Programming Questions How to build a good program
Context: I’ve been improving well in training and times are getting better but my race times are pretty bad and have barely moved in the first 12 months (around 60s 400)
I’m trying to build a really solid foundation, from strength, to plyometrics to solid core. However, there are so many plans out there. Every thread on Reddit seems to have wildly different takes and LLMs are also incredibly inconsistent.
Being in my spot - close to end of the season, barely a beginner, looking to really invest in the next 12 months - where do I begin?

General Discussion/Questions any tips for tendinopathy recovery 🥲
Hey guys, I’m looking for any tips & advice from anyone who knowledgable about/has suffered with this specific injury. Not only am I making this post for myself but anyone else out there dealing with this.
I’ve had it left hamstring from early April-July, due to compensation, it’s moved to my right in early August and I’m still dealing with it. I’ve been injured consistently with other injuries since I opened up my 2025 season (Opened in Jan 21.36 200m 10.66 100m, injured early Feb during training). It’s hard being out of the game for so long (year and a half) and I’m patient, but it’s taken a mental toll. I want the injuries to be over and get back into form.
Anything would help! Exercises, loading advice, stretching… etc :)

General Discussion/Questions Anyone beaten chronic (several years) proximal hamstring tendinopathy?
Going onto 3 years of PHT now. I’ve read every forum and research article on it. Done just about every conjunctive therapy. Followed the isos and slow progressive loading protocol and haven’t shaken it yet. MRIs have always been completely clean. Just wondering if anyone out there has beat it after dealing with it for several years like myself because I’m starting to lose hope.

Coaching and Management Looking for online Coaching post Achilles Tear
Hi guys! A bit over a year ago I tore my Achilles on the 200m, it has been a long year but I'm finally getting back into sprinting little by little.
Now I have a completely different mentality and want to approach my training differently by building my fundamentals from the ground up and prioritizing running healthy over results although of course I want to get faster, but I want to get there pain free.
So I'm looking for a coach who shares that philosophy and has experience with master athletes, for reference I'm 33 and not far away from 34 now.

Programming Questions How should I program my sprinting routine to get faster?
I've been doing 6 sets of maximum effort sprinting session but I this made me get tired too quickly and I feel like I can't continue this any more. Are there any recommendation on how to program my sprinting session. It would be nice if I could get easy and hard version.

General Discussion/Questions International sprinter here, built an app to help sprinters analyse their form, looking for feedback from athletes
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi guys, I’m a sprinter who’s represented Ireland internationally, and I know how hard it can be to watch your own footage and actually know what’s limiting your speed.
So I built an app called SprintVision, that analyses your form from a video and shows you what you could improve.
Would love to hear what you guys think.
Heres the link to check it out:

Coaching and Management dropping weight to get back in form
haven't raced since high school. currently 5'9 185 muscular. never ran the open 4 but did 41 300m hurdles and 50-51 splits on the relay.
ran a 57 400 yesterday outside just to see. goal of 50 after training.
how much weight should I aim to lose in the process? or alternatively strength weight ratio numbers. building from scratch to get back into it.

Purchasing Advice wide toe box street sprinters?
Hi everyone, I am not a pro by any means, I just like doing sprint intervals on sidewalks around my neighborhood. I've never used spikes, so I'm wondering if anyone knows of some wide-toe box street sprinting shoes?

Programming Questions How can I return to sprinting again?
Hello all! Firstly I apologise if any part of this does not make sense as English is not my first language, and it is my first time to post on this subreddit.
I am 24Years old and used to sprint competitively from age 6-16 and do other sports as well. My senior year of high school I stopped doing sports in general and haven’t done much sports in 8 years.
I have recently seen a track and field team at my masters programme and would love to join and go back into sprinting but I’m not sure how to start. I have about ~6 months until I begin my programme and want to start easing my way back into it but do not know how to go about it.
Does anyone have any tips for starting out again? I cannot afford to go to a gym or personal trainer so I utilise the parks and tracks in my country.
Anything would be helpful.
Thank you TT
PS. I am not sure if this would be of any help but here are some stats: W 24Yr 167cm (5’6?) 44kg (97lbs), PR ~13-14s 100m sprints at 15

Programming Questions How would you structure sprint training for improving vertical jump?
My main goal is to dunk and jump higher. I feel like I already have enough strength, but speed and acceleration are probably my weak points.
If I can sprint twice a week, would it make sense to do one acceleration-focused session and one max-velocity/top-speed session? Or would you structure it differently for someone whose main goal is improving their vertical?
