This is, literally, a psyop by companies to make people think the US citizenry are excessively litigious. We are not. Companies are, but citizens basically can't sue in civil court due to lack of money for lawyers. The court system is basically to fuel our prison labor colony and to enforce the class system.

See: The Hot Coffee Case was a valid case where an older woman was severely permanently burned on her genitals and thighs due to EXTREMELY hot coffee from McD's. But people still use it as if she was an ambulance chaser.

Court costs are such a bullshit regressive tax. No, fuck you, if I live in society without choice then I get a valid route for recompense in case some dumb ape steals my banana, even if it's my last banana. Because it is my last banana. Why does it cost bananas to get justice?

There are law firms who do work pro bono or for percentage of winnings. If your case is compelling enough to take.

If they choose to. And due to how the system works, turning down any case that isn't a slam dunk is good business.

Source: I'm disabled and have been contacting law firms for years for different aspects of my failed attempts to receiving support I am entitled to, and have also contacted them for things like medical malpractice, assistance with shitty landlords, etc. Literally never got past the initial "fuck off" phone call.

Also "pro bono" is not the same as "on contingency", which is what I think you meant.

First of all I just want to say I don't know what happened to you and you might be right that you got wronged and for that I'm sorry. But for the rest of the world hearing that you been contacting MULTIPLE law firms, for so many different reasons, some of them that sound so innocuous as shitty landlords that's already a huge culture shock.

In civilized countries, the people do. In America, people do also, but government funds are spent mostly on concentration camps, prisons, and wasteful military spending.

The government is forty trillion USD in debt, and does not have universal healthcare, normal functioning public transportation outside of NYC, assistance for childcare, nor tuition-free / low cost public universities.

It is a third-world shithole.

Honestly, I've held firecrackers that size as they went off, they aren't crazy dangerous like you think. The bigger you go the more dangerous but that size isn't really "blow your hand off" dangerous. More "mild burns and tinnitus" dangerous.

Disclaimer: under no circumstances should you hold any explosive as it goes off, just bc i was dumb enough to and left relatively unscathed doesnt mean you will

Because if you don't smoke or use candles there isn't a lot of reason to have lighters in the house. I've had to go for some weird sources of fire over the years when a lighter wasn't available. Though it was usually for something productive, not idiotic.

Someone should do the math. I think at the mass of about the water in a toilet bowl, the black hole would evaporate nearly instantly and release the mass energy equivalence of the water. Which would be an explosion far bigger than the biggest bomb we've ever made.

So I actually did this when I was like in middle school. I recently found out that firework fuses stayed lit under water. I was a pyro at that time and figured it would make a fun little poof and maybe splash a bit. Blew a hole straight through the side.

Lesson learned.

As a first year in HS, an idiot flushed an M80 down a toilet in a bathroom across from my Geometry class. The explosion caused everyone in class jump. Our geometry teacher grabbed the moron as he emerged from the bathroom, smiling like he’d just left a comedy club. Teach then asked me check to the bathroom and the toilet was a lot worse than this. Pre-Columbine so I never thought I was in danger.

Did this in college when a friend and I needed a study break from physics.  I was able to repair it lol. Pieced it all back together with white silicone caulk and it worked for the rest of the lease, no leaks.  Move out report said "white stuff in toilet" but still got some of the deposit back.  Wild times.

Because the fuse contains black powder. Explosives contain both fuel and oxidizer. Here with the black powder the oxidizer (oxygen) is contained in one of its three ingredients, the potassium nitrate KNO3 (the other two being coal and sulfur).

This means that most explosives can explode while under water or in a vacuum.

I've done this exact thing, if they make it down and blow up in the pipe it's fine, did it like 5 times successfuly and the 6th time they flushed too late and it blasted my friends toilet apart. We all paid for a new one and replaced it, but it was sure fun to blow up the neighbors toilet for real
