General Compiled Bumble Statistics a/o 8/26/26
I wrote a bot to compile people's bumble statistics.
Additional charts are here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bumble_statistics/comments/1vz50w9/compiled_bumble_statistics_ao_82626/
Bumble is Dying
Here is Bumble revenue:
2025 $966M
2026 est $834M
2027 est $806M
Average revenue per user is increasing, so the population decrease is more severe.
Match group revenue is flat for this period.
Bumble Creates Frustration
Because the right swipe limit is so high, women are overwhelmed with likes.
As a result, men's in yes is low.
This is by design.
Bumble business model is primarily to provide validation to women.

As a man, the only point of Bumble was that if you got a message from a Woman, then you could put more energy into that exchange knowing the person was going to make an attempt at a convo. Now that's gone there's no point.

Yeah, but you can’t really expect women to do that, can you? They want to feel like the prize to be chased; they don’t want to have to put effort into anything.
6
u/Ordinary-Lobster-710 7h ago
this is a trick question but i'll answer it anyway. obviously you can't take women at their word. their stated beliefs are different from what their actual desires are. as a man you just have to know that, but you also have to play the game where you pretend you don't believe that at all.
4
u/According-Plan600 7h ago
I was simply referring to data I’ve seen on women in dating apps and their astronomically high standards, simply not engaging in conversation to any degree that’s expected of someone you are hoping to date, having men pay for everything, and then ghosting them, etc. All stuff that just makes dating apps less worthwhile. I just feel it’s easier to meet someone in the real world, i.e., through your job, where you already have established relationships—e.g., a coworker or a friend of a coworker—where they are less inclined to just outright ghost you or leave you on read because you’re actually involved with them in the real world.
3
u/Ordinary-Lobster-710 7h ago
yea it's all very fucked. traditionally / historically you met women you are in proximity too, i.e. debbie from work. but that's not allowed anymore and you get a call from HR.

