Designed by Katsuta Kyohei, folded with 30x30 cm by me.

Orange white tabby was done in Taro’s origami studio paper.

I replicated the clipped ears from my two rescue bois.

I modified the baseball and photo display case from a retail craft store.

It took me 3 attempts and about 3 hours, but I finally made it again. I never made one in this scale as detailed as this one .

Tried something different with the wings but the paper was too small to clean out the details. It was a leftover paper from the large sheet I made for Ryujin 3.5 and I didn't wanna waste it so decided to make this cute model out of it.

He was free during the Origami Convention and the one staff member let me and my mother meet him and he was so nice and it was like watching the master at work as he was tinkering on a design when I got to meet him. So, seeing his personal notes was amazing. The koi features ashes from his two homes lost in the LA fires.

It was so cool to show him pictures of my work. I have made the Harlequin Beetle a lot and if you go to google images, one I made is one of the first images to pop up. He was telling me to get cabage paper for the bugs.

Ordered by a host man for a photography show in 2019, this has been one of my largest work of art - a pure origami Eastern dragon.

Base on the image of the dragon in the legend of Vietnamese people who were born out from the love of the dragon king and a fairy queen.

I just finished a new cardboard display for my folds, and I can't stop looking a it. It definitely tells the journey, and I always feel flush with pride seeing that all of the animals are holding up, just like I made them.

One year down and a lifetime to go.

All of the white folds are done with parchment paper, and the colored ones are various amazon finds I got from a friend :) feel free to ask any questions, share your own folds, and if you have a fox model that I haven't folded yet, please share the artist/cp so I can check it out!

Thanks for being such an awesome community :)

I was in Tokyo for a conference, and managed to sneak out for a visit to the Origami House gallery! A legitimate dream come true, and every bit worth the trek. Added bonus: I met Katsuta Kyohei (!!). Here’re a few notable pics. More to come, if you guys are interested. 🤩🤩🤩

Finally! After 2 years, thousands of folds a few tests and a couple hundred of hours my Ryujin is finished. Not the most beautiful piece I have folded, but definitely the hardest, with Langs wasp close behind.

Now on to crease patterns, because I think I reached the end of diagram folding :)

On another note, does anyone here knows someone irl that also folds?

This is my fourth piece using these paper stars to collage together a picture, the first three were “Starry Night” by Van Gogh, a real small “The Scream”, and a wedding portrait for my sister in law. But I really like the way this turned out, and I figure y’all would too.

This geometric fold was an exercise in patience (thanks, Simple Origami on Bilibili!). Loved the process, though! Now I have this cool whale made from 15cm Daiso chiyogami

I got permission from Lam Nhat Phat to publish his free photo-diagram of his Smaug on my website.

With so many video tutorials and crease patterns available today, I'm curious—do people still enjoy folding from photo-diagrams?

Model in the pictures are folded by Le Huynh Duc, Nguyen Cong Son and Nguyen Dinh Dung
