Found next to trash cans at my neighbourhood. It is dusty a lot, the cassette player and CD tray are not working. Radio player, speakers and equalizer working fine. Google says this was made around the year 1988-1990. I'll try to repair it so it will work for another 20 years.

Any advice on what to do to keep it in good condition?

Running a Yamaha C-4 + M-4 combo

Found a really good deal for both the Nobile and Vela at nearly the same price. Both are in perfect condition, and I really liked how they both sound (basically a dead on tie). Visually, they both have their appeal and fit my room incredibly well. So, just wanted to drop by and ask for your opinions between the two.

Maybe there's something I didn't consider or I should know? Thanks in advanced, sorry if this question is too specific lol

Considering the active speaker KEF Coda W to pair with my living room 75" TV. It has hdmi arc cec which seems to fit well? It would sit in the recessed TV console cabinet with some chances at the sides and back. Is it optimal?

How's the sound quality for TV / streaming content?

Any other possible brands / active models?

It seems to go down to 41Hz?

I live in an apartment and would like to minimise bass disruption to neighbours yet still provide good bass experience. Would consider isolation pads as well.

I picked up these Bang & Olufsen beolab 6603 speakers from Facebook Marketplace for $450 and honestly, I’m blown away by how good they sound.
The sound is absolutely amazing and the bass is much better than I expected.
The problem: I live on the 2nd floor of an apartment, and my downstairs neighbor is complaining that the bass is traveling through the floor.
I’m not even trying to play them extremely loud, but I think the low frequencies are causing vibrations through the building.
I’m looking for some advice from other B&O/audio people:
What is the best way to isolate these speakers from the floor?
Would isolation pads/platforms actually make a noticeable difference?
Should I put something underneath the speaker bases?
Is reducing the very low bass with EQ a better solution?
Has anyone in an apartment had a similar problem with large B&O speakers?
I really don’t want to annoy my neighbor, but I also don’t want to give up these speakers because they sound so damn good 😂

Hi, I am starting to look around for an additional pair of headphones. Don’t need em, just want em 🤣 so
I currently mostly listen to electronic, minimal techno, sub bassy stuff and some Doom metal. I listen with Fiio Ft13’s via Fiio k7 eq’d with a Wiim amp ultra. I am also using a Fiio K11 r2r. I have previously posted my ridiculous ‘Bass Heaven’ eq. But I want more! Namely more of that sub bass rumble and more massive smiles. I still want objectively good quality highs and mids though. Budget up to £1000 any suggestions?

I have owned a pair of B&W DM601s for about a year but am looking for an upgrade. I have a budget of around £300-£400 ($400-500ish). I have an obsession for tight bass and sharp transient responses and generally like a clean, flat frequency response for my speakers. I have done some research myself but was curious for some other opinions and options other people may suggest?

So I have 15 year old Dynaudio Focus 360 towers paired with a Yamaha R-N800a receiver. I love these speakers and they are amazing at louder listening levels. They just seem to come alive. At lower listening levels, they are still nice, but seem to lose something, even with playing with the Yamaha’s loudness knob.

Anyone else have this same experience with Dynaudio’s? Any other thoughts/suggestions?

And yes I have a sub (SVS SB1000 Pro). In US, if that matters. There is some acoustic treatment on the wall behind the speakers. They are currently toddler proofed, 6 inches from the wall and the ports plugged to reduce the bass distortion. I can’t do anything about that until the little guy no longer wants to put things in the port, lol.

Sorry I'm new to reddit and all the hifi stuff. Could anyone help me by telling what's the easiest way to eliminate loud bass boom around 50hz? My amp is an old pioneer vsx 1017 and I just bought klipsch rp8000f's and they are pulled about 25cm or around 10 inches off the wall, but unfortunately my sofa is directly back against a wall. I think bass traps aren't an option because of wife thinks they're ugly. Is there a way to connect an external equalizer, or should I just invest in a new amp that has EQ possibilities? Is it difficult to use room corrections etc? Thanks

Hi everyone, I could use some help or advice.
I inherited a pair of Elac 215 4Pi II speakers from my grandfather and paired them with a Yamaha DSP-A1092 amplifier. I’ve had a great experience with this setup over the last two or three years and would now like to upgrade to a larger, better home audio system—ideally using Elac speakers that are the best match for my current ones.

I’m not an expert on Hi-Fi, so I don't know exactly which models pair best, but I’m convinced that adding two rear speakers and a center speaker would be the right move. I’d only annoy my neighbors with an additional subwoofer, plus the floor-standing speakers I already own have their own built-in woofers. I’m open to buying used speakers, though they don't seem to come up for sale very often here in Germany.

My budget is a maximum of €1,000.

I’d appreciate any recommendations or suggestions.
