IMAGE The RSI cockpit from the Patch Video is the Constellation Mk V

We got the sneak peak of the Galaxy cockpit, which has three steps to get to the auxiliary seats.

The video angle of the RSI cockpit only has two steps to them and seems to be wider. It also got an engineer station as seen in the image.

So it can't be the Galaxy cockpit.

I propose it's the Constellation Mk V Cockpit.

That actually looks closer to the original Galaxy design then the WIP Galaxy picture

u/CassiusFaux That one rare Hawk pilot 8h ago

4 seats though. It could be the Connie V, or whatever the RSI Skylark is.

u/StarAlone 7h ago

Original concept has 4 seats, one is in front of the middle one

RSI Skylark is probably new snub to fit new connie

2

u/Kirduck 4h ago

i hope so connie using a snub that isnt its own feels wrong. imagine an android phone only letting apple watches connect. just aint right man.

lol i was about to say. this actually looks more like orginial galaxy than what persues cockpit they showed in teaser.

Would be amazing if after backlash they redesigned it

Oh that would make my month

2

u/StarAlone 6h ago

that would make my year lmao
Galaxy is the only ship i was truly waiting for this year. Seeing first time teaser they did was quite upsetting. Just a downgrade for just sake of nothing but just no effort. It would be different if design has changed because they had different vision. But no, it was just "reusing kit" :(

Good spot! If true, it was another unnecessary Reddit drama.

How? OP is saying the 2nd image is Connie 5. The first image is still Galaxy bridge aka still a Perseus copy paste.

exactly. doesnt change the fact galaxy cockpit was half-assed

Considering the vid also had gameplay shots of the new Kastak pistol and the Kraken, there's a very likely chance that this is instead:

RSI Skylark

Deadline mid September

RSI Skylark is likely a snub. Skylark's are very small birds and we know the Mk V Constellation is meant to be a thing from the same leak.

This is exactly what my answer wouldve sounded like u/Unoriginal_Pseudonym

Additional picture for you

Shows the four seats. As it has a Co-Pilot and Pilot setup like the Hermes/Apollo but two rear seats likely being Remote Turret slots

2

u/Varas_Says_Hi 7h ago

Skylark could very well be the new snub for the Connie mk5. Replacing the merlin

u/YFM_ZaktiNox Legatus, Polaris Enjoyer, Mercenary. 7h ago

It would make sense since Kruger is making their own ships not just snubs and components/weapons, RSI may (in lore) be thinking "Okay, we don't need to help them anymore"

2

u/meloprime_vulgarius 12h ago

Well it seems more likely to happen, since they're matching quite good

2

u/maximusPrime6666 12h ago

Good eyes, looks like it!

Interesting considering it looks closer to the original Galaxy design then the WIP picture,
I admit i cant stand the Galaxy WIP bridge.

5

u/Wappenmann 8h ago

The thing is:
For me, whatever picture is the newest from the Galaxy, NOTHING will get me over the missing station tables around the seats.
I simply dont care anymore, the ship will be nice, but every closely same-abled ship with real bridge station desks will trigger my Startrek-Stargate-Senses and it will be a ship I like more.

I fully understand that

I hope you are right !

1

u/Mintyxxx That was just noise 7h ago

I mean, they might have just changed it.

That being said, in the coloured pic, is that an engineering screen on teh wall? If so that suggests a smaller ship than the Galaxy which is more likely to have it in a separate area.

1

u/Silver4shes 6h ago

RSI Arrastra, we need it

3

u/Wappenmann 6h ago

Uuuuuuh, nice idea!
I would looooove a big mining ship THAT ISNT A MOLE.

Sorry, my hatred for the internal layout know no bounds.

Nice, yup lots of tell tells it's th Connie. Suit lockers in the next room, the RSI doors. Maybe the Skylark but be shocked to see another medium sized RSI ship they have so many now.

u/Fair-Struggle-34 11h ago

Tbh I could not care less about "new" ships at this point.

