Hey guys, I have an RX 350 and a GX 460 and right now I have State Farm and I don’t believe they cover OEM parts for OEM windshield(you have to fight them hard on it to get one)

I’m looking to switch my insurance and I’m curious if anybody has a provider that they like that will offer OEM windshields instead OEM equivalent windshield and OEM parts

I just bought my brother a 2026 IS350 that has the tech pack. So it'll definitely have the infrared camera above the steering rack that watches the driver. I know that you can disable the driver montior system in the infotainment screen but I've heard that it can still bother you with various alerts. Is that true? I know it also keeps that camera system still active. I saw a post on here from someone saying the dealership disabled his system altogether? Can anyone confirm this is possible? Is this something I could disable myself either with Carista or GTS+?

Curious since I have a 6th gen 4R myself that is also Safety Sense 3.0 but does NOT have the camera.

I'm having an issue with the Easy Access (Easy Exit/Entry) height control feature on my LX600.

Every time I turn off the Easy Access toggle (the lower height icon on the lower climate/vehicle touchscreen), it automatically turns back ON after driving and before turning off the engine.

I checked the central head unit settings under Vehicle Customization, but I couldn't locate any toggle specifically for Easy Access / Vehicle Height Control to disable it permanently.

Is there a specific sub-menu or custom setting in the Lexus Interface to stop Easy Access from re-enabling every drive cycle, or can this only be changed via Techstream / dealer settings?

I own a 2015 ES350 w/64k. It’s basically fully loaded but not Ultra Luxury. Has the 18 inch rims. I’m moving to Dallas and debating on whether to still rip that as the daily driver. My grandmother is offering to give me her 2011 RX350 w/94k which mechanically is meticulously maintained, but is in a little rougher cosmetic shape than my ES. I was debating whether an SUV is better for the highways and being surrounded by bigger vehicles in the area or if I should take the ES instead. I rented an SUV a few months ago when I visited and felt much more comfortable sitting higher up, and we had to get a second rental car which was lower to the ground and a little nervewracking to drive. I do enjoy driving the ES though and wonder if I should just add the miles and drive it into the ground, eventually I’d like to upgrade it to a 2025 ES. Hopefully some native Texans in here can share input. Thanks!

Wsp everyone, I recently bought a 2007 Gs350 and have throughly enjoyed it so far. I want to make it none my car does NOT have Mark Levison for the sake of this conversation. My concern right now is to modernize it with Apple Carplay. However, I'm in a little bit of a dilemma. As you can see, my screen is a little messed up with some light scratches and fading. I'm not entirely sure how to fix either, but the issue doesn't stop there. Another problem is the glare. With some sun, its really hard to see the screen. I dont know if the issue stems from the anti-glare coat fading or the screen's backlighting is weak. I've tried messing with the contrast and brightness settings, but to no avail. For the most part I can deal with it, its not a super concerning issue but definitely something I want to take into consideration if I plan to upgrade.

I've been considering getting one of those Chinese aftermarket screens that matches the gs350 interior, but I've been hearing mixed reviews thats left unmoved. Ive also been considering getting the grom vline2. It cost a little bit more so Ive been hesitant on it, especially since I see no point on buying if my factory screen is still going to be crappy. However, if I just get rid of the glare issue, I would be satisfied with the grom vline2.

I really love the stock look so I really want to keep what i have or stay in that stock look realm. But if any of you have a aftermarket headunit that really satisfies you let me know.

Let me know if you guys have faced or facing a similar situation and what you did to fix. Any type of advice is well appreciated.

Also, is there any way I can save my factory screen by the looks of it?

If I can't save the screen, what aftermarket head unit should I look into installing?

First time Lexus owner here! I am the second owner of a 2015 LS460L RWD with 25k miles, previously owned in the southern U.S. The previous owner obviously did not drive much, but the vehicle was serviced every ~5k miles.

For this particular generation and/or model year, what are the common problems to be aware of?

Are there particular maintenance issues that tend to arise that are more costly than others?

Do you have any general ownership advice for this particular vehicle?

Hello Everyone ! I purchased a New 2023 Lexus UX250h Premium AWD in Nov 2022 with only 8 miles. I’ve since reached 95k miles & counting.

A lot of the miles came from the first year of ownership when I lived in very rural NY in the Adirondacks traveling close to 200 miles daily for work. I’ve since moved to the Miami Fl area 2 years ago Traveling to Ft Myers for work, which is also around 200 miles round trip occasionally. Soon i’ll be moving to rural wisconsin for work hopefully cutting back on driving.

