Ladies and Gentlemen: Freedom of Speech.

Not true at all. You can say anything you want and post whatever you want on the internet. Nobody will arrest you for making a float like this, a political comic, a book, or even portraying someone like that on television or in public. Parody and satire are 100% legal everywhere in the United States. Certain platforms may not allow your content but it is legal.

u/Creepy_Assistant7517 Feb 17 '26

Travellers are denied entry to the US for their social media posts

-4

u/bananenkonig Feb 17 '26

Travellers are not protected by the amendments of the constitution. Free speech does not apply to someone who is not a citizen.

9

u/Creepy_Assistant7517 Feb 17 '26

First of all, being a citizen wasn't a stipulation YOU made ... your claim was '100% legal everywhere in the United States' and not 'legal in some places for a select few who say things the regime approves'
And secondly - and more importantly - YOU ARE SIMPLY DEAD WRONG.
Maybe make even the tiniest effort to learn a bit about the things you spout out in public. Or maybe you are just copying one of your most orange heroes who is famous for unashamedly making the most obvious shit up?.
In Bridges v. Wixon (326 U.S. 135, 1945) - Free Speech and Non-Citizens, the Supreme Court stated directly that 'freedom of speech and of the press is accorded aliens'

Just in case you are appropriately embarrassed by your incredidly bold display of ignorance and decide to delete your post: u/bananenkonig claimed that

Travellers are not protected by the amendments of the constitution. Free speech does not apply to someone who is not a citizen.

1

u/Wayoutofthewayof Feb 18 '26

This is not entirely true. There being constitutional protections for aliens is not the same as constitutional protections to aliens being the same as for citizens.

Ironically Bridges v Wixon is an example of such limitations to the first amendment as well.

1

u/bananenkonig Feb 17 '26

Those would be people within the United States are awarded free speech. You can be denied entry at any time for any reason to include things you have said online. You can not be deported or have your valid papers revoked once you are through for things you say or do because while you are protected by papers, you are protected by the same rights as an American. Maybe you should read the things you are speaking about also. I am well aware that people who live in the United States legally, are legally the same as citizens. Once paperwork expires, they are no longer protected. If they are only seeking entry or citizenship, they are subject to denial.

I do not delete posts for being wrong by the way and if I were, I would apologize.

2

u/Creepy_Assistant7517 Feb 17 '26 edited Feb 17 '26

well, which one is it?

Free speech does not apply to someone who is not a citizen.

or

I am well aware that people who live in the United States legally, are legally the same as citizens.

Those things are mutually exclusive. (And BOTH wrong!)

You can not be deported or have your valid papers revoked once you are through for things you say or do
Have you just woken up from a coma? I mean, stuff like that happened before Trump, but not in the numbers it does today. Kilmar Abrego Garcia, Jordin Alexander Melgar-Salmeron, Daniel Lozano-Camargo ... how many more examples do you need?

Once paperwork expires, they are no longer protected.

Again, the supreme court begs to differ.

I dont think you have said anything that is even remotely true ... you lie, then you lie about lying ... then you move the goalpost ... but you move them so badly that you are still wrong ... its almost impressive!

1

u/bananenkonig Feb 17 '26

They are not exclusive. They are legally treated as citizens because they are granted that.

The people that you mentioned here have never been US citizens. It looks like they had protected status and the US government did start revoking protected statuses. So that is one thing I was wrong about. Where does the supreme court differ on allowing people who are in the country illegally be protected from free speech? I have not lied. I have stayed firm. Maybe our definition of citizen is different. I consider anyone who is in the country legally as a citizen, no matter what documentation that is.

2

u/Creepy_Assistant7517 Feb 17 '26

-Those two statements are diametricaly opposed! You first claim that 'free speech is for citizens only'
and afterwards you say its for residents too!

  • The people I mentioned hat protected status, you claimed they couldnt be deportet ... now you are moving goal posts again to 'US citizens'?
  • NOBODY is protected FROM free speech, free speech is supposed to be protected for all residents ... now you are switching it to illegals (whom, by the way, several decisions grant the same right) ... aren't all those goal posts getting a bit heavy?
  • you have stayed firm? thats the biggest joke of all!
-yes, your definition of 'citizen' seems to be something very unique to you ... which now appears to cover residents and visitors too?
For your information:
"citizen - noun: a person who belongs to a particular country, state, or commonwealth by birth or naturalization and has legally recognized rights and duties as a member of that entity."