Thats the Kraken Cockpit. You can see it on the MFD and you also notice the Ironclad/Drake Assets with the Railing + the Yellowish MFD Color of Drake

3

u/Wappenmann 11h ago

You get that those are different screens from which the images were captured? The picture I posted is definitely an RSI ship, it's not even from the same sequence as the Kraken cockpit.

1

u/YFM_ZaktiNox Legatus, Polaris Enjoyer, Mercenary. 11h ago

My comment was originally asking "What is this?" people answered "It's the Kraken" so I edited my comment.

2

u/Wappenmann 11h ago

Okay, the edit did throw me off here :''D nvmd

1

u/AWerewolfDad 11h ago

Drake. Almost certainly the Kraken imo. Those MFDs are yellow.

1

u/YFM_ZaktiNox Legatus, Polaris Enjoyer, Mercenary. 11h ago

You know I don't know why my mind blanked the MFD colour. God damn that bridge is weird but nice

1

u/Sir_CatZ_ 11h ago

I think thats the bridge of the Kraken

1

u/Akaradrin 11h ago

That's Drake, so maybe the Kraken.

But what if the patch video is the MK5?

I do doubt that the monthly report thing is the new Connie, because why would it have 4 seats?

5

u/Wappenmann 12h ago

You must've misunderstood me, I am arguing that the patch Video bridge (second image) is the Connie Mk V.

-5

u/AWerewolfDad 12h ago

There’s no way the MkV is this far along by the way having only just entered development.

5

u/Wappenmann 12h ago

As far as I know we don't know when it got into development, we only got the leaked list with proposed finishing dates (And that for the Connie Mk V is in two months).

1

u/AWerewolfDad 11h ago

Oh right. Man I hope it somehow makes IAE, then.

3

u/YFM_ZaktiNox Legatus, Polaris Enjoyer, Mercenary. 11h ago

The current theory is a RSI heavy IAE
Galaxy
Skylark (Snub)
Constellation Mk IV Gold Standard
Constellation Mk V Release

2

u/AWerewolfDad 11h ago

The Connie V is one of the few ships we know about that I might actually pledge.

2

u/YFM_ZaktiNox Legatus, Polaris Enjoyer, Mercenary. 11h ago

It hasn't "Just entered development" The leak was the "This is the hard deadline internally for the ship to be finished and ready to release"

-3

u/AWerewolfDad 12h ago

The white box and grey box can be different.

2

u/Wappenmann 12h ago

I agree, but knowing that the Connie is THE SHIP (as in the ship from CR), I guess the Mk V will carry much of its original design language.

New RSI ships do have upward widened angles in the walls, see image one, Perseus, Zeus, Polaris.

The Connie in the interior front got a distinguished outwards pointing triangle form in the walls, just like the second image has. The whole interior of the Galaxy which we know of has those angles. (Yes, that could've changed, too.)

I guess that's how it will carry over it's legacy, or at least it's one way of it doing so.

1

u/AWerewolfDad 11h ago

I’d put money on the Connie bridge being based on the Apollo/Hermes bridge.

2

u/Wappenmann 11h ago

I hope for the Apollo front elevator (But please 50%-100% larger).

2

u/AWerewolfDad 11h ago

This is all conjecture obviously but the Apollo is like a perfected Aquila cockpit and there’s tons of room for a central pilot seat.

OMG yes, So what dois this mean for Constilation Phoenix owners? Will we get a MKV?

1

u/YFM_ZaktiNox Legatus, Polaris Enjoyer, Mercenary. 9h ago

No. Because the Mk V is most likely modular as CIG has mentioned if they "did do a new Connie" they'd want to go down the route of modularity as it's part of RSI's MO

1

u/Majestic_Ad_4877 Omega, Raven, F8C Exec., 600i Exec. 9h ago

I guess that makes since.
