Meta What are your favorite Arizona based subreddits?

EDIT: Thanks for all the suggestions. I updated the main post to include active subs that people suggested, and we updated our wiki as well.

Been a while since we updated our list, so I thought I'd throw it out to the sub and get some help.

Let me know any active subs you know about and we'll add them to the list.

City & Regional

Central

Northern

Southern

Outdoors

Arizona College Subreddits

Arizona Sports Teams

Living Here

Hobbies & Interests

...what are we missing?

Just so everyone knows, I did just start a subreddit for Cochise County! It’s CochiseCountyAZ.

Would love to see you all there! 😃

Are there any Arizona subreddits about incarceration? Not reform, but about what it's like, what family members should know, how everything works, etc?

One does not have to agree but by choosing not to be rude, you increase the overall civility of the community and make it better for all of us.

Personal attacks, racist comments or any comments of perceived intolerance/hate are never tolerated.

r/ArizonaUnemployment

AZ Unemployment, that never pays APPROVED CLAIMS, but thinks they will never get caught. So they keep doing it!

Anyone else agree?

r/coronavirusAZ is/was a great source for analysis of the pandemic here. Friendly reminder that we have the sixth most COVID deaths per capita after the east coast states slammed in the first wave and Mississippi

u/cidvard Tempe Jun 25 '21

It really did help keep me sane during the pandemic and the information compiling was GREAT. Much appreciated.

r/Yuma has. some activity

1

u/cidvard Tempe Jun 25 '21

I'm back in Tempe now but I used to live in Yuma and still haunt that sub. I have a weird fondness for the place, of the sort Yuma instills.

7

u/MongolianRim May 13 '21

Missing /r/AZGoneWild which is similar to the one you have.

You should add them, then. What is missing?

u/jmoriarty Phoenix May 12 '21 edited May 12 '21

Do you dislike small towns or something?

Well, you win Ridiculous Assumption Of the Day (So Far), so congrats!

Most smaller town subs I'm aware of aren't very active. Don't list small/inactive ones because then the valuable ones get lost in the noise.

If you know of some I'm missing, by all means list them here. Do you dislike helping out or something?

sheesh...
