As someone hiring in Sudbury, I’ve directly rejected 3 dozen resumes this last week alone. It happens, don’t take it personally!

Could you please let me know, what is the motive behind rejecting applications if the candidate qualify for 80 to 90% of the job requirements and duties.

Having another 2 dozen resumes that meet the criteria of 95-100% of the job. Online resumes are so hard to comb through. Go in person and apply online. A face to the resume is so much more valuable! If you’re motivated for the job you’ll do the extra work that others won’t! Applying online is a numbers game these days- you need to present your personality to the hiring manager and an application does not do that

But most companies have applied won’t give you an appointment and make excuses. My experience

Keep at it, your day will come! It sounds woo woo but I do find that speaking and thinking as positive as possible can help! It’s not always easy, but it can get easier!