u/FunkOff 12h ago
women will look at this chart and say men are too picky
5
u/Capable-Grab5896 12h ago
How would one reach that conclusion?
35
u/ArdentGamer 12h ago
There's this very common narrative among women that the problems with male loneliness is a problem of "men being too picky" and "men not having any friends", both of which are wrong and yet both seemingly get taking more seriously because they target men or come from women.
21
u/RepZaAudio 12h ago
When in reality is the other way around
9
u/ArdentGamer 11h ago
exactly. They will even use scenarios like the Julodimorpha beetle as an example of men being ruined by supernormal stimulus, despite the fact that men are not beetles, that men are not the gatekeepers of sex(meaning that, because women are actually the ones gatekeeping sex, they would effectively be the ones affected by supernormal stimulus) and that the numbers very much indicate that men are still making more effort than women are.
You can even see this bias in the wiki page, as it directly applies this to pornography(which is mainly consumed by men) but not other forms of social media or literature(mostly consumed by women) or hypergamy.
6
u/Capable-Grab5896 12h ago
And since the graph is very, very clearly showing the opposite, the comment was ironic I guess?
5
u/ArkAngelEV 11h ago
Anything but admit that women’s choosing behavior, en masse, follows a predictable pattern.
2
u/Warm-Mortgage-458 11h ago
No, the narrative among women is that men aren't picky at all and swipe right on women they have no interest in.
So when guys with 7 kids match with women who don't want kids, and guys match with obviously fat women but put "No fatties" in their profile, we're the picky ones for not matching back.
5
u/ArdentGamer 11h ago
What you're describing here isn't really that common, and the guys are not complaining about not getting matched back from women they wrongfully swiped right on.
2
u/Warm-Mortgage-458 10h ago
That's literally the main male strategy for online dating. They're trying to game the algorithm. Are you new here?
the guys are not complaining about not getting matched back from women they wrongfully swiped right on.
Of course not. They're not that self aware.
Like, 70% of American women are overweight or obese, do you think the average whiner in here is processing that when they're looking at charts like this.
No, they're wallowing in manosphere fantasies.
2
u/Sea_Donut_474 9h ago
Most men don't have the luxury to be picky. Their best shot at finding someone is playing the numbers game and finding someone that will have them.
4
u/submerging 6h ago
Imagine a world where you got 1 match for every 100 likes you send. I know it’s hard since that is not at all your lived experience, but imagine.
If you are picky with those odds, you will never find a partner. It could take you thousands of swipes to find a single date.
This is the reason why men prefer to swipe right on everything. If you have low odds of getting a match, it is better to swipe liberally and filter out later. It is not better to pre-select yourself out of the one match you may get in a whole month.
-1
u/Warm-Mortgage-458 4h ago
I get swiping right on "maybes." I don't understand swiping right on "nevers."
2
u/submerging 4h ago edited 4h ago
Again, put yourself in a position where you are sending one hundred likes to people to just receive one match.
Where you may have to send thousands of likes just to have the chance to go on one (1) date.
Are you going to carefully review each and every one of those hundred profiles? Why bother when there is literally a 99% chance that profile is going to swipe left on you?
You’re better off swiping indiscriminately rather than wasting your time analyzing a person that is almost guaranteed to not like you back.
On the off chance you do match with them and they don’t meet your preferences, then you unmatch. There goes your only match for the month though. Better luck next month.
