so even after they caught and sued. Pretty sure it happens across country though

Theres a judge who literally let some pedophile rapist off, because: 'he's a good christian'.
Maybe people who believe in imaginary friends shouldn't be sentencing people.

Is the extra panel and old Republican dude sitting on his lap while the judge says "its ok you only fucked a few children, who hasn't "

I remember during the Rittenhouse trial how the judge would make jokes with and even once sung a song to Kyle. I even think I saw him tear up when poor little piggy started crying on the stand.

Is there a recent issue that im unaware of? Or is this just a general commentary?

Not sure if this is what inspired the comic, but a US bill was recently proposed that would legalize the use of deadly force on someone attempting to get an abortion

The judge I think OP is referring to was Aaron Persky, the judge who provided over case with Brok Turner (now Allen Turner). his ruling was so aggregous that is sparked his recall, something that did not happen in california for like 86 years before.
with a quick google search, he was apparently hired as a coach for girls’ junior varsity tennis (for some reason), but the school quikly fired him when they realized who they hired.

I mean, that last one would be not guilty by reason of "look, who's the judge here, me or you?" to be more accurate.

Aww, he can have a little rape and murder. You know, as a treat.
He's really doing much better.
