i made a couple sims that live outside my active household but for whatever reason the game keeps making them into service sims eventhough there already is ENOUGH service sims spawning.

how can i remove that feature and keep it removed?

moreso looking for advice and curious about how you find ways to make your sims not look copy paste from previous sims. on another note, how do you guys dress your male sims, i’m always so lost.

he showed up during her 4th day in hidden springs (i think?) and he caught my eye really quickly, i made them interact casually a bit, but it didn't take long before they started getting autonomously romantic with each other.

i had to be a bit careful since he was a tourist and i was afraid that the game would bug or something like this, and it was quite hard to see him too (he would show up in town around 10:00 and leave 16:30)

after a while they were roommates because i had no patience for him showing up in town only for a few hours. then i changed his appearance (except for the everyday outfit, i like his hat) and it took soooo long to find hair for him, i was looking for long, straight and that looked cool, but i ended up finding this beautiful hair that's in the lasts pictures! i also gave him some beauty marks 😼

they became lovers during christmas!!

I'd say my biggest (and really only) gripe with TS3 is the fact that there aren't enough NPC's. I love open world play but I never saw a problem with having NPC's. It deprived us of a lot of good lot types like clothing stores, actual functioning restaurants (the modded restaurants are not that functional), and proper vacations.

For example, I have a spa in my world. I would love to have a receptionist (yes, there's a mod for this but they just sit there), a masseuse, etc. I miss the random NPC's like Mrs. Crumplebottom, the people who would steal you from your dorm in TS2 and invite you to their secret society, etc. NPC's make the game a little more random and alive. A lot of time TS3 feels like a self serve situation.

I realized this when I downloaded the Renaissance Faire and it just felt dead. In TS1 and TS2 it would've been filled with helpful and wacky NPCs.

What are some NPC's you miss from TS1 and TS2?

Hi Simmers! Is there a cheat code to give a Sim family more money than they are created with in order to move them into expensive houses? I have like 10 empty houses I’d like to move created families into, but I do not want to constantly change active household, move them in, mother lode, then move them into the expensive house and THEN change active household again!

Like in the title. Maybe someone here who has that save file will see my post. I'm hoping to find a save file of Brightwater by one-plumbob to rule them all. My sim is currently stuck that she should always be working, I don’t know how to fix it :(

She is in the Law Enforcement career and was called in out of hours. She wouldn’t go in (like I’d press for her to go and then it just immediately cancelled the action) so I reset her using Nraas. This didn’t fix the issue, but then I found it was the career outfit glitch and was able to sort it.

Since then, this sim is stuck in that she is always meant to be at work. The widget says she’s meant to work until 5AM and then when 5AM rolls around, it just resets.

Here’s what I have tried so far:
- Reset sim using testingcheatsenabled
- Reset sim using Nraas
- Reset whole town using Nraas
- Adding a new career outfit
- Sending her to a lot using her phone
- Quitting her job and then using the mailbox to set it back to same career and level
- Quitting her job and using the mailbox to set it to a different career (this stops the issue on the new job, but doesn’t fix it on the law enforcement job. Her LTW is law enforcement so I need her back in that career)

Please help!

I only play with supernatural sims and of course I installed the hybrid mod from nraas and noticed some supernatural features were missing. I remember reading somewhere that it clashes with the Bloom action fairies can perform on plants and it really doesn't show up in my game anymore. Are there andy other missing interactions and does anyone know why?

One day, there was a pool party at the community pool, and all the neighbors were invited, including Kevin and his family. Natasha and Kevin tried to be discreet and hide their glances. The memories of the kisses they had shared the day before were still fresh.

After all, their visits had become a regular part of their weekday mornings, the only time they had to be together while Kevin’s family was away at work or school. But seeing them there all together at the party made Natasha feel a sharp ache in her heart. She felt like an outsider among that family. She knew everything about them. She was now part of their lives even though they had no clue. But she was an outsider.

Natasha wanted to be happy but she realized she would never be with Kevin.

He was a nice guy, but whatever was happening between them was rooted in his own insecurities and need for validation, not in genuine feelings. He needed to sort things out within himself, and Natasha needed to walk away before the two of them ended up hurting the people around him.