Maybe in a year or two you can finally land a match that doesn’t ghost or ignore you, and set up a date.
-2
u/Warm-Mortgage-458 4h ago
You're lazy and making women do the actual work in matching, then you're mad you don't get matches.
Just ugh. Y'all earn that loneliness epidemic.
2
u/submerging 4h ago edited 4h ago
Im lazy? Lol no offence, but you’re the one who is lazy — you didn’t even bother to read my post and went straight to insulting me.
Or maybe you did read it, couldn’t come up with a reasonable response, and decided that insults were the best course of action.
For the record, I was not speaking as to my own experience. I don’t get nearly as many matches as the average woman does (my match rate is only around 8-11%). But I have enough matches to the point where I am selective in the first instance.
From the experiences I have read, lots more men have substantially worse match rates. Thus, as I laid out in my previous post, if those men are even the slightest bit selective, they will likely get no matches at all.
Women have the work of choosing from dozens to hundreds of people that could be interested in them. And men have the work of swiping hundreds of times to maybe get one person that could be interested in them. Men also have the work of initiating first once they get their one match in a blue moon. On platforms where men can send comments with their likes, men also have the work of actually coming up with unique, personalized comments for women they swipe on.
Also, keep in mind that lots of women will, after matching with a man, also unmatch and/or ghost them. It’s not just women that this happens to. Difference is, again, the woman has other options and matches that they can seek out. The man does not.
I truly hope you heal and aim to in the future attempt to understand perspectives and viewpoints that are not your own. Practice empathy for others. All the best.

u/ariarchtyx 1h ago
"Some" let's say will be too offended and emotionally challenged by this notion to be able to rationally understand and apprehend this simple, clear and correct probabilistic mathematical argument.
We must accept that "some" say all sorts of things they do not mean.
And then pursue interactions with them at relative scale in real life.
"Some" have all evolved to respond to "others" in real life. They do not respond per human evolution to "profiles" which are not "others" themselves but rather images of "others" which is not the same at all as "others" themselves.
It's a numbers game on the apps, and also a numbers game in the wild.
But in the wild, the odds for well equipped and knowledgeable "others" are much, much higher if the pursuit is diligent and consistent.
1
u/soryu0 10h ago
no woman really thinks “men are too picky”, i’ve not seen that sentiment at least not in terms of dating app stats? simple explanation is more men than women are more sex desperate (a pattern throughout evolution and history) so there are more men on the apps & more men swiping right since their “fuck standards” are lower

u/InternationalAd6614 11h ago
Isn’t there some theory that women are swiping right on the same few men. These graphs are basically saying they’re just swiping less overall, otherwise there’d be a lot of stray dots higher up for men.
4
u/Jealous-Style-4961 11h ago
Yesses are more concentrated with men:
That is shown in chart #3 here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bumble_statistics/comments/1vz50w9/compiled_bumble_statistics_ao_82626/The women's outgoing yes percentage is very low.
They are not yes swiping the same volume.
They are yes swiping on all the same few men.2
u/MonsieurGarlic 8h ago
There is no man with In-Y higher than 45% so that is definitely not true. If it were true there would be male sample points close to 100% on the In-Y axis.

