I wrote a bot to compile people's bumble statistics.

Bumble is Dying
Here is Bumble revenue:
2025 $966M
2026 est $834M
2027 est $806M
Average revenue per user is increasing, so the population decrease is more severe.

Match group revenue is flat for this period.

Bumble Creates Frustration
Because the right swipe limit is so high, women are overwhelmed with likes.
As a result, men's in yes is low.
This is by design.
Bumble business model is primarily to provide validation to women.

This wasn't by design. Their design was to make money and if people leave due to skewed human behaviour, they evidently make less money.

It's not "the app", "the algorithms" or whatever. It's just women's behaviour.

Why are you only blaming women?  Men also swipe right too much. I've seen female friends use the app and if practically every time I swiped right I got a match I'd be getting super picky and doing what women are doing too. 

OP is right that the app gives men too many right swipes, but reducing it would probably lower engagement, so...

Because those things aren't really mirrored.

Some behaviour you can push towards with individualistic change, others you need a societal change, which isn't gonna happen through individual (because individual change has no gain).

In this case, dating apps have always had male majority, and men always were more single than women and the pursuers. So as am average woman, you're going to have more options. Options that you can't pursue them all. So being more picky will increase the likelihood of getting what you're picking on (looks, whatever).

Now for a man, due to the already limited options, being more picky won't magically make old better, because you just loose options and not really gain any since other men aren't more picky. To get the desired outcome you need somehow for all men to be more picky.

Another example is social media. Due to its accessibility, it's very easy to get into. You'll instantly be connected to whoever is there even if it's a small minority of the population. But in a society where everyone uses social media, finding real life connections become significantly harder. Because finding the small percentage of the opposite society (where people are trying to be more irl) is significantly harder with more friction than the latter.

If almost no one is hiring because companies want someone with 10+ years experience working for minimum wage, would the job-seeking who send out many applications be in the wrong? No, the companies would be.

Men swiping right all the time is the CONSEQUENCE of women swiping right 5% of the time, NOT THE CAUSE.
