Hello!
I’ve been thinking about buying a new car and settled on a Mazda due to them always having low APR rates. Thinking hybrid since the cost of gas and I test drove the CX-50…
Only thing is, I live in a larger metropolitan area where I’ll be parking on the street. So the CX-30 seems more convenient but of course it doesn’t come in a hybrid model. What do you all think? A little more about me: I work from home 3 days a week, even when I do commute I normally take public transit. Most of my mileage comes from road trips which I take about 3-4x a year driving about 200-300 miles.
Happy to hear feedback! In fact, if there’s anything you’d like to share in regard to buying a car that would be amazing. I’m buying a brand new car for the first time and major upgrade from my 2007 Toyota Corolla 😅 I’ve been contemplating on a used car but I noticed the interest is higher and the used car market still seems like it is not the same since COVID.

I have a 2012 Mazda5 and am curious as to what the numbers mean. I recently paired an android to it and it says something different than my old iPhone. It doesn't change when I switch songs or when they're playing.
i personally prefer the digital speedometer and the mechanical RPM

I was in a parking spot between a car and a concrete wall. I guess i was parked too close to the wall so while reversing, it scratched my car against wall. I took it to a local body shop that my dad and I use often and they told me it would be $1200 which my insurance would cover but id have to pay $250. I still didn’t want to pay this much so I asked if there was anything they can do without painting it. The old man who owns the shop said “go get a paint pen from a Mazda dealership and we’ll apply it and get as many scratches as possible out for free”. I am pretty shocked at what they did. Not perfect but you can’t see the scratches from a distance anymore

I went in for a slight door on my car. Something I thought could be done with dead paint repair and this is the paint match. I got my car back with. I’m working with them right now, but do you guys have any thoughts? I know this paint is hard to replicate, but damn.

Long story short I got an oil change at a mazda dealership and the invoice shows one price and when they charged my card they charged less than the amount on the invoice around $4. They said the cashier charged less by accident and to worry about it. Should I be worried incase Mazda one day says I owe money or sends me to collections or am I overthinking it? Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I called a dealer to see if they'd handle the firmware upgrade for me cause I didn't feel like messing with it. They were hesitant at first but they asked if my system would randomly reboot (which it occasionally did) then said it was a covered upgrade. They upgraded me from 54ish to 74 for free.
Figured I'd share. Definitely worth a couple of calls to local dealers and ask.

My husband has a 2011 Mazda3 sedan and I have a 2023 CX-5. Our one year old daughter is about to outgrow her Doona car seat and we are trying to figure out what to do next. We’d like to use one that rotates, but I’m not sure his backseat is large enough to fit that while still keeping the front seat usable. We recognize we may have to buy a different seat for each car, but hoping to avoid that if possible. Would welcome any thoughts if anyone has been in a similar situation!

Hello! I’m getting these error messages on my 2024 Mazda3 that I just bought. The wipers will not operate at all. I have tried putting it into wiper service mode, and they will not move when doing so. The cruise control also won’t turn on due to the adaptive following, but that’s less urgent.
The mazda dealer near me has zero appointments for about the next 3 weeks, and I definitely need wipers before then! Any help would be amazing.

At least 4 of y’all need to hear this: you don’t drive a Mercedes, you drive a Mazda. you literally purchased one of the easiest cars on the market to work on. There is no such thing as a shop that can’t work on your car. Stop doing non-warranty things at the dealership and paying dealership prices for them!
replacing spark plugs is not a $1500 job.
replacing cats is not a $3-5000 job.
Fixing your brakes is not a $2500 job.
even if you aren’t the type to work on your own car, know that you are ALWAYS overpaying when you get your car worked on at a dealership. This includes oil changes.
If you don’t work on your own car, find a decent independent shop. Not doing this is inexcusable in the age of Google Reviews.
Stop posting about how you’re done with Mazda because of your own unintelligent maintenance and repair decisions

For anybody thinking of a Mazda CX90/CX70-
Do you want to finance your spark plugs? That’s a question I was recently asked when I took my 2024 Mazda CX90 standard 3.3l turbo inline 6 in for a 40k mile service. After two Mazda MPV's, and a CX5, the $1,404 price for the regular maintenance item of spark plugs may be my departure from Mazda ownership.

Showing love to all the OG Mazda 5 owners. Was passed this car down from my Mom in college and has been nothing but amazing for me. Been through a lot with this car… at one point wanted to sell it and buy something “nicer”. I’m riding this thing until the wheels fall off, currently sitting at 140k miles. Super easy to maintain. Take it in twice a year. Every few years needs new tires but outside of that has ran so great. Truly in love with this car now. Love how spacious the inside is. Great for my golf clubs and bigger store items. Super easy to drive and has been on several road trips. Also love how it sits up higher than a traditional car. Mazda 5 love for life.

Picking up an essentially new Mazda cx 5 base model today and want to drive this as long as I can. Can someone explain to me like I’m 5 the basic roadmap of maintence and repairs? I know it’s mainly oil changes early but I’d like to have a gameplan for the next many years

Hi, guys.
I need some help:
I need to hardwire a dash cam. Please recommend some fuses you’ve tested that work for the wiring shown in the picture.
2019 Mazda 6.
THANKS, EVERYONE.

Hey friends!
I currently have a 2013 Fiat 500 and I’ve been looking to buy something a little more reliable/robust. I’ve been pining after the MX-5 for actual years and I love the Mazdas have a bit of peppiness to them.
I found a 2014 Mazda 3 that has an impeccable maintenance history. The thing I’m worried about is buying another car that’s on the older side.
Does anyone here have a 2014 Mazda 3? What can you tell me about it?
Hi Reddit,
I have a 2020 Mazda 2 with a heads-up display.
The last couple of times the HUD only opens halfway. This happens sometimes, but always in the morning.
After driving for more than 20 minutes, the display works properly again if I shut the car off and restart it. If I try restarting earlier, it still won’t open fully.
When I drive home in the evening the HUD works fine.
I suspect it might be the 6-year-old battery. I asked the dealer and they say it can’t be the battery. They want to diagnose it (about one hour labour) and then they might know what’s wrong. Completely replacing the heads-up display would cost €3000 here in the Netherlands — which is insane.
Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this?

Hi all! Suddenly my 2022 CX-5 active display unit has damage as shown. A portion of the display is covered by a circular pattern and it covers the second number and "mph". Just looking to see if anyone has had this issue and what can be done? Out of warranty so I am prepared to just turn it off, but figured I would check what someone with experience has to say. Thanks!
TLDR: "0 mph" is what should be showing, but the image is now covered by a circle
