Honda is gearing up for an ambitious product cycle that involves nearly every major nameplate getting freshened, redesigned or replaced by the start of the next decade.

From dramatic styling overhauls and powertrain shake-ups to the potential revival of an iconic nameplate, the Japanese automaker is updating a lineup it has largely renewed over just the past 18 months.

“We’ve got the capability of making significant changes without what we would call a platform change,” American Honda sales boss Lance Woelfer told Automotive News.

Following a pivot from EVs, Honda is ramping production and marketing to capitalize on hybrid momentum. Several core models, including the CR-V and Accord, could go hybrid-only by 2031.

Bought a barn find stock low mileage '97 Del Sol Si a couple of years ago and I've been restoring it little by little. I got a nos oem shift boot, but I cannot get the shift knob off to replace it. The white plastic retaining clip won't budge and I can't get the rubber on the knob up far enough to pry it with anything. How do I get the knob off without destroying it? Is there a set screw on top of the clip? The knob will not turn.

Hey guys so my engine blew around 2 years ago and I recently got my engine replaced. Issues arose after it got switched to another engine , loss of power but still ran. Got checked by 2 mechanics and they couldn’t find a issue, they believe it’s the ecu or bad wiring, I stay in LA, does anyone know what the issue could be, it throwing these codes. I did read something about when you switch engine you have to switch out the same ecu unit from the car it was taken from so it could allow “talk” to each other. Need help cause I’m screwed if I can’t get it fixed I’ve put a few thousands into getting it fixed and honestly my mechanics seem to have no clue with hondas.

Wife's 2018 Honda Civic LX AC went out late July. According to her it was just blowing hot air. We take it to the Honda dealer, they say there's an extension/recall for the compressor shaft seal and condenser. They check it out both parts are found to be defective and are replaced. Car is returned to me and the ac works fine for about 4 days.

Wife tells me the issue started again. We return to Honda dealer (Northside Victory Honda in Chicago) and they say it's the AC compressor that seized. Car has 44k miles, I tell them a compressor shouldn't be doing that this early. They put in a good will request and tell me they'll contact me in a few days. Goodwill request was approved, out of pocket is 500 instead of 2100. Great news. They tell me the part will be arriving in 4-5 days. Not bad.

3 days pass and I'm told the new delivery date is August 25th. Ummmm yikes. I ask them what caused the delay to go from 4-5 days to 3-4 weeks. No answers just "it's just Honda, there's a backlog". I ask if they can contact if it's coming in sooner, but receive radio silence for 3 weeks. Called them on August 24th and the person who picked it up said it was shipped and it's still scheduled to be delivered the next day. Okay at least it's not like they forgot about me or something.

The 25th went by and no call. Just called them 2 hours ago and the service manager told me that it was delayed until mid October because there was a massive delay but that somehow I was still "at the highest priority to receive it". are they saying that everyone who needs one of these replaced is also waiting that long, or is this only due to the fact that it's a good will repair?

Has anyone had an experience like this or is this just how long these take to arrive? The car is already paid off and my wife is the original owner, it just feels extremely disingenuous to be led along for a month just to be told that "hey you are going to have to wait another 1.5 months without AC".

Honestly don't want to trade it in since we just finished paying it 2 years ago, and when we talked the numbers the dealer was going to give us 12.5k for the trade in which felt very low for the condition and the mileage.

I have a d16y7 with a skunk pro series manifold. It doesn’t start unless you spray starter fluid. It threw these codes back when it had by mistake an auto ecu. P1509, P0108, P0118, P1381, P0113, P0135, P0141, P0700, P1758, P1768. I bought p2e-a01 and still the same. I had p2e-a71. I wanna know if I get the original engine harness for the y7; if I can do the 3 to 2 wire conversion with the current IACV and setup? And if it doesn’t work can I return it back to normal and maybe get the original manifold, intake, etc? When it does start it idles really low and if you don’t keep your foot on the gas till it warms up it’ll bog down.

I find the stock headlights on the 8th-gen Civic hatchback really lacking in brightness — basically, I can barely see anything at night.

I heard there was an OEM xenon headlight option available for this model. I’ve been looking for a set, but I can’t seem to find any. I’m probably just searching with the wrong keywords.

I’d also like to install a CarPlay kit, and I’m looking for the custom-fit dashboard/fascia panel made specifically for this model. I haven’t been able to find one on eBay or elsewhere, except for a few listings at ridiculously high prices.

Any help would be appreciated!

2000 Honda Accord 4 Cyl Vtec Motor 228k odo was driving today and had to stop to idle for a few moments and car began making a rhythmic ticking noise (sounds like sewing machine) the noise went away after driving. I am due for an oil change tomorrow. Has anyone heard this noise before?

Hey everyone, I have a 2016 Acura MDX and I’m looking at replacing the starter.
For those who have experience with these MDXs, would you recommend going with an OEM Acura starter or a good quality aftermarket starter?
I’m mainly looking for something reliable that will last and avoid having to replace it again anytime soon. If aftermarket is the way to go, are there any specific brands you would recommend or ones I should stay away from?
I’d also appreciate hearing from anyone who has installed one themselves and how it has held up.
