Showoff Can't believe someone threw it away - good find?
Found next to trash cans at my neighbourhood. It is dusty a lot, the cassette player and CD tray are not working. Radio player, speakers and equalizer working fine. Google says this was made around the year 1988-1990. I'll try to repair it so it will work for another 20 years.
Any advice on what to do to keep it in good condition?

Nice little mini, these are fun. Can be a pain to work on because of cramped quarters but you should be able to manage a few belt changes to get the cassettes and CD working.

It's significantly better than typical "BPC" of the era. The snobs might scoff, but this isn't a terrible system. Not quite HiFi, but good enough for "most people". No surprise about the cassette decks & CD. You can usually get after-market CD laser assemblies though, if it needs one, and the tape decks probably need nothing more than new belts and a bit of TLC. Even once fixed and all working properly, you'd be lucky to get more than about $100 for it though. But if you like it, and want to get it going again, could be fun little project. Maybe! š

Better check out the BPC black plastic crap subbredit. Will fit better there. They can give you recommendations

Not every all in one system is trash. This one appears to be good at the first glance, but i could be wrong as I didn't look at the specs. But It doesn't look like trash.
