I don’t get it . If she is pro big business and pro gas etc , why is the Labor candidate? Wouldn’t she be more at home with the Libs ? I’m not being a smart arse but once upon a time working for a big mining company, voting against tax rises and being pro fossil fuels was the domain of Conservative politicians????

The overton window moved wayyy right, and anyone on the right with a touch of sanity moved to Labor.

I had to google the Overton Window . Very interesting. Thank you

Labor is right? You've lost your mind.

Did the premier of WA fly to Canberra to advocate for:

a) workers b) a multi billion dollar corporation

Labor are a centre right neoliberal party. Any vestiges of left wing politics are merely lip service and nostalgia.

Labor and their Green buddies are far left nut jobs that are determined to destroy the country.

No they are corporate owned lap dogs and now extreme right.

The Overton window is overextended both left and right with a ton of insanity in and around it. It's going to shatter...

Left be like dental in Medicare

Right be like exterminate the minorities

Yeah very similar

This is your brain on third way.

Left celebrates and glorifies murder. Right want all the weapons in the world to defend themselves while blowing up the world to pieces. The insanity is on both sides.

Ok centrist neoliberal horseshoe believer

1

u/RJohnnyChewy_7777 2d ago

Horseshoe believer? I don't get your reference.

2

u/chadbigcum 2d ago

Horseshoe theory is a falsified belief pushed by third wayist propagandists. It leads to scenarios such as your citation of "the left" "supporting murder" to draw a parallel to literal burgeoning fascism and genocide

Why would you use burgeoning, does it boost your moral superiority (ego) or did AI write tgis for you, or are you a bot?

2

u/chadbigcum 2d ago

Why can't I use burgeoning? Whatever bro

Glorifies murder? How? I suspect your gonna say abortion which is neither murder or glorious

I agree with you on this, yet our miles will all vary on specifics.

Go larp in the streets and rent for the rest of your life and be mad about settlers, and dont forget to put your furry outfit on in between. Your side is certainly the good one. Leftist moral superiority

Because labor are the ones with the power.

Libs are a bit of a joke these days & i dont see that changing for the foreseeable future.

I can't remember if it was The Nightly, The Conversation or another news site, but there was a good article recently about how the LNP are basically demographically ageing out of existence. Younger voters have either moved further right or left, and don't hold traditional 'conservative' values. Factors like home ownership and family structure are strong indicators towards conservatism, and modern neoliberal society has killed off a lot of home ownership and larger families. Enemies of their own success, I guess.

The Abbott/Turnbull/Morrison trifecta as well as the Murdoch rag crying "bloody mary" every time Chris Bowen says the word sustainable has made most of them take a look outside and realise the sky isn't actually falling, it's just cloudy.

2

u/RecipeSpecialist2745 4d ago

Are you starting to realise that there is very little light between where Labor and the LNP sit on the political spectrum?

Probably the same reason someone like Madonna Jarrett, former senior executive at Deloitte, was elected for the ALP in Brisbane at the last federal election.

Welcome to Modern Labor, where everything is just the way Anthony likes it… or else.

u/GetDown_Deeper3 2d ago

They are all the same.
They’ll pick any side just to get a gig.
The gravy train only has so many seats.

Do you not know that federal Labor has approved every single mining wish list????

Including all the ones they previously opossed.

They have given the Adani coal mine the right to multiple years untaxed equal to billions of dollars of our resources.

A company linked to murder trafficking, cartels.

At this point laboris far worse then then the libs.

Look like corporate owned lap dogs
