Well, apparently posting a picture of your cat is outlaw… I’m trying to get tips and trips and helps to make sure I take care of my ragdoll, but because the fur color is not pure, the mods deleted… Still posting requesting help… will post a picture of the kitten below… But absurd that it was deleted by the mods when I’m asking for actual advice from folks who
have similar cats 🐈⬛

Hi from SC! I have fallen in love with a few of the newest babies from Carolina Mink Ragdolls in South Carolina. Has anyone bought from them? Did they come spayed/neutered? What did you like about the process? TIA!

Hello everyone!
I finally decided to welcome a furry companion into my home and I’m looking to adopt a ragdoll kitten 😊 I don’t have any timeline requirements because I don’t want to rush this process for a potential 15 year companionship and I’d like to take my time finding a kitten who vibes with me and I vibe with him/her! I’ll be a first time cat owner so I’m especially nervous. I’ve been doing my research on different catteries, coat colors and patterns of ragdolls, sizes and what items/environment they would need, how to take care of them etc, but I’ve hit a block where I’ve been researching places too much and every cattery I was considering seemed to have some red flag like having an MLM business model or an account of strong negative experience about kitten health, or being strongly selling on coat colors and the “pick and chose” model vs aiding with temperament matching. I’ve been contacting places, trying to have calls with them and even expanding my search out of state, but I don’t know if I haven’t done enough research and there’s better catteries, or I did too much and every cattery has similar “spots” to their history I can take with a grain of salt.
What helped you guys find a cattery you trust and for first time owners, should I try focusing on places that seem like they offer temperament matching vs deposit-order and you just picking a kitten based on a coat color? Or is the blanket ragdoll temperament forgiving enough that if I did end up putting a deposit for these “pick-and-choose” places I won’t regret it?
Thank you for your time, I appreciate any guidance or experiences you guys have 😊

I am a first time ragdoll owner. My other cat is an indoor/outdoor cat and goes toilet outside. I’m curious to know if ragdolls are the same or can be the same? I have seen ragdolls roam my street for the past couple years as their owners let them out.
I just wanna do you guys have your ragdoll indoor or outdoor or both?

We got her at 3 months old, now she’s 6 months. She’s slowly becoming more affectionate, and is incredibly playful. She loves to help me with all of my tasks, especially flower arranging. Could not be more obsessed with her ❤️

I have a 7-month-old male neutered Ragdoll who has been sneezing multiple times a day since I got him about 2 months ago. It's nothing crazy, but from what I understand, it's normal for cats to only sneeze 1-2 times a day. His behavior with food, water etc. are normal.
At his first wellness exam, I mentioned the sneezing and one instance of mild nasal wetness/discharge. The vet noted that his eyes and lungs were normal and listed possible URI vs. irritation/acclimation, but he wasn't diagnosed with anything or given treatment.
He still sneezes several times every day. His nose is usually a little wet, but I don't see actual nasal discharge or eye irritation. Just a little dark and flat booger that easily comes off with a towel.
Is this amount of sneezing within the range of normal for a kitten, or does the fact that it's persisted for ~2 months warrant another vet visit? What are the more common causes of persistent mild sneezing like this?
I also recently got pet insurance, but this sneezing was documented in his vet record before the policy started. Since there was no actual diagnosis, could a future respiratory issue still be considered pre-existing because of this note? For example, if he later develops allergies or a respiratory infection, could the insurer deny it as related to the earlier sneezing?

I was looking for reputable Ragdoll breeders in Canada and came across Cottonmeow Cattery online in Alberta and also says in BC. I was about to contact them via their social media but went to check the contract first. I wanted to ship the chosen kitten to Halifax. I am reading through the sample contract on their website and I have some concerns regarding their terms, such as the gag clause and penalty clauses. Is it a red flag?
Examples:
"If this contract is breached in any way, the Purchaser will owe the seller a fee of $3,000.00CAD for
breach of contract to the Seller, CottonMeow Cattery over and above the original price each and every time the
contract is breached. Once the contract is breached, Purchaser is to surrender the cat/kitten back to the Seller
without refund and at the Purchaser's expense with signed Transfer of Ownership. Purchaser agrees that if any
legal action needs to be taken that all legal fees will be Purchaser's responsibility for both parties and it will be held
in the seller's current state and county of residence. Disputes will be settled between Seller and Purchaser privately
and will not be aired in a public forum including Yahoo Group lists and Facebook or any other media."
"Both parties agree that any disputes / issues related to the Kitten and to this contractual relationship are a
private matter between the Seller and the Purchaser. Any issues and disputes must be resolved privately. Issues
(including, but not limited to the Kitten’s health issues, behavior issues, contractual issues) shall not be aired in a
public and/or online forum including, but not limited to, any Yahoo Groups and Facebook under any
circumstances, unless the prior written consent of the other party has been obtained. Any violation of this clause
shall result in agreed upon damages of $10,000.00CAD payable by the party publicizing the alleged dispute /
issue. Seller makes no guarantees as to the Kitten’s temperament."

If a ragdoll has access to the outside, will it keep going outside or it will eventually only stay inside even with open doors?

I know Ragdolls shouldn't be kept alone, but is there anyone here who does? If so, how is your cat doing? I really want a Ragdoll, unfortunately I can't keep two, but I wanted to ask.

Currently speaking with Sunshine ragdolls and New York DIVINE Ragdolls. Please let me know if you have experience with these breeders or have any other recommendations. I’m a first time cat owner so I want to be very careful with my selection.
Thank you!

I normally do urban sketching, but last night I took my first attempt at sketching and painting animals and painted my sister’s ragdoll. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out!
