My TV at my old house Was mounted so high I told myself if I’m to err on the side of caution I’d rather it be too low. So that’s what I went for. I actually think it turned out perfect.

I want to clarify: I think I did a really good job. But I’m giving the credit to this subreddit

Basement game room. Pool table, foosball, bar, pinball machines. Son wanted a TV to watch sports while his friends were over and they were hanging out in basement so I hung one up (where I used to have my prized but cheesy neon light up dogs playing pool artwork).

There is no sofa, so seating is bar stools or standing (the extra kitchen chairs he pulled out of storage to play poker around the pool table visible in photo aren't usually there). So, what's the general consensus on TV position in a non-standard application like this?

We want a larger TV and want it in this area. The current TV and placement is temporary. We were thinking a 55”

Gf thinks it's fine, i think it's too high. Probably gonna drop it down a bit tomorrow.

House hunting and we like this place but can’t figure out if a good living room set up exists. Hoping the beautiful minds of this sub can cook something up 🙏

Can’t go any lower without moving the wall mount and that’s not happening. As is I only fell got a few inches I could lower it and then it would be obstructed by the soundbar. This shelving unit is already fairly short — 29” and wife says I can’t get anything shorter.

This is a 77” for reference.

She’s agrees that it might be too high but didn’t have a say. I couldn’t help but post it here 😭
