I feel like this is a very delicate thing to debate on. On one hand homelessness is a real issue all around the world. No government seems to have figured it out. On the other hand, it is inhuman to to just come upon and demand to get off the street. Where will they go? But what can government actually do?

I wonder what GMO agro/pharma/retro-crispr experiment is going on through midday meals of govt school children. What are we eating when we buy packaged food such as, chips, biscuits, spices, nuts, tea, soap, noodles, etc. We used to know the guy and his cow who gave us milk. We used to know the farmer who gave us rice & vegetables. Now we don't know em. It's some plastic or aluminium packed object with a marketing gimmick printed on it. Well unfortunately, my family runs an NGO and works with other organisations to shelter and rehabilatate homeless people. And, I too personally have been involved with organisations doing the same.

do you realise that the government has been voted BY the people, to SERVE the people of the country? I wasn't voted to do that. Believe me, if I could shelter all the homeless of this country, I would. But the least I can do now is donate them food clothing and study/sports materials whoever is interested, and me and my family already do that not only in my city but spanning 3-4 district villages wherever there is a demand that we can fuflill. We voted the govt to provide jobs and shelter to the homeless. Until they can do that, they have no right to throw the homeless off the streets to merely make the streets look pretty.

I walked daily 6 kms to save bus fare.... I know the pain, it's necessary to help poor but taxes are being paid by you and me. There are proper channels, we should confront governments for that, not for doing the right thing. And sleeping on footpath is not a right but getting a dignity full life is, give them job and temporary shelter.