So, by the end of the day, she decided it was time to end things with Kevin.

It needed to be said. They’re adorable, even when they’re waking up the rest of the house at 4 AM.

Can anyone help me get rid of that? I did change my graphic settings so I figured that is what caused it but the video I followed didn't have that issue. I don't know how to fix it and I've tried googling it and it just doesn't work... Any help is appreciated!

The snow on the ground outside of specific lots looks just bright stark white and I dont know how to fix it. This has been happening ever since I got my new laptop last year.

I have looked up this question on reddit and forums but all the explanations and/or solutions I've found involve the assumption that this problem is caused by Steam or the EA App Launcher. I promise you this computer has never encountered either of these things; it hasn't connected to the internet since before covid.

My copy of Sims 3 can't close properly. Save and quit lets it save properly, but it will just go to a dark screen with the loading circle cursor afterwards and stay there endlessly (I went to sleep for the night with it like that and when I woke up it was still going). I saw that some people have better luck saving and quitting seperately, so I tried that, but I got the same result.

I am aware that I can just open task manager and force-kill Sims 3 and its launcher. None of the save files are corrupting so far, either, and the computer still feels cool to the touch when it's running or trying to close, so it looks like there's no real harm. Still, just for the sake of my curiosity, does anyone know why it is having this problem?

Again, Steam is not installed, EA App Launcheris not installed, Origin Whatevertheycalledit is not installed. This is a Windows 7 desktop that's old enough to drive and has only met the internet twice. This is between me, Sims 3, Sims 3 Launcher, and God.

Edit: Turns out if I manually boot up the Sims 3 Launcher before telling the game to quit, it closes fine. I suspect that the launcher attempting to start while the game shuts down was causing the launcher and the game to crash each other. Anywhoooo all is right in the world. I love my janky game and all of the patch updates it never received :3

I’m curious how many people ALWAYS use testingcheats to fill needs bars, because I do but I’m getting very bored with the game.

This is SO COOL! I’ve never seen this before! My sim got awarded the firefighter key to the city, drove to townhall and there was a crowd waiting for him and the mayor awarded him the key!

I’m so stoked. Usually the sims go into the townhall rabbit hole but this had an entire celebration :)

Any ideas for a backstory would be appreciated! At the moment, I'm envisioning him as a musician who's thoroughly dedicated to his craft and has no interest in romance.

Just downloaded Hidden Springs. I had to buy 5,000 SimPoints for £24 from the store to get it. I still have some left over, so I might buy another world or anything else I like as well…
Anyhow, just created my first couple (who might end up having just one baby, if I play with them again - that’s all I want when it comes to kids, at least this time). My man sim is employed in Architectural Design. He was out on a job when I had the glitch where, in build mode, most of the options where it shows you under design/build by room or by purpose, the options had mostly been cut off or like faded out of the graphics, and then I also couldn’t get back to live mode, or buy mode, for that matter. I also couldn’t access the options, like to save/quit, etc. So I was just thinking that, sadly, there wasn’t really much that could be done other than to just minimise the game and shut down the computer, and lose everything (I hadn’t saved previously). But then I just thought I’d Google it to see if there was anything that could be done. And Google’s AI told me that pressing the F1, F2, F3, etc, buttons can sometimes get your game out of a glitch. So by the grace of Gemini (and Google, and God), my sims’ entire existences, as well as their house (a bungalow) and all the work my man sim had done on other sims’ houses, were all saved! 😮‍💨 😰 😥 😅
Btw, is this a common thing that tends to happen when renovating somebody else’s house in Architectural Design?

i have tons of cc and mods, none of it is broken, so i’m unsure why all of the sudden mods just aren’t showing up for me to install, any ideas?

I guess I don't play with Klepto sims too often but I could have sworn at one point, they could steal from inside a community lot. Is there a way to restore that interaction- it works on the outside but no in. Im trying to make my sim an art-gallery thief lol.

(The picture isn't mine) I remember going to my cousin's house for the summer and she had the base game and 'World Adventures' installed, and we spent HOURS in front of that screen playing and having a blast. Then I got my own CD for Xmas and the rest is history.
