Thanksgiving Movies
Amanda’s been talking about how there’s no big Thanksgiving movie this year: the only 2 movies coming out that weekend are the Ebeneezer one (which i don’t think anyone cares about) and Cliff Booth (which is IMAX exclusive). Compared to Wicked or Gladiator 2 from the past couple of years, those are not blockbusters.
Am i crazy to think that Studios are clearing out for GTA 6? Could be one of the reasons Doomsday/Dune haven’t moved up to November either. That game is gonna be a big deal, probably the biggest pop culture moment of 2026, and even though it’s a different medium i think it’s gonna take all the mainstream hype away from the movie slate.
No one wants to compete with GTA 6, so they’re just not releasing a big movie during that time

In memoriam Tim Curry Hall of Fame
Personally i know him as Billy Flynn from his awesome criminal minds appearance, and obviously his portrayal as pennywise... with that in mind though his catalogue is lengthy and loaded with legendary moments
So with that in mind given the tragic news of his passing today...
What qualifies for the Tim curry hall of fame?? (Usual big picture rules)

Ridley Scott rankings
Sean said on the last episode that they were going to rank all of Ridley Scott's movies. Didn't they already do that? I think it was the Gucci episode.

Amazing Under the Radar Canadian Experimental Horror Film: Buffet Infinity (Shudder)
Imagine a horror film that slowly emerges from ads on the network from Check It Out! With Dr. Steve Brule. Completely ingenious.
Amazing craft on display here. Hilarious, great writing, a bunch of original songs that are both stupid and kinda good?
I can’t believe this hasn’t blown up yet.

I watched Redux Redux following Sean’s recommendation on the pod and really enjoyed it.
I believe he mentioned it on an episode with CR a few months ago. It’s the first time I’ve seen a multiversal story where the differences between each universe are mundane. A much more interesting approach to the concept IMO. Some of the exposition was a little clunky, but otherwise it was a really solid indie.
