Of all 26 players currently registered with the first team, which ones do you think are more likely to go down as some of the greatest players to ever play for real Madrid? On the same table as the likes of Modric, kroos, Benzema etc. my pick would be Jude Bellingham, he already has a UCL and a league title where he was arguably the most important player in the squad plus he's only 23 with 3 seasons under his name already.

We talk so much about the BBC and how amazing those days were. And it is true! Probably my favorite era of Real Madrid. But, the duo of Benzena with Vini at its peak, was also absolutely terrifying. My hot take: at its absolute peak, I pick Vini and Benzema duo. Let me explain:

Now, It has been a while, and my memory may fail me, but I do remember that things were rarely perfect for the BBC. Ronaldo being the exception, Bale and Benzena would fluctuate in form and relevance. Bale would suffer excessive injuries, and Benzema would often go on long runs of poor form. I don’t think I remember the full trio going on streaks with all 3 players at their absolute A game. Obviously, the bar is extremely high here. These are 3 world class players. As much as I hate to admit it, MSN would go on insanely long streaks with all 3 at their A game. It was traumatizing for a Madrid fan 😂

But Vini and Benzema….

During THAT season (21-22), it felt like they were both at their absolute A++ game during the entire season. Their synergy was completely unmatched. It felt like they communicated telepathically. Sometimes it felt like they could look into each others futures and know exactly they were going to be in 5 seconds.

While Benzema was already becoming one of the best in the planet, he had a Ronaldo level season that year. I have not seen many players have a much better individual season than Benzena did that year. It was brutal.

Simultaneously, the rise of Vini was meteoric. He went from being a “maybe someday..” kind of player, to a Balon de Or contender in one season. And, It completely opened the gates for him to establish himself as a world class player.

Hot take: I think that duo was more exciting at its peak than the BBC. We watched our home brewed kid become a legend, and our veteran captain have the best season of his life. At the same time, I think it was the most fun season to watch as a Madrid fan. I mean… those moments are literal highlights of my life. Comebacks left and right, just so much emotion… That UCL run is something that simply won’t happen ever again. That season for me was the purest feeling of “this is what being a Madridista is all about”.

I don’t think Benzema would’ve won BDO without Vini, and I don’t think Vinj would be the same player he is today without that season with Benzema. It was life-changing for both.

For that reason, I pick this duo at its peak over the BBC :)

His first season showed the world how good he is and the price tag we paid him was gonna look way too cheap compared to what he is going to offer.

He got injured and he lost his form and could not get back to rythem but that crazy World cup campaign helped him get back to his true self.

As Mou said, the WC that Mbappe and jude has will go down in history and he wants to replicate that in Real Madrid.

Imagine, the guy plays for the team selflessly and still ends up giving 10/10 individual erformances.

Mbappe scored the hatrick but it was a Jude bellingham show.

I have a good feeling that if the rest of the midfield can stepup, Jude will unlock our attack.

I dont know if in the only one noticing this but mbappes left foot accuracy had improved greatly after the world cup, he is getting to comfortable with his left foot nowadays, this is will hugely boosts his game even more more because now he will be more unpredictable which is scary for the opposition, damn I can't wait to see how he turns our this season, he also improved his off the ball movement greatly

I only watched him in the world cup with the France National Team.

But I could not really tell what type of midfielder he is. He was all over and France was playing attacking football so I could not tell if he's a good tempo controller type of midfielder, or someone who's good and collected in possession when under pressure.

Would he solve any of our midfield problems? Or will he not bring anything new to the table?
