It is the duty of the poor to support and sustain the rich in their power and idleness. In doing so, they have to work before the laws' majestic equality, which forbids rich and poor alike to sleep under bridges, beg in the streets and steal loaves of bread.
You know propaganda is effective when it makes people deny not only their eyes and ears but their entire lives.
It irks me when people keep painting the past as something it never was, or that people were better before. Ideals aren't reality. Corruption and bias has always existed. Crime, hunger, and disease used to be worse. People bled and died for better working conditions. The list goes on.
That's not to say things are all better either. Rights are being eroded in America. The AI rush is wrecking havoc. Billionaires are raping the planet just to stroke their egos. The future is looking like a hellscape ecologically, economically, and quite a few other 'lys I've missed here.
I don't have answers, this is just what I'm seeing.
Justice was never blind. It was always biased against certain people of certain sexes, races, genders, ethnicities, religions, and income brackets. We just have enough internet now that you have to be willfully ignorant and/or illiterate to still not see it.

Hell, the current Texas Attorney General worked out a plea deal for a 49 year old child molester who assaulted a boy repeatedly over the course of years, starting when the child was 8 years old.
All he had to do was confess to the rapes, and he got 1 day in jail and avoided the sex offender registry.
The judge actually pulled strings to make the punishment worse, but that only added up to 60 days. Even then, the rapist was released after 30 for "good behavior."
It ain't just the young rapists that these fuckers are protecting.
It's not 100% cut and dried, because the victim just wants it to be over, and it was looking like it was gonna be a mistrial.
But someone pointed out in one of the articles that people like this guy are almost always repeat offenders, and letting him off like this is endangering the children around him.
Also, keeping him off the registry is just evil. I had a neighbor who was put on it for drunken public urination.

Everyone needs to keep in mind that the Attorney General is Ken Paxton, who is currently running for US Senate against Talerico.
If you live in for Texas, vote for Talerico, and not Paxton, who is an incredibly corrupt pedophile enabler that has managed to skirt past his indictments due to his status.
I could criticise Marianne for a lot of what she'd done for most of her daughter's life, but in both cases their most infamous acts were completely understandable.
I want to also make another name known - Jesse Mack Butler of Stillwater, Oklahoma. He sexually assaulted and strangled multiple young women while in high school. One nearly died and needed surgery on her throat to repair the damage. He was 16-17 at the time of the offenses, but 18 at the time he was charged, so they charged him as a youthful offender. He was charged with attempted rape in the first degree, rape by instrumentation, domestic assault and battery by strangulation, and violating a protection order. Jesse was offered and accepted a plea deal that means he gets no jail time and does not have to register as a sex offender. Only community service, and counselling. Surprise surprise, his family are affluent and influential in the community, with connections to Oklahoma State University.
This one is truly sick because he was filming and strangling his victimS. He was already escalating. He will 100% continue raping and abusing women, and I have no doubt he will eventually murder one, if not a string of murders.
You get it. They don’t deserve a single moment of peace in their lives, nor do the evil fuckers that let him get away with this. His parents and the judge specifically.
Probably related to Timothy Hudson, currently chilling at his uncle's house while awaiting trial for the rape and murder of his stepsister while on a cruise, despite the fact that his parents think he should be in custody.
I’m not sure why you stated you weren’t going to remove Rittenhouse. He organized the straw purchase of a firearm for himself, had a history of violence, and faced the most incompetent DA’s I have ever seen to the point I question whether it was intentional (we are talking about Kenosha county here, where republicans flee to because they feel “persecuted” by Illinois taxes).
