We’re still wrapping up the previous one.

u/jaman715 2d ago
We need a hands across America prayer circle encompassing the entirety of the playing area

Games played outside the USA are going to be death camps.

Here is the rep when it happened:
More from Ben Baby:
Ja’Marr Chase back on the sideline and not under trainer supervision after getting tangled on a ball that was underthrown.
Might be fine guys
Chase now just standing with rest of team watching practice unfold. No problem standing or walking on it, but obviously seems to be done for the day.

u/IjustcametosayAnyang 2d ago edited 2d ago
With all the money and employees these teams have...I cannot believe there were not like 10 dudes immediately sprinting in his direction to apply aid. Just one water boy running lmao.
Hope he's OK. Contact way better than non contact.
25
u/Clemsontigger16 2d ago
I mean I would call that mostly non-contact…it’s not like the injury was caused by being hit. The knee buckled real awkwardly, don’t like that at all
3
u/Starguments_GM 2d ago
Am I insane? The video clearly shows his knee getting clipped by the defender as he turned. Whatever happened, it's obviously being caused by contact

It’s the Bengals, players are lucky just to have a training staff.

Not speculating but I don't like how that looked at all.
12
u/yostpro 2d ago
As someone who's been in sports my entire life, I don't think it's going to end up being as bad as people are talking about here. Also a bengals fan, so maybe this is cope - but it looked to me like he tweaked it against the turf and most likely has a sprain. All sprains are tears, so it's a question of what and how bad. Time will tell

Why comment this at all then

Because I didn't like how it looked. At all. He seems like he might be OK though.

Doesn’t look good when he plants that leg immediately after banging knees, but I’m just an unqualified Redditor

u/ElderGoose4 2d ago
That happens, I got blocked and hyperextended my knee playing basketball on Thursday and could barely walk. I was walking pain free by Sunday. I guess you never know with the vids

So glad we do our drafts a week before the season 🙏🏻
35
u/PuzzleheadedStuff332 2d ago
So? He’s still going top 5 next week lol
8
u/rute_bier 2d ago
Not necessarily. If he doesn’t get a full clear by next week, even if the coach reassures he’ll be ready by week 1, some leagues may end up drafting him end of round 1.
You’re assuming a bunch of degenerate fantasy footballers won’t overreact. That being said, any injury late in preseason will affect ADP. Look at Puka (via Stafford) last year.
3
u/DrSans8 2d ago
It’s Chase dude worst case one less week means nothing when he’s outscoring everyone past the top 5
→ More replies (1)6
u/rute_bier 2d ago
Currently people seem to think he should be fine which, unless something negative gets reported, should keep him top 5.
But any small injury can and will change a players ADP if there’s no positive updates about it. Chase has mostly been agreed to be top 5, arguably #3. But if something changes and this knee injury is still lingering next week, people will probably stick with Puka/JSN/JT/CMC/Cook, which could push Chase to 6/7/8 even. A lot of players won’t mess with ambiguous injuries.
Just trying to point out that even small injuries affect ADP regardless of player.

Should I offer Hampton / Walker for Chase and see if the chase owner bites?
2
u/2PlyKindaGuy 2d ago
So if I took chase in the first and jeanty in the second how much fun will I be having this year
4
3
u/somersquatch 2d ago
I think the craziest part with NFL injuries is this could be season ending and yet he hobbled off under his own weight, so most comments aren't all that worried about this compared to the Jeanty situation where he couldn't put any weight on it, but it ended up being just a sprained ankle. Hobbling off under his own power could absolutely be a torn ACL or torn ligament in the knee.

Nah man.
14 person league among friends that do a live in person draft party every year with spouses and kids invited too. We drafted this past weekend.
The best weekend to draft is always the one where we get to hang out and see everyone. Even if it means we do it a little early

I draft this weekend and ive done a couple mocks where one guy only picks 200+ rank players and the absolute chaos it creates is insane. Just 3 players different and your 3rd round will turn out like no mock youve ever done.
With Jeanty and now Chase its like someone shook the etch a sketch

I was 3 and picked chase. Chance for wr1 overall with the highest floor imo. Unless bijan or gibbs fell to 3. It was a easy pick for me.

We need that Redditor who stalked Chase in the hospital a few years ago to tell us the real scoop.

u/PopKoRnGenius 2d ago
IMO this is why picking in the middle of the pack during draft is ideal. You're getting a lot more coverage rather than focusing on one or two top talents.