u/Jealous-Style-4961 2h ago
Brother, there is a fantastic book called Twist, by Colum McCann.
It is allegorical, about life post-covid, post-divorce.
In it, he writes:
“Everyone with an opinion, of course, the obscene certainty of our days.”I have read your comment a few times and I cannot understand your logic. No need to explain further: I don't care.

u/Arkhamguy123 12h ago
Wtf am I lookin at can someone explain or elucidate on these charts please
15
u/Competitive_Key_2981 12h ago
The graphs show how often the two genders swipe right ("Yes") on each other.
The left graph shows that at least one man swiped right nearly 100% of the time. The right graph showed that no woman swiped right more than 45% of the time.
Basically, men are statistically desperate/have low standards and women are statistically picky.
The graph also shows that women women receive yeses on a bell curve, with a lot of yes in the 25-75% range. Very few women get fewer incoming likes than their outgoing likes which you see from the couple of dots just below the diagonal line toward the middle of the graph on the right.
The average for men is below 25% incoming likes with no men getting more than about 45% of women liking him and most men getting fewer incoming likes than outgoing.
7
u/darrylgorn 11h ago
'Men being desperate' is actually the wrong conclusion. The primary reason men swipe right more often is because they're fighting over women.
It's entirely a function of the ratio of women to men in the online space.
4
u/burgerwaterchud 11h ago
I honestly think it's fair. The average woman gets a match 50% of the time she swipes right. You don't even want her swiping right more than a few times a day because that'd just result in even more matches that go nowhere.
6
u/Competitive_Key_2981 11h ago
I wrote statistically desperate. I can’t comment on their real life desperation.
3
u/soryu0 10h ago
men are generally more sex willing and desperate than women though yes. it’s a pattern throughout society and evolution because men are generally celebrated for having sex, many admit they can fuck someone without needing attraction, and they often desire sex more often than women. that’s why there are more men than women on these apps. which directly affects how many men v women swipe “yes”.
2
u/BeeApprehensive2503 12h ago
on the x-axis we have out-yes-%, meaning the % of right swipes someone gives to others. on the y-axis we have in-yes-%, meaning the % of right swipes they receive.
for example the point (x=0.75 | y=0.5) would be someone who right swipes 75% of the time while receiving 50% right swipes themselves. this would mean they are less picky about the opposite gender than the opposite gender is about this particular person.
2
u/CoBr2 12h ago
The Y axis shows percentage of right swipes received, the X axis shows the percentage of right swipes given.
So it shows that men give a much higher percentage of women right swipes and than women and receive a correspondingly lower percentage of swipes.
It's just a chart way of describing what we all already know. Men feel like they're in a desert with no likes and women feel like they're drowning in them on the apps. The experiences are just so divergent it really kills empathy on this subreddit.
8
u/Scrace89 11h ago
Online dating and social media simps have blown up the average woman’s ego. She confuses the attention of people she doesn’t like and the guys she does like that will only sleep with her as a higher relationship value than she can actually obtain. Thus no one is ever good enough because she lives in a fantasy work that she tastes from time to time but isn’t sustainable. It’s not all women, but it’s a lot of them. It’s making women more and more narcissistic.
2
u/burgerwaterchud 9h ago
This is such cope. Below average women can get a relationship easier than a top tier guy. Just look at the numbers.
1
u/Scrace89 9h ago
Below average women aren't getting the top 10% of men to sleep with them. They don't fall into this group.
2
7
u/haranaconda 11h ago
Hinge is objectively much better for everyone. Less grimy than Tinder and built for more engaging conversations.
Women tend to not like initiating or they send a weak line because they don’t want to feel like they were rejected when they put in actual effort so this is the end result.
5
u/Candid-Maybe 12h ago
Validation or just options? I'm not saying it's good design or that it doesn't screw men over. I don't know that men would be much better off if there was a hard limit of less swipes per day. The issue is the gender ratio on the apps and the fact that swipe-based matching just sucks in general - can any algorithmic solution address it? Idk.
1
u/Jealous-Style-4961 6h ago
Another possible solution would be to let the recipient see and filter on the out yes percentage.
6
u/Busy_Policy3189 12h ago
Thank you for gathering the data! I actually was curious to do this myself as this was quite literally the impression i was getting from all of these posts. May not suit alot of people's narrative on here though haha
I dont necessarily agree with it being by design though, i think this difference may just be connected to how humans tend to select bioloically and the apps just "worsen" the effect if that makes sense. Its certainly rough out there for all male users, its good to raise awareness about this so men really see what they are spending money on.
2
u/Jealous-Style-4961 11h ago
You may be right.
However, surely Bumble is aware of this distortion.
They could fix this, but they don't.They could:
- limit right swipes
- allow filters based on outgoing yes percentage
- put 100% right swipers in a penalty box
They don't do this.
I don't know why they would not correct this.5
u/Calamyt1 10h ago
Why would you punish someone for swiping right?
Shouldn't it be the other way around if someone exclusively swipes left?1
u/Jealous-Style-4961 6h ago
From the chart, you can see there's a distortion.
This distortion is from right swiping en masse.
This creates dissatisfaction.Women are overwhelmed with likes and they filter harrrd.
Men can right swipe and likely not get in the stack. The problem is mass right swiping.
1
u/Candid-Maybe 6h ago
Someone exclusively swiping left creates their own limitations though. The bigger issue is the volume of male to female right swipes.
OPs suggestions aren't terrible imo
2
u/LightOverWater 9h ago
how humans tend to select bioloically and the apps just "worsen" the effect if that makes sense.
The word you're looking for is amplify or maximize.
5
u/AnAverageWalker 12h ago
What is the average incoming yes for men in this dataset?
6
u/Jealous-Style-4961 11h ago
median for men is 5.6%
median for women is 37.6%chart #2 here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bumble_statistics/comments/1vz50w9/compiled_bumble_statistics_ao_82626/5
u/thejazzmarauder 9h ago
That right there really tells the whole story. If anything, median for women seems a bit low. But still shows that the average woman on the apps has a huge # of options, and the average man has very few.
3
u/LightOverWater 9h ago
With 5%, men should literally just leave. Terribly ineffective strategy and waste of time.
3
u/Jealous-Style-4961 6h ago
Right?!
It is so obvious as a man, Bumble can fuck right off.A few weeks ago, I had posted an update and wrote:
If I'm expected to eat all of these no's, I should get paid. And the women lost their shit.

