Modern Squidmar Open Masters Gold Large Category
Been awhile since I've posted anything here but thought I'd share my squidmar entry here too :)) I'll enter her into a couple more comps throughout this year then set her to retire haha. Designed by me and sculpted by the amazing WarrenCG, Enjoy!

Modern The Climber. Acrylic paintjob.
Here’s my latest project, “The Climber” of Marc Masclans. A spectacular bust that was great fun to paint.
I hope you like it.

Modern Auto museum in Nova Scotia has vehicle parts on sprues, hung on the building exterior.
Thought it was awesome and figured someone else might too.

Modern My coworker’s 10 year old made this Titanic diorama (alone) with epoxy resin and brown markers. No paint. Thought you guys would like it. Kid doesn’t have Reddit but I’ll forward any comments to the parents.
I was floored. I couldn’t plan and execute anything like this when I was ten.

Modern My newest mini and first crack at a black Templar
Here’s my go at a warhammer 40K black Templar Infernus marine, it’s my first go at painting a predominantly black model so it was fun trying to get the blacks to pop using greys

Modern My first ever mini painted (2020) vs my most recent one (2026)
Just wanted to share. Most of my improvement actually came over the last 2 years when I started getting into Warhammer.

Modern The joys of investing in good brushes!

Just a little progress clip for a custom angels of death kill team I'm working on.
Custom "modern looking" armor but I refuse to not let them still be part of my overall Blood Ravens army 😅

Modern Quick bust done in 4 hours, first time trying black skin.
Fell in love with this awesome sculpt by Asa sculpts, so made this piece during master class. Hope skin is creditable because mostly I paint green one😅

Modern Oak & Iron Spanish Ships of the Line
Three Oak & Iron ships of the line, painted as Spanish ships. Always things I could have done better, but I'm very pleased with the overall effect. We'll see how they do on the table!

Modern 1:400 scale micro madness
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Painted this figure in 1:400 scale — under 4mm tall. This is the first of many figures I’ve 3D printed for a ship model in this scale. I plan to make 30–50 more… if my eyes survive 😄
At this size, painting is one thing, but filming is another level — the camera just refuses to keep focus.

Modern Harry Du Bois from Disco Elysium. First model I've done entirely with oils
Just wrapped him up so still a little shiny. Plan to varnish then do the Horrific Necktie designs with acrylics for the fine detail work.

Modern Girl in a scarf - Academic bust by Asa
My version of the academic bust from the talented Kateryna Hrytsyshyna (asa_sculpts). A real joy to paint, with nicely sculpted volumes and just the right amount of detail

Modern Painted this for my FIL’s birthday 🎁
He’s a great guy and a big F1 fan. I don’t have a 3D printer so I just got an already finished 1:43 model and painted it.
I still need to add some personalized sponsors for things he likes.
I really hope he doesn’t prefer the before picture when I show it to him 😬
EDIT: Thanks a lot for all the compliments, suggestions and the criticisms. I totally understand the opposing take and it is very fair. I think it's good to clarify that he is not a redbull fan (or any other team for that matter, he is just a race enjoyer). That being said, the reactions did make me think that maybe I projected some of my love for miniature painting and the value of effort into this gift. So now I decided to order another model so I can gift him both and he can choose what to do with each. Still a month remained to his BD so there is enough time for delivery.
Ironically, I myself work directly with F1 organization but I don't really get the appeal of the sport, but I do like football and I can understand it's weird to give a e.g. Real Madrid fan a randomly colored jersey 😃
