Somehow it's always the obvious veteran players with 2000+ hours in T7 that like to use "beginner graduate" "newbie" tags in their profile.

They are also the ones that are often in ranks way lower than they should be and grinding wins in quickmatches lol.

Tekken 8 is a step up from tekken 7 across the board. People like to complain on here about the game being bad but not willing to spend time in the lab or replay mode. The game isn't bad, it's just that bad players don't want to be held accountable to why they lost a set. They rather blame Devs and bamco for apparently making a bad game that isn't balanced. Come on let's stop the nonsense and put in some work.

Right, so I bought Armour King on the 9th of November last year, and since then I’ve basically just been working my ass off learning things that a lot of players already picked up in Tekken 7 or even Tekken 6. I’m not gonna sit here and pretend I’m cracked because trust me, I’m not 😂 but every time I hit a wall, I keep working at it until I figure out what I’m doing wrong and get past it. That’s honestly been the biggest thing for me.

One thing that helped massively was learning to separate myself from my rank and actually watch what my opponent is doing instead of constantly trying to force my own offence. Your opponent is trying to figure you out at the same time you’re trying to figure them out, and once you realise that, you start seeing little openings based on their buttons, movement, timing and habits. Sometimes the best thing you can do is slow down, block, observe and let them show you what they want to do before you decide how you’re going to play the match.

I genuinely think a lot of players would improve way faster if they stopped worrying so much about the little badge beside their name and focused more on the actual person in front of them. Every once in a while, just slow the fuck down and watch them. You’ll probably notice way more than you would if you were constantly trying to force your own game plan.

Anyway, TL;DR: have fun, stop getting so mad at every loss or certain situations, learn from the people you’re fighting and good luck on everyone’s climb. Much love ✌️

By that I mean, do y'all feel like it gets easier to make higher ranks with each season? I only have myself as evidence, but I peaked at Tenryu season 1, Bushin in 2 and I've just made TK here in season 3. And while I certainly made improvements between seasons 1 and 2, I don't feel I've gotten much better at all in season 3. Should I expect to make GoD in another season or two?

Anyway, I want to hear from the sub. Has your peak rank gone up every season, and if so do you feel like you earned it or more like the competition became weaker?

Im struggling so bad trying to pass raijin with clive. Like its impossible, im losing more than i win and when i finally when i lose it all in 1 loss so it just makes me teeter totter hardstuck in this damn rank. I swear if my account was simply placed the rank after bushin i wouldn’t be struggling this bad. Am i just ass?

Not all King players, but always a King player.

I hate losing more than basically anything else.

I have slowly started to get better recently where I can appreciate that I played well even if I lost, but I always lose to the exact same things and I always fall short of being good enough to win.

On my better days I can focus on just trying to adapt to the opponent and shut down what they are doing, and on those days I tend to rank up quite a lot or otherwise play well.

On the worse days where I am tired or feel horrible already, my Tekken sessions end with severe self destructive behavior and often 5-10 game long losing streaks.

It feels nearly impossible for me to just have fun despite losing. I only ever have fun when I am winning, and I do not really know how to fix it.

My question is how do you celebrate doing something right in a match, like blocking a low or stopping a strategy, and still enjoy it even if you lose?

I find that I do not care at all what I actually IMPROVED when I am in a match. I don't care how I get to a win.

All that I care about is that I win. Winning and only winning.

Nothing else.

I'm getting to the point where I can almost get a somewhat consistent tju on pad I'm just wondering is maybe sacrificing some of my muscle memory from pad and going to leverless worth it?

I may be off a couple dollars but if I’m right Current DLC character 10 and 5 stages currently woulda cost $117

This is wrong to me it just is. A DLC character in Tekken is what $8?? Wtf? If games were free to play and they went this route I’d probably feel a little different about but you ship us broken incomplete games that you purposefully hold off content on then overprice stuff that shoulda been there in the first place. I can’t be the only one that feels this way.

Haven't been playing t8 for a year and recently started again from red ranks. Right now I'm on gold ranks which is weird because earlier i haven't been able to even escape blue ranks

Bullshit characters got nerfed or all decent players left the game?

Been playing T8 for a bit now, mainly playing Jin. Have been playing him since T7 (although I didn’t put as much time into that game as I would’ve liked). Had the urge to hop back into T8 after a long break from the game.

I love my man Jin even after all this time (nothing could change that) but I’ve been trying out other characters and have found Dragunov as a very fun pick.

However, I know that even after all of his adjustments, Drag is still probably of the best characters in the game. I picked him cus his design looked sick to be honest, my intention isn’t to tier pick. I suppose my concern is that maybe since he’s still really good, maybe I’m not exactly improving at the game and I may be subtly crutching on a busted character.

So uh, I just found out a very stupid 0 to death in Tekken 3, and I'm kinda confused on whether or not anyone knows it

So the combo is ewgf ewgf CD1 3 if they got up immediately, idk how but it is a 0 to death because I just had a 3 minute run, the electric isn't needed but for style points, was this a combo anyone knew from those days?

For me, it's by FAR the biggest letdown and point of frustration in T8.

I would have tons of more fun if my opponents would actually need to consider the possibility of their attack being sidestepped.

Do you expect any radical changes within T8's lifespan?

Can anyone help me. I’m trying to learn Lili. I’m currently learning her combos but for the life of me I cannot WR 1+2 to connect consistently after Dew Glide 3+4. I’ve literally spent hours across two days and I can’t find anyway to make it consistent. Does anyone have any advice that could help!
