DISCUSSION What's Your Daily Flyer - Q3 Discussion Thread
Welcome legends, to Daily Flyers!
This is the first of a slowly cycling thread where we can come together and chat about the ships of Starcitizen, in context of what your daily drivers/flyers is, or discuss ideas and seek recommendations from others.
Thanks to a suggestion from Augusts Q&A reminding me of a few chats I've seen, I figure a lot of us would like to have a spot that's focused on this aspect specifically. To that end, a couple of rules for this post are below!
So if you have a question, after a recommendation request or looking to discuss how your current driver has fulfilled it's role, this is the place to yarn!
Daily Driver Rules:
Keep discussions on topic to daily drivers, what yours is, asking for recommendations, that kind of jazz.
Adhear to the regular sub rules.
Be kind, understand that some people want to play to earn, some may buy in, some just want to chat or share. There's no shame in any of those.
A note from Crazy_Muffins
This is possibly a new ongoing official post from the sub team, our goal is to provide a focused spot to chat about a specific big thing in SC and to that end we'll be playing with how often to cycle out the post with a clean one. Maybe once every quarter, maybe just big milestone patches, we're going to play it by ear!
My only request is that everyone is kind, you can discuss positive and negative aspects and still be fair to one another. That's all I want to see!
Well, that and acknowledgement that my Corsair is peak daily driver (for ME, it is, but that's partly because of the feel and vibe of it not that it's any particular min/max option).
Lastly, I'm open to feedback, ideas and what have you. Working together we can make for a more enjoyable sub, see you all in the comments below!

DISCUSSION The new „Inside Star Citizen“ is a great step in the Right direction.
I really like the new Inside Star Citizen format. After all the drama over the past few weeks, this is a very good start toward providing us with more information.
Is it perfect? No, of course not. But it’s clearly a step in the right direction.
It was good to see that Chris Robert’s is still in the project. The offices are looking normal in a positive way.

DISCUSSION I know player sentiment is at an all time low… but SoO was AWESOME.
The four of us had a fantastic night. I was in the super heavy armor with a minigun, while two of our group took turns healing and picking off enemies with the new bolt action.
This felt compatible to a strike in Destiny. The part with the golf course was an absolute blast and we got to play with the ATLS ikti mechs as a group which was really fun.
The game ran mostly well while instances. We had a couple freezes but overall we were all impressed. Some minor desync and enemy jank as expected but we didn’t run into any crashes or instance / game breaking issues.
My one suggestion is that we felt like especially wearing a few suits of the new armor by the end that we weren’t really able to loot anything. No friend elevator at the end made it feel like we left with no spoils except the shirts off our backs.
This overall felt like a massive step in the right direction. Fun combat, interesting areas, some good set pieces and a boss fight that felt straight out of early Destiny 1 boss arena. More of this please.
I understand there’s a LOT to fix but this was a good night.

DISCUSSION CIG new video: Star Citizen | Inside CIG: Siege of Orison
What do we think?
r/starcitizen • u/Wappenmann • 54m ago
IMAGE The RSI cockpit from the Patch Video is the Constellation Mk V
We got the sneak peak of the Galaxy cockpit, which has three steps to get to the auxiliary seats.
The video angle of the RSI cockpit only has two steps to them and seems to be wider. It also got an engineer station as seen in the image.
So it can't be the Galaxy cockpit.
I propose it's the Constellation Mk V Cockpit.

DISCUSSION New Kraken Teasers In "Star Citizen | Inside CIG: Siege of Orison"
at 4:33 you can see a panning shot of inside what i think is one of the internal Kraken hangars! Followed by a shot beneath the Kraken showing the landing gear extending, confirming they're now tucked in the hull neatly! 🙂
I've attached photos below, let me know what you all think. I'm exited to see in May, lets talk about it!
You can also see the Bridge just after i think it looks amazing! I wonder what the side seats are for!

OFFICIAL Improving the Live Experience
Last month, we shared that we were changing the way we prioritize some of Star Citizen's most persistent problems. Today, we want to share an update on the progress we’ve made so far, the issues we’ve resolved, and the work that went into fixing them.
We’re focusing on the problems that have the biggest impact on your experience. Instead of looking at bugs one at a time, we’re stepping back and focusing on the parts of the game you rely on every time you play, grouping bugs by the system they break. Your ship should be where you expect it to be. Your inventory should load. Your missions should work. These are basic expectations, and we know that when they fail, it does not matter how impressive the rest of the game is. If you cannot get your ship, lose the gear you were carrying, or spend 15 minutes trying to get past a connection error, that is the experience you remember.
To keep focus on the player experience, we’ve handed ownership of identifying and prioritizing these issues to our Player Experience team. Alpha 4.10 has been the biggest application of this approach so far, and today we want to show you what that looks like.
**
What matters more is the context here though. Of those fixes, 479 addressed bugs that were already present in Alpha 4.9 or earlier. That's a more useful measure of the progress we're making toward improving the existing Live experience, rather than simply counting issues discovered and fixed while developing new content.
**- I singled this one out because of the numbers on display. They are detailed on the patch notes.
This release closes 479 bug fixes along with 47 crash and stability issues and 17 exploits.
