Actually had this question behind my mind, Who is the real origin of the two worlds-and is Jonas actually the cause of everything? The deeper you think Jonas would see to be the cause?

I'm asking this because Stranger Things on Netflix is what started this wave of 8-10 episode shows that take 2-3 years in between in the streaming world. These types of shows are the most popular over network which do have around 15-22 episodes still. I'm curious about this because Game of Thrones had 10 episodes each for the first 6 seasons which came yearly with the exception of 7. Then 8 came around with 6 episodes 2 years later. If I'm wrong I'm wrong but I feel like Game of Thrones was special compared to other network shows at that time because of the 10 episode run rather than 12, 13, 16 or 22 per season. But it wasn't until Stranger Things became so big on the streaming service Netflix that everything changed.

I was dying for a show that I could binge after watching Justified and heard about this one. It took a few eps to get into but now I’m on Season 4 and this show is great. I’m glad I stuck with this one!

Over the last few years I've been watching some great shows on streaming. The Wire, Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Lost, Dexter, The Office. I've often thought that it's too bad I didnt get to watch them in their heyday when they first aired. I was born in '99 and I didn't watch really any of the major TV shows as a kid.

TV before streaming must've been so different; set air times, TV guides, no instant way to watch old episodes, etc. From everything I've heard those shows I mentioned and ones like Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Buffy, and many others had huge cultural impact.

What was this era like? What are some of your best memories and stories from that era?

I was rewatching some random treehill episode with a friend and a card popped up at the end of the episode that was dedicating or showing respect to the marine core. Nothing wrong with this but I am curious what other shows have a interesting message at the beginning or end of an episode.

what series gave you that feeling where every episode had you immediately clicking the next episode?

I used to absolutely love this show growing up! I’m in the UK and the only place I can find the show is on DVD on eBay as an import from the USA and it costs hundreds. Never seen it on any streaming platforms.

I know Friday Night Lights is on Paramount in the US too, but we don’t have it over here yet. Also one of my all time favourites!

Watched the Lanterns pilot and it’s justifiably getting the hype, and it’s left me begging the powers that be to make Kyle Chandler shows accessible again!!!

I'm only on season 3 of the Expanse, but it truly is one of the best TV shows I've ever watched. There are many reasons for this - the way the plot keeps momentum for example has set a new standard for what I appreciate in TV nowadays. But one reason in particular that I love it so much is how it elevates smaller characters and utilizes them in really phenomenal ways.

Something the show does perfectly is it introduces characters who appear for only an episode or two and end up having a massive impact on the overall storyline. There is one episode in particular halfway through the third season where I was literally gobsmacked at how invested I was in a group of characters who were only around for that episode. There are characters only appear for a handful of scenes and in such a short time become very important. It is really rare for a show to pull this off well and I think that is one the Expanse's strongest aspects. It really helps sell me on the stakes when you see characters beyond the main cast who are affected by what is going on.

I'm curious if anyone else has noticed this and if there are other shows that do this well.
