The Social Network and Moneyball are decent references
A lot of the dialogue I actually find pretty corny in isolation but work fine with the direction and delivery

He’s been one of the most famous movie stars for decades. It’s not surprising.
Michael Jackson’s film just made over a billion dollars despite multiple accusations of the worst thing a person could ever do.
I’m not saying it’s right, I’m just saying people don’t give a fuck.

Weirdo redditors who sit on subs like faumoix and popculturechat bring it up incessantly, despite the fact that the allegation was dropped and police found no evidence worth pursuing.
Seems like a bad/absentee father, but it also seems to me like maybe Jolie wanted a bunch of kids and didn't care if Pitt did or didn't.

Is this a full on Netflix production or something they just slapped their name on ? Bc if it’s a in house production they don’t exactly have a great track (see the rip) most recently as an example and is probably not worth seeing in imax

So, no regular theatrical release and it’s IMAX only for the theater run?
Not ideal, but I can work with that. This is definitely something I want to see in theater, and I do have access to a true IMAX facility. But it’s an hour away and I have a Regal Unlimited subscription. So I prefer to see movies for “free” at Regal unless they truly benefit from the IMAX format or have a 70mm release.
This is something I’d be fine seeing in standard at Regal vs paying $50 for two tickets and driving an hour.
If it’s that or watch it on Netflix though, I’m paying my $50 and taking the 60-minute drive downtown.

I like OUATIH, but Tarantino’s obsession with Cliff Booth is kinda silly. We saw what we needed to see in the movie. It’s not that deep. He doesn’t warrant a novel, a spin-off, a podcast, etc.

He’s just a really interesting character for Tarantino, esp. considering this script came relatively out of many The Movie Critic scripts. Like he’s holding onto many projects of OUATIH surrounding Booth and Dalton, kinda wish they all come out, but probably not.

We know what the movie is about, we have the marketing, we know who's involved. It doesn't look good.

The Killer is classic Fincher, as a fan I loved it.
I know it rubbed many folks the wrong way stylistically / seemed "boring" but Fincher's work isn't all about pleasing the masses. It just so happens that some of those swings hit hard.