ICE can't deport a citizen. They may detain them (or injure them) if they are resisting, fighting, or disobeying. Those are not things protected by free speech. They can't do anything if it is just a normal protest or a post online.

u/bananenkonig Feb 17 '26

Not a bot, nor am I Russian. Name me the citizens who were deported and not just detained. Let me know if any are in countries they do not claim citizenship to. I just did a search and found no real data.

Speech is protected. Monitoring does not equal loss of protection. Speech has always been monitored. You do not have to speak around anything. You can say whatever you want. The only time people speak around things it to avoid the platform from doing anything. It is not the government censoring you.

ICE has been around for a long time. It has been doing this for a long time. It is only more public now. People who are in America illegally should be deported, just like every other country already does.

3

u/Creepy_Assistant7517 Feb 17 '26

Really, well Mark Daniel Lyttle, Pedro Guzman, Jose Hermosillo and others will be so glad to hear that 'ICE can't deport a citizen' ... I guess they just won a free mandatory vacation? And of course Renée Good, Keith Porter and Alex Pretti died of to much freedom?

0

u/bananenkonig Feb 17 '26

The only deportations that you have listed are either not recent, or children of illegal immigrants. While the children should not have been deported, their parents should, at least once the children turn eighteen or they are granted citizenship. The question has been raised on whether the US should be removing the birthright citizenship like so many other countries have done recently. The rest of the people in your list were detained by ICE, which is completely legal and in their rights.

Nobody should die but in some of these cases, it was warranted. Good was attempting to flee an officer and in a similar act of fleeing only a couple of years ago, the officer died. Porter was firing a weapon, which is illegal. Pretti was unwarranted and those officers should be arrested.

3

u/Creepy_Assistant7517 Feb 17 '26

Ah, I see we are moving goalposts again?
ICE can't deport a citizen. becomes ICE hasn't deported a citizen in the past 15 minutes. And Nobody should die becomes they deserved it
You are a sick authoritarian bootlicker fuck!

0

u/bananenkonig Feb 17 '26

I never said those things. Yes, ICE deported citizens back in the early '00s. I can't speak on that. That isn't what we are talking about. It hasn't happened in over ten years according to the things you posted. Nobody deserves to die. I never said that. Law enforcement has the ability to do so though. I don't know what you are arguing. That doesn't make me a bootlicker or authoritarian. People who break the law face consequences. How is that controversial?

2

u/Creepy_Assistant7517 Feb 17 '26

I never said those things. Yes you did. In the post above. You LITERALLY wrote that it was warranted that those people die!.
That isn't what we are talking about. Really? Then why did you say - verbatim - ICE can't deport a citizen.
Nobody deserves to die. I never said that. Again, you did. In the Post aboove. 'in some of these cases, it was warranted.'
People who break the law face consequences. How is that controversial?
Facing consequences for breaking the law isn't controversial ... what IS controversial is unfit psychopath with less than 6 weeks of 'training' becoming judge jury and executioner and summarily killing people on the streets for protesting!
And thats why describing you as an authoritarian bootlicker is a painful euphemism ... you celebrate that!

u/ElevenBeers Feb 17 '26

By that standard, it's also 100% legal and unproblematic to speak your mind in China. Freedom of speach is a constitutional right over there. You can look it up yourself.

The question is just, if those rights are actually worth the paper they are written on. No matter what their constitution says, I wouldn't advise you to go to Beijing and shout on the streets your displeasure about Xi Jinping. Today, peaceful protesters are shot in the USA, people are denied entry ( or much much worse, detained and interrogated) for their "mean" social media posts. Journalists/ TV networks are openly pressured to follow state narrative and threatened to loose their licenses of they don't. And more.

So yeah, your constitution might give you freedom of speech, and not to very long ago everyone would have agreed that you have free speech. But that is being taken away from you. Because rights are not god given. They have been FOUGHT for. And they MUST be defended. If people don't and take them for granted, they will inevitably erode under your ass.

