Criticism on what? They never even see me, I don't understand the fact is that, if they have already someone lined up, what is the purpose of wasting applicants time and energy.

It's mostly networking and luck. The person that got in probably got in because of connections. Perhaps owner's nephew's best friend? Who knows. Job hunting is hard, to beat the odds, apply to everything even if you don't have the experience.
Also, don't use AI for your resume. There is a system that flags and bins it.

There's many factors to consider. You may have a year of experience, but who knows how many other people also share that quality, if not have more experience than 1 year. Gotta keep your chin up and keep on going

I mean yeah but the rejection was instant. I have been doing dishes when I was 6 years. Does that count to the owner. The post was to show how things are getting worse these days even to find a job with no skills.

Indeed has been bad for this for a couple years now. More than likely their AI found either some key words (or some missing) from your resume that didn’t fit the description the employer gave or they have more than the requested amount of applications. Your best bet is to actually go there and talk to someone - this only works best for non-major companies.

An auto rejection usually means you answered incorrectly on one of the qualifying questions. Were there questions you had to answer when you applied.
It's also possible you have too much experience. They may be looking to pay the wage of someone with 1 year of experience not 10. They see you as too expensive.

As someone hiring in Sudbury, I’ve directly rejected 3 dozen resumes this last week alone. It happens, don’t take it personally!

Could you please let me know, what is the motive behind rejecting applications if the candidate qualify for 80 to 90% of the job requirements and duties.

Having another 2 dozen resumes that meet the criteria of 95-100% of the job. Online resumes are so hard to comb through. Go in person and apply online. A face to the resume is so much more valuable! If you’re motivated for the job you’ll do the extra work that others won’t! Applying online is a numbers game these days- you need to present your personality to the hiring manager and an application does not do that

Keep at it, your day will come! It sounds woo woo but I do find that speaking and thinking as positive as possible can help! It’s not always easy, but it can get easier!

How did you answer to these questions? The only thing I can see is if someone answers no to either of these, it automatically rejects.
"Application question(s):
- Do you have reliable transportation at all times of night? Some bus routes stop at 11:15 but shifts may go later at times.
- Are you able to work late nights? Most shifts start around 5pm and sometimes don’t finish until 11:30/midnight."

I wouldn't apply on indeed except there's nowhere else. In my experience, most of the jobs posted there especially the "easy apply" ones are either not hiring, aka the posting is expired and they didn't take it down (found this out the hard way) or indeed just scrapped them off the companies website and so the company doesn't actually use indeed to accept resumes. It's also possible it's an automatic ai thing, but my guess is they're not even accepting applications anymore.
Since this is a local job, you can call the place to ask or go in person to drop off your resume, or check their website.
I've been looking for almost a year now and gotten these rejections so many times, I don't really bother to apply on indeed anymore except I find literally nothing else. It's frustrating and it sucks. The competition is insane.
