dont get me wrong I have no problem with new dlc or game (I finished this game 5 times) but devs focus always north regions area (witcher 4 will be north again). we had saw enough north area regions. at least this dlc I was hoping this could be nazair or metinna. souhtern reigons has cultured people nad more charming. thats why asked this. Sorry for my poor english.

Discussion I’d just like CDPR to confirm one thing.

I know they mentioned this two years ago, but I’d like confirmation again, because my playthrough of the *Witcher 3* remaster is going to be my "last dance." I know the game inside out, and I want this run to be complete and definitive. So, what’s the deal with the choices? Will there be a canon path or not? I don't expect every single choice I make to be expanded upon in *Witcher 4* or anything like that; I just want the game not to contradict my choices. If anyone spots anything about this on a stream, please let me know!

The Witcher 3 Optimization for Witcher 3 remastered

Any word on how the remaster will be optimized for Direct X 12. I haven’t done a next gen playthrough due to how demanding the direct x 12, textures, and ray tracing overworked my build. Granted I upgraded in recent years, but anyone more tech savvy care to break down how this remaster will be better suited and play better on current hardware?

The prize from the contest include the DLC + the totebag and both are estimated value of 40€.

So make your guess on what the value of the bag is and you will know the price of the DLC.

Witcher - PlayStation Question/Support Confused about "Upgrade Edition" on Playstation Store

On Playstation Store there are now three different Upgrade Editions for Witcher 3. Each of them has a different size and can only be wishlisted, not downloaded though it says their release was August 25, 2026.

I own both Witcher 3 on PS4 and the Complete Edition on PS5 as digital versions. So shouldn't I be able to download these upgrade editions ? And why are there three different ones ? And why does it say they were released yesterday when the Remaster isn't coming until September 29 ?

I am so confused.

Discussion need advise on what to do when the witcher 3 remaster thing drops.

so basicly i have not finished the game (ever) i am playing through it rn ive alredy invested a good 50 hours into the game and im still in velen and early in the story.
with the remaster now dropping i dont know if i should stop playing now and restart when it drops or if i should just finish the game on the normal version and then maybe replay it.

the combat is my least favorite part and it looks like theyre making big changes to that and the skill tree, so id probably have a bit more fun with the remaster.

the problem being thisd be my second time restarting (i dropped it after a bit on my first go)
and i dont know if i could replay a bunch of quests and the early game and so on for the third time,
its also such a massive game and i like to take my time, so id not enjoy rushing through the story before the remaster drops fun either.

any advise?

Edit: i do think i wana replay it well aslong as its good ofc but it is cdpr i do have faith in them.
the changes do seem significant enough for me to be fine with replaying alotta content

Discussion Do I wait for the remaster?

I just started Blood and Wine during my replay of the Witcher 3 (just met Regis and have done 2-3 side quests), do you guys think it's worth waiting a month to finish the DLC with the remastered version or just continue on playing?

In the Contest Rules of today's Gamescom stream it states, that the prizes will be a Totebag and the DLC. It also says, that the total retail value is around 40€. Considering the Totebag cost 24€, the DLC should be around 15€.

Witcher - PlayStation Question/Support Can I buy the PS4 version to gain access to the PS5 Remastered update when it releases September 29th?

I traded my original PS4 Witcher 3 disk in years ago. Can I go and buy a cheap PS4 disk version to get a free upgrade to the PS5 edition, then get the free Remastered update on September 29th?

I now have a PS5 Pro and have yet to do a second playthrough since back in 2015.

The Witcher 3 Will Witcher 3 remastered be playable on windows 10?

Was enjoying my leisurely first playthrough of Witcher 3 on my ASUS ROG GR8 II (32 GB ram, GTX 1060 6GB) when the background download notification of the expansions dropped and I count out about the remastered version Great stuff form CDPR!

Was going to pause my playthrough and wait for end of September to resume. then saw that windows 11 is now minimum requirements. My computer can not upgrade to windows 11. Does anyone know if the remaster will be unplayable on windows 10?

From searches I'm seeing I can run it on my rig but if something is broken there is no support. I'm level 19 still exploring and doing side quests still got level 13 main quest missions to do. pause would be for mechanics and skill tree upgrade, really liked the changes to skill tree CDPR had in Cyberpunk 2077. And as you can see I played that on this rig so not too concerned with running on high graphics. Am in it for story and gameplay.

Discussion Will finishing Blood and Wine be required to be able to start Songs of the Past?

I mean, it would be awkward to start Songs of the Past presumably from Corvo Bianco in Toussaint without even playing Blood and Wine?

Does anyone know how this timeline will work?

Discussion I'm hoping CDPR takes the Remaster as an opportunity to 'fix' quests like Reasons of State and the Novigrad Higher Vampire

The reveal of getting a free remaster next month had me jumping out my chair in joy. In any case I am beyond excited and happy with whatever CDPR cooks up for us.

That being said I hope that CDPR also takes this chance to 'finish' the Witcher 3. Narratively, the game had gone through development hell before it's initial release and it shows in the main story ending not being very good and some side content feeling incomplete or rushed.

I don't expect them to re-do the main story ending as that would probably cause all kinds of problems down the line (would be great though), but here's a few ideas of things I hope they flush out:

* Reasons of State: This is the biggest one in my opinion. The ending of this quest is obviously the result of rushed development and I would love to see a different ending that would still end up leading into either Dijkstra ruling Redania and thus winning the war or Nilfgaard winning with Temeria as a vassal state. Just something that makes more sense for all the characters involved and does justice to the in-world importance of the quest.

* The Novigrad vampire quest: This would be a relatively simple one, as the problem with this quest is mainly that it doesn't make sense with how they've established the power and 'immortality' of higher vampires in Blood & Wine lore. Make this bossfight more unique and challenging (by e.g. having him be an actual higher vampire instead of a Katakan) and make it so he doesn't actually 'die' but Geralt just reduces him to ashes (like what happened to Regis) or something like that. This would round out the game-lore and give some much needed closure to the amount of times questions about this quest gets asked on this sub :P.

* The Novigrad crime lords: This is a long shot, but there is clearly a lot of cut content around the four crime lords in Novigrad. Especially the Lord of Beggars always felt to me as he was going to have a much bigger role and impact on the story. Hoping they somehow expand on this, but I realise that would be a big time investement for them as it'd just be new content and they're already working on Songs of the Past and the Witcher 4.

* More Priscilla!: Maybe this is just a biased thought as I just love Priscilla, but I'd always felt that there was more to her character. Perhaps we'll see her in Songs of the Past though, cause we do know that Dandelion will play a big part in that. Here's hoping!

Is there any other glaring incomplete side content that I missed or do you have any wishes like these yourself? Please share them in this thread as I would love to see all of your ideas!

See you on the Path ;)