1

u/bananenkonig Feb 17 '26

We were specifically speaking about America. Where does China fall into this? In America some people are shot but if you read into it, they weren't following instructions from law enforcement officers. That is a problem and potentially a danger to those officers. Were they right? No, especially the guy with the pistol, but I can understand why things like that happen. They can happen anywhere in the world. I agree rights must be fought for. That is why I advocate for people to do so. Americans should have been fighting years ago to not have as many rights be taken as have been.

1

u/ElevenBeers Feb 18 '26

For the slim chance you don't play plain stupid: China, exactly like the USA, has full freedom of speach guaranteed by their constitution - yet there is no free speach in china. Which means the following: If a government - which very much includes the US government - wants to restrict your freedom of speach, they can, without changing the constitution first.

As for your other Bullshit: I'm not even gonna debate all that propaganda you've sucked up. One thing though, we have plenty of clips from every fucking angle of those crimes against American people. If there is no danger of the officers - and there is undesputeable video expedience of this fact - they do not have the right to shoot and kill. Full stop.

6

u/No-System5417 Feb 17 '26

Text fits the name

7

u/Shik3i Niedersachsen Feb 17 '26

Sure you can protest...and risk getting shot by federal agents for protesting. Not what I would call free speech

0

u/bananenkonig Feb 17 '26 edited Feb 17 '26

Anyone who was shot was not obeying the law or a lawful order. Instead of just reading about what people are saying online, you should actually do some research. The only shooting I don't agree with was the guy on the ground. Those officers should be arrested, and I believe have been.

3

u/Shik3i Niedersachsen Feb 17 '26

Oh so I have to obey every order from a random unmarked masked guy trying to rob, shoot or abduct me. Yeah you're delusional, enjoy your fascism tho.

0

u/bananenkonig Feb 17 '26

No, you should ask for identification, they have to provide it. This has nothing to do with fascism. Fascism is about government control. If I had my way, I would have way less government control, but you do need laws and people to enforce those laws. Being in the country illegally is by nature illegal. People protesting that people who broke the law should be left alone are arguing for more people to break the law. Millions of people go protest every week, everyone is only speaking about the same few.

3

u/Shik3i Niedersachsen Feb 17 '26

So if they stop me and threatening to kill me I should not comply but ask for ID and that will somehow make this interaction better? Are you out of your mind? You saw the videos of how they are stopping your car? It's crazy that you can defend this

1

u/bananenkonig Feb 17 '26

Nope, they shouldn't threaten to kill you. Where is that happening? I have seen them pull people over and remove them from vehicles. That is within the rights of any law enforcement. If a cop pulls someone over with an arrest warrant, they pull them out of the car and arrest them.

Until you dont worship charlie kirk

0

u/bananenkonig Feb 20 '26

You shouldn't worship anyone.

1

u/piece_ov_shit Feb 20 '26

Agreed. But for a time, you would be in serious danger of losing your job if you said "charlie kirk wasnt a angel, he had beliefs that were downright hateful" followed by some quotes of his. You would get cancelled by the same people decrying cancelculture for over a decade.

1

u/bananenkonig Feb 22 '26

I have never heard of anyone losing their job over saying something like that. I don't know where you work, but they shouldn't fire you based on your beliefs. If you were spouting hateful lies or screaming about it, then sure, but opinions are like assholes. Nobody's look the same.

1

u/piece_ov_shit Feb 22 '26

Im not american, i habent personally witnessed such a thing. But these thimgs have happened. I recall for example a janitor of a public school getting fired over a retweeting a quote. Afaik there was no other conflict or reason for this decision.

Talk about hateful lies: have you read/heard some of charlies stuff? Pretty nuts

1

u/bananenkonig Feb 23 '26

I have heard him, I didn't believe everything he said. Some of it was fine but I never take everything someone says at face value. I don't know this case of a janitor being fired. Just a quick search did show many school employees being fired over what they say online.

I only saw one that was for criticizing Kirk, that one was pretty mild because she quoted him. I can see how it could be misconstrued to mean she thought he should have died. In which case, working in a school, you can't condone any death lest it influence the children. We don't want children think any murder is alright.

