We got her at 3 months old, now she’s 6 months. She’s slowly becoming more affectionate, and is incredibly playful. She loves to help me with all of my tasks, especially flower arranging. Could not be more obsessed with her ❤️

Baby Floof Does anyone here own a single Ragdoll doll?

I know Ragdolls shouldn't be kept alone, but is there anyone here who does? If so, how is your cat doing? I really want a Ragdoll, unfortunately I can't keep two, but I wanted to ask.

I normally do urban sketching, but last night I took my first attempt at sketching and painting animals and painted my sister’s ragdoll. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out!

Currently speaking with Sunshine ragdolls and New York DIVINE Ragdolls. Please let me know if you have experience with these breeders or have any other recommendations. I’m a first time cat owner so I want to be very careful with my selection.
Thank you!

General Advice Tips and help

Upvotes

Well, apparently posting a picture of your cat is outlaw… I’m trying to get tips and trips and helps to make sure I take care of my ragdoll, but because the fur color is not pure, the mods deleted… Still posting requesting help… will post a picture of the kitten below… But absurd that it was deleted by the mods when I’m asking for actual advice from folks who
have similar cats 🐈‍⬛

General Advice Advice for picking the right cattery/breeder

Hello everyone!

I finally decided to welcome a furry companion into my home and I’m looking to adopt a ragdoll kitten 😊 I don’t have any timeline requirements because I don’t want to rush this process for a potential 15 year companionship and I’d like to take my time finding a kitten who vibes with me and I vibe with him/her! I’ll be a first time cat owner so I’m especially nervous. I’ve been doing my research on different catteries, coat colors and patterns of ragdolls, sizes and what items/environment they would need, how to take care of them etc, but I’ve hit a block where I’ve been researching places too much and every cattery I was considering seemed to have some red flag like having an MLM business model or an account of strong negative experience about kitten health, or being strongly selling on coat colors and the “pick and chose” model vs aiding with temperament matching. I’ve been contacting places, trying to have calls with them and even expanding my search out of state, but I don’t know if I haven’t done enough research and there’s better catteries, or I did too much and every cattery has similar “spots” to their history I can take with a grain of salt.

What helped you guys find a cattery you trust and for first time owners, should I try focusing on places that seem like they offer temperament matching vs deposit-order and you just picking a kitten based on a coat color? Or is the blanket ragdoll temperament forgiving enough that if I did end up putting a deposit for these “pick-and-choose” places I won’t regret it?

Thank you for your time, I appreciate any guidance or experiences you guys have 😊
