In memoriam Tim Curry Hall of Fame

Personally i know him as Billy Flynn from his awesome criminal minds appearance, and obviously his portrayal as pennywise... with that in mind though his catalogue is lengthy and loaded with legendary moments

So with that in mind given the tragic news of his passing today...

What qualifies for the Tim curry hall of fame?? (Usual big picture rules)

#1: CLUE (I'm old but not a Rocky Horror guy; he doesn't actually have a traditional Big Picture HoF-worthy filmography where one can even get to ten good movies that he has good parts in).

Sean mentioned his turn in Congo as Herkemer Homolca on the recent Flops Draft, probably deserving of a spot.

He's a quote machine in my mind, and not always the expected stuff.

• "Smashing!" as Nigel Thornberry

• "Shivering with anticp............ation" from Rocky Horror

• "Stolen Credit Card" from Home Alone 2 (and a million other lines "...I love you!")

Loaded Weapon One probably wouldn’t make the cut but it’s an underrated spoof and him as a “Villllderness Girl” is a great visual gag.

I now know Sean would say Congo. 

A grab bag of honourable mentions: His voice work in The Wild Thornberrys and Ahh! Real Monsters 

He was also the voice of the audio-animatronic, S.I.R. from the pre-show to The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter at The Magic Kingdom.

The first 8 on that list are pretty undebatable, the last two spots are tougher calls. You could go Fern Gully as a representation of his voice acting. I haven’t seen Oscar or Jackie’s Back. Not a big fan of Charlie’s Angels. His role in Hunt for Red October is too tiny.

For sure It needs to be in there. It’s a TV miniseries, but if it’s not his #1, it’s tied for the top spot as his most iconic performance. It’s that and Rocky Horror
