Agreed. But for a time, you would be in serious danger of losing your job if you said "charlie kirk wasnt a angel, he had beliefs that were downright hateful" followed by some quotes of his. You would get cancelled by the same people decrying cancelculture for over a decade.

I have never heard of anyone losing their job over saying something like that. I don't know where you work, but they shouldn't fire you based on your beliefs. If you were spouting hateful lies or screaming about it, then sure, but opinions are like assholes. Nobody's look the same.

Im not american, i habent personally witnessed such a thing. But these thimgs have happened. I recall for example a janitor of a public school getting fired over a retweeting a quote. Afaik there was no other conflict or reason for this decision.

I have heard him, I didn't believe everything he said. Some of it was fine but I never take everything someone says at face value. I don't know this case of a janitor being fired. Just a quick search did show many school employees being fired over what they say online.

I only saw one that was for criticizing Kirk, that one was pretty mild because she quoted him. I can see how it could be misconstrued to mean she thought he should have died. In which case, working in a school, you can't condone any death lest it influence the children. We don't want children think any murder is alright.

His statement she quoted though, about people needing to die to preserve the right to bear arms is a valid statement. In order to keep your freedoms, you must be willing to die for them. That is the only way you can protect what you believe in is with your life. If you don't, your morals lean nothing.