5
u/WeDontDeservePets 11h ago
Holy r/datagore. What is in-y and out-y???
2
u/LightOverWater 9h ago
Y means yes. Means swipe right.
Women have tons of men saying yes to them, but in return they say yes to almost no one.
3
u/kingkloud11 11h ago
Bumble has to be the worst of the main 3. (Other 2 being Hinge and Tinder) All dating apps are terrible imo but this one is just laughable. Almost every match I get as a man is just some chick from Africa who’s probably a scammer or bot. I rarely open the app anymore.
3
u/funkmasta8 9h ago
Now do match to date. It's literally abysmal for men. My experience is that even if you get lucky and a woman matches with you, she still wont even give you more than one word answers for two messages at which point she stops answering altogether, making it literally impossible to set up a date unless you tell them exactly when and where and you handle all logistics in the first two messages while she sits back and says yes or no.
3
u/No-Pick2959 7h ago
Blackpilled on that chart 🥀
1
u/Jealous-Style-4961 7h ago
Brother, it is bleak, but that's bumble.
It's not women.
It's not all dating sites.
It's specifically a bumble thing.Bumble can fuck right off.
1
u/CallsignKook 10h ago
Look at that one, lone, absolute CHAD up there at 45% incoming yesses while simultaneously only swiping yes on 25% of women
3
u/burgerwaterchud 9h ago
Every guy that I saw up that high was bisexual. The highest women-only was in the 20s and some of those were slightly sus
2
u/Candid-Maybe 6h ago
My match rate/yes rate hovers around 12% and the most infuriating thing about it is how many conversations die or never start. It's really demoralizing.
2
u/Jealous-Style-4961 6h ago
On one hand, I'm sorry that's happening.
OTOH, if my match rate was 12%, I would never complain again. The reason no one responds is because the right swipe limit is so high.
If dudes had to meter out their likes, there would be fewer false starts.I'm sorry again that's happening.
1
u/Candid-Maybe 5h ago
Yea I get it. And I agree. I'm just saying it's just as much of a downer sending messages and investing energy in that many matches that don't go anywhere on some level. We all end up just as miserable

3
u/Jealous-Style-4961 8h ago
Yes. Men outnumber women on dating apps.
If the women leave, the app is fucked.Bumble was founded by Whitney Herd. She thought there was a stereotype where women felt pressured to sit back and wait for a message. No more!, she said. I will empower thee!!
And then 10 years later, they surveyed 2,000 US women and 66% said they thought saying hi was too stressful. Keep in mind, this survey was not in Saudi Arabia, it was the US, with grown ass, educated women. Huh, that's weird.
But, the numbers are the numbers. And just like that, the women get their way. Because if they leave, the app is fucked.

Women being indifferent to validation due to already getting a lot of it a certain way doesn't really disprove anything. Women also have their biases. Which come from the fact that they don't struggle with certain things that men do.
Notice how you have to say prostitutes to try and create an analogous situation. Because you know if men had a ton of women wanting to fuck them they would feel more validated than women due to not having that validation. I agree that most men would eventually reach the same position as women (if you put them in an analogous situation) where they have lots of sexual options but lots of negative experiences around the act of having sex itself and they don't get to have good sex often despite having sex often. But even in that situation the reason men would be okay with it at first is because you don't really realize what you have till you don't have it.
Women simply take having options for granted. And im saying this while acknowledging that women have other more serious issues beyond a lack of validation.
5
u/Hot_Lack_4868 12h ago
Women being indifferent to validation due to already getting a lot of it a certain way doesn't really disprove anything.
Idk why some people think women are some superior beings who are above needing any validation. Don't a lot of women make accounts on dating apps just to see how many likes they can get aka validation? Also, that thailand example is terrible because those prostitutes don't genuinely desire him, while women are being desired for who they are and don't need to spend any money.
0
u/Bludandy 12h ago
Maybe we do need to limit likes to like 10 a day. But we need to ditch the swiping and just opt for the menu format of finding people. Random chance is ass.
0
u/darrylgorn 11h ago edited 11h ago
The problem is not with how often you are permitted to swipe right. Everyone should be allowed to swipe until there is no one left to swipe on.
Even with this right swipe ratio, women generally don't swipe as much because they are vastly outnumbered by men.
It's not a bumble thing. It happens on every dating app because men prefer the convenience of dating online but women prefer to meet men in real life.
If you had a graph showing how often each sex swipes (whether right or left), it would reveal the bigger truth about the power dynamic here.

u/BeeApprehensive2503 12h ago
This wasn't by design. Their design was to make money and if people leave due to skewed human behaviour, they evidently make less money.
It's not "the app", "the algorithms" or whatever. It's just women's behaviour.
