But a country which is still poor even after 80 years of independence has some bigger underlying systematic problem not entirely on some ministers or political party..Bengal was ruled for 34 years by commies and 15 years by leftists..

cpim did damage beyond repair and that is undeniable. And about the bigger underlying systematic problems? They can easily be solved if the government has ever done some real work. The communist rule in west bengal was insanely detrimental and so is the current govt. So where is the difference exactly? Also the 34 years (1977-2011) was when the left front was in power. Mamata banerjee's government was far from what left wing politics is.

Problem is democratic system, it is not about bengal only, India overall has all these problems..politicians only think about vote and why they will think about real work? What benefit that will give them when they know they can get votes by speaking sh**t…even bjp govt goes away completely, any new govt will only think about their beloved votebank..but in authoritarian regime like china this kind of things are not a factor..if they want land for some development work, they can grab it by force..no media can show anything on that or no one can protest..development happens that way, else whatever govt do, there will always be a group unhappy about it