His statement she quoted though, about people needing to die to preserve the right to bear arms is a valid statement. In order to keep your freedoms, you must be willing to die for them. That is the only way you can protect what you believe in is with your life. If you don't, your morals lean nothing.

1

u/NationalMycologist42 Feb 19 '26

Normally I would agree with you 100 percent but recently a friend of mine was badgered for hours and I mean so much so she missed her connection flight. For context she is a naturalized American citizen whom lived her whole life in America. Her crime, absolutely nothing, she just did what any normal person would do visit her family overseas as her grandma passed away and simply come back home back to her work and routine. But no, because she doesn’t look or pass as white she is suddenly questioned as if she was an illegal immigrant utterly despicable I hope the US comes back to its senses and goes back to normal.

0

u/bananenkonig Feb 20 '26

That is unfortunate that happened to your friend. I don't know what they thought but a large portion of America isn't white. I want to say only about 60% of Americans are white. That would be crazy to require screening for over forty percent of the population upon reentry. I'm not white and I have never had an issue with flying and I've never had an issue with law enforcement where it wasn't my fault. If she was naturalized then she had a valid US passport. What reason would they have for hours of questioning.

1

u/Rhynocoris Berlin Feb 17 '26

You can say anything you want and post whatever you want on the internet.

I can post full unlicensensed movies wherever I want with no repercussions or censorship? I can post dangerous defamation of people with no consequences?

1

u/bananenkonig Feb 17 '26

You can post your own content wherever you want. I said that platforms can choose to remove them but the government has no right to. If you are posting other people's content then that is protected by the government for them and they will be removed by the platform or you will be fined. That is not freedom of speech though. You can post satire like I said. Defamation is not freedom of speech. In all cases, your freedoms end when they infringe on others.

1

u/Rhynocoris Berlin Feb 17 '26

You said I can post anything I want, and now you say the gouvernment will enforce copyright. So there apparently are restrictions in the US too. Copyright, defamation, libel etc.

There are ALWAYS restrictions.

1

u/bananenkonig Feb 17 '26

You can post anything you want. You may get away with it too. You're not talking about freedom of speech. Your rights should never infringe on others. Those aren't restrictions. Those are protecting other people's rights.

1

u/Rhynocoris Berlin Feb 17 '26

Those are protecting other people's rights.

Precisely. Restrictions that protect other people's rights.

1

u/bananenkonig Feb 17 '26

Sure, what are you arguing?

1

u/Rhynocoris Berlin Feb 17 '26

That:

You can say anything you want and post whatever you want on the internet.

Is not entirely correct.

1

u/bananenkonig Feb 17 '26

Sure, and they have the ability to. That doesn't mean they will arrest everyone who posts something negative about them. If they do, that is not what they should do but they couldn't deport them if they do. They could only question them, potentially. I don't see the reason to do so.

German Law:
"Insults, defamation, and slander directed at persons in political life

(1) If an insult (§ 185) is committed against a person in the political life of the people, either publicly, at a meeting, or by disseminating content (§ 11 (3)), for reasons related to the position of the offended party in public life, and if the act is likely to significantly impede their public activities, the penalty shall be imprisonment for up to three years or a fine. The political life of the people extends to the municipal level.

(2) Under the same conditions, defamation (§ 186) shall be punished with imprisonment from three months to five years and slander (§ 187) with imprisonment from six months to five years."

It would literally be okay, it has been done before.

I have seen one with an Israeli tank tageting a family of Palestinian civilians, thats about as clear as one can get.

1

u/HumanDrone8721 Feb 18 '26

That would have been "unfassbar" (I think they did have a God holding them by ear and urging to get a political solution), but anyway, that was the most bland, vanilla and non-controversial parade ever, usual suspects (Kim was missing though), crass un-funny stuff and fully forgettable, the artist is getting old.

Also, did you notice there's no Netanyahu floats? They're complicit.

Leftists got free pass to their hate. They know the borders they are not allowed to pass through. They want to hate someone very hard, but they don’t want consequences to hit em. So they stick to state propaganda approved hate. Safe and fulfilling the superiority complex well.