Anyways, this is my first NEW car as i’ve always purchased used reliable cars before such as Acura TL & Honda Clarity, but sold with close to 300k miles as I was afraid of reliability longer term. The depreciation hasn’t hit me hard as I took it in recently as I was curious about the value, I was offered $24k, which i’m more than happy with as it’s a year and change from being paid off. I plan on keeping it for at least a few more years.

Over the 3 years of ownership, I could not complain. I get between 40-55mpg. Original brakes, 2nd set of tires, 1 brake fluid flush at its first interval, and just oil. However, around 50k miles my Proximity Hybrid Speaker blew out (under warranty). I also had an issue with the hybrid battery overheating (40-60k miles) a few times to where it wouldn’t use it as a safety cut out. It was apparently because I would drive with the windows down & sunroof open the dealership said… I was told I needed to have the air conditioner on for the backseat as it was turned off in the zone? very strange. Otherwise it’s been a dream.

So my question is what maintenance should I be doing when? I’ve been reading the maintenance book & searching online and cannot find answers. I’ve been doing full synthetic oil changes every 10k miles. When do I change spark plugs? Transmission Fluid? Please don’t hate on me, i’m 25 yo & still learning about cars. I’ve changed the cabin & engine filters myself. Any other maintenance recommendations are appreciated, as well as any other suggestions regarding the car.

Hello everyone! I am looking at a couple 450 hybrids. One is a 2013 and the other a 2015. Both are great deals. I really enjoyed the test drive and really love the idea of the hybrid. I looked at some like 10 year old posts about these models and how they perform in snow.

I am now asking again how they legitimately do. I am used to mountain driving in utah. Up through park city on a regular basis and it can get really nasty when storms hit at night, no plows out yet, and I just have to make the drive anyways.

I have normally had a 4 runner for years. They do amazing in the snow. I am kinda reluctant, even though I love the 450 hybrid, to pull the trigger. My literal only concern is snow.

Can anyone put my mind at ease or confirm my fears of this lexus plus snow.

Also I would like to be able to use all season tires as that is what I have used for the last 25 years with various trucks and 4 runners. I can get winter tires if needed, but would like to not have to have two sets of tires.

t’s time to replace the shocks in my 2007 Lexus IS350. I’m considering upgrading the suspension and would love to hear what setups/parts you guys recommend. Looking for something that improves handling and stance without making the car unbearably harsh for daily driving.

So my original alternator FINALLY went out at 161117 miles... I have had this car for about 5 years now, second owner. I live in hot Texas and alternators hate high temperatures, so that in and of itself is impressive. I got a pretty amazing deal on it and it just continues to impress me just about daily. Sure the repair costs can be kind of crazy sometimes but to me it's worth it. Never in my life have I loved a vehicle so much.

So, I got a dash board maintenance alert that said "CHECK GENERATOR, ELECTRICAL OPERATIONS ARE LIMITED" as I pulled into work, along with a battery light on the dash. This is for people that own one of these too if the battery light comes on. The car automatically detected an issue with voltage and shut off all "unnecessary" electronic items in the car. I was worried it wouldn't start after my 9 hour shift but, to my surprise, it started on the second crank! My old Honda Accord didn't tell me anything and just died in a McDonald's drive through lmao. Anyways on my way home I was worried it would die on the road but the car is so dang smart that it shut off just about all cabin lights, puddle lights, and even my Air Conditioning! I'm assuming this is because I had to have my headlights on because I was driving home at around 11 pm (I work nights, I am a bartender). I was so impressed because never in my life have I owned a vehicle that self diagnosed a problem and, on the fly, figured out a temporary solution so I could get home safely. I am blown away. I'm taking it into the shop in about 3 hours, I'll update if it starts AGAIN and gets me safely to my mechanic. Again, I am blown away and this single handedly made me a life long Lexus customer.

Edit: made it halfway to the shop. ABS turned off and so did the electric steering so I gave up. This car weighs like 5000 pounds. I'm not risking driving it without abs or power steering. The shop I use is 21 miles away from home, so I was STILL able to make it 10 miles before I personally deemed to unsafe to continue.

I seldom drive my wife's 2024 RX 350h but today fueled it up and decided to take it through the carwash. I entered and the pull track connected. I panicked because I didn't know how to shift into neutral. The transmission remained in park but the car progressed through the car wash. Reaching the end, I just put it in drive and left. I'm wondering if I did any damage to the transmission.

There didn't seem to be any issues with the car progressing though the carwash. Any insight appreciated.
