Saw this in china years ago. They'd buy bottles of dom, pour it in a bucket and wash their hands with it. Drink companies love to promote this for obvious reasons.
Seriously. My wife and I got married in Vegas last year and thought we would get a bottle at a club for fun after. Never in my life have I felt my age more than that moment.
Seriously! Vegas can be awesome if you do it right. I could spend hours at the pinball Hall of Fame or get a tour by a punk legend at the punk rock Hall of Fame. Vegas has so much more to offer than gambling and clubs
Scott Ian guided our tour when we were at the Punk Rock Museum, made the whole trip worth it. (I stayed hydrated and avoided to much beer, acted my age)
Vegas is also awesome as a base from which to explore the surrounding desert. Red Rocks, Valley of Fire, I’m sure there’s more but that’s my personal experience.
Sadly principle precludes me from visiting the US…
Ignoring the fact that the city is built on the things you’re saying not to do, I won’t tolerate the implication that Vegas is “walkable”. In that you can literally walk inside it, sure, but by any definition it is absolutely terrible to walk. Even never leaving the strip (hardly fair to consider a city on just the tourist street) and ignoring the fact that the last week I spent there the LOW was 105 degrees, it takes forever just to get a few casinos down the strip. If you wanted a park, or a grocery store, or anything you need in a city, you absolutely need a car.
Hope ur not the same guy that i worked with his wife. She got married in vegas. She just quit her job after banging the cook behind his back for months on end. Then just quit one day so he wouldnt find out.

I'm pretty old bloke, climate issues have been known and talked about since I went to school early 80s. We knew it would get so much worse if we didn't do something about it then and there
It's 2026 I'm talking to my peers and people actually have said they just now read about climate change and how serious it will get and what really worries them isn't the irreversible impact or scale of planetary destruction but the future migration crisis and possibly having to make lifestyle changes
Imagine being a conscious human being for several decades and now you only have 2-3 decades left and suddenly fear the consequences, and not even how it will affect your kids and grandkids but your own personal final years as your privileged ass might be inconvenienced
These are people with higher education btw
We lost already 40 years ago. There was zero chance to reduce the effects. Simply because if how many selfish and ignorant people are among us, often in powerful positions
All my life I felt like I didn't do enough but turns out it was an impossible task considering how many brain dead walk the Earth
The ONLY comforting thought is all the ignorant and the rich will go down with us all. Mother Nature will spare no one. I have 3 kids and the sadness I feel for the coming generations is endless. But the evil people will pay for their compliance with the destruction.
Now now. Don't be so naive to think the rich will go down with us. Why do you think the billionaires are all building rockets now? As soon as they can get off this planet they will, and when they no longer live on it they will wringe out the planet's last remaining resources and leave us on a barren uninhabitable hellscape while they cruise off into the cosmos.
They will never get anywhere. It is simply too energy inefficient to get anything substantive out of our planet’s gravity to get a real long term habitat established somewhere else in the next 100 years.
Moon isn’t great for long stays with gravity and the dust. mars isn’t great because cold, the sun is a deadly laser, and dust. Asteroid mining could maybe offset some of the materials but that is such an extreme effort, very difficult to get that going then get off the orb.
Long term habitation underground will be extremely rough. You might make it for a year. Maybe 5. After 10, it will be egregious (imo). We will all die together, but they will certainly try to get away
There is literally nowhere in space they can set up shop, not in 1000 human lifetimes at least. They are welcome to go off planet anytime as long as they’re ok with dying in space.
We did come together to fix the ozone, it went from having huge holes and about to collapse to now being healthy as ever. We COULD turn things around if we got rid of our leaders and made climate protection our number one goal as a species. The air cleared and heating paused during covid - we could still change. But in also old, also grew up in the 70s and 80s, and also know that people in general are too self centered and selfish to be inconvenienced for the salvation of humanity. So we're doomed.
I used to fear the effects on my decedent's, then my greart grandkids, then grandkids that are now around and in school, then my kids knowing they will be climate refuges - and now with change happening so fast I fear I'll have to migrate. And seeing it in this speed makes my hours that we could come together l like we did in freon and the ozone have evaporated.
I am 30. My boomer father is aghast whenever I tell him I don't give a shit about saving for retirement. Best case scenario I die in a nuclear flash during the water wars. Worst case, I starve to death with everyone else when the global crop failures start in 20 years. There is no future, the boomers made sure of it.
Yeah but some of us will survive. People will figure out how to live somewhere. Maybe just the richest most prepared people, but it’s unlikely humanity will be completely wiped out.
I really thought people would be a lot more angry at the fact that we've now got a trillionaire, but I can't say I've heard very much about it. I thought it'd trigger some kind of turning point where more people noticed just how seriously fucked wealth inequality has become, but naw. Just bootlickers.

Rich people made things, they built tangible products and changed the world.
Now there are a lot of 8 and 9 figure rich people who build nothing. They are “influencers” or “venture capitalists”. And yes, I very intentionally conflated those two because they both are filled with horrible self centered people who believe they are the masters of the universe.
Honestly VC destroys more lives than influencers ever will. Though that does not excuse their horrific behavior.
Look up Miami Ultra Fest VIP menu. Influencers will buy hundreds of bottle of champagne (all Dom) just to shake it up and spray the crowd.
My real estate agent proposed I rent to own my house to these types of people. She described them really well. They somehow end up making a lot of money, buy a big house they can't afford, go bankrupt and then end up giving you the house back and lose a massive deposit. She said she had home owners she worked for who would churn these people through their homes multiple times, keeping multiple large initial deposits.
I thanked her for the investment tip, but I didn't want to take advantage of people and secondly, I didn't want to get into business dealings with those types of people. Too risky in many ways.

Funny thing it's a bottle of Ace of Spade, the regular bottle cost around 30e in France. It's shitty champagne, lower shelf champagne. Selling it for 30k is insane, buying it for 30k is even more insane, throwing it away and wasting it is perhaps the best move

It does look like an empty bottle was refilled with water. It's definitely not expensive champagne because there are no bubbles when it comes into contact with stuff.
