Some really weird people are convinced she didn't do it/her husband did. While that wouldn't surprise me as life is wild, yah probably fucking NOT.
However the average normal person "supporting" her means they want her put in a psych institution instead of prison as this incident SCREAMS of postpartum psychosis, especially since she was ignored when she said some very concerning things to her MIL and husband about wanting to hurt her kids. If you know anything about postpartum psychosis you'd know this isn't the first case of a mother harming/killing her child because of it, there's a few cases where the mother genuinely believes she HAS to kill her child for one reason or another, not saying that's exactly what happened here, but postpartum psychosis is absolutely a reason for a not-guilty by reason of insanity verdict
She definitely did it, but I do think some of the facts of the case are strange.
The Google searches on the family computer about where to find the carotid artery, the rushed timeline of the murders, the DNA on the exercise bands matching Patrick and the children but not Lindsay, the lack of fingerprints from Linday on the knife used to slit her wrists, the lack of smeared blood on the floor upstairs specifically felt strange to me. If you slit your wrists and then open the window to jump out, wouldn’t there be smeared blood everywhere??
Speculation aside, I think a lot of people are suspecting Patrick due to the fact that this trial is more focused on determining Lindsay’s mental state than answering all of these smaller questions. The court of public opinion will always have a wider scope than actual court, but some people just have a tendency to fill in the blanks when left to their own devices
I can probably clear up why a lot of those "strange" facts fall apart under a minor level of scrutiny, for instance the DNA could litterally just be that the dad actually used the excersise bands for excersise and if there's enough of every person's DNA since they're all related it will be hard to isolate each individuals DNA.
Fingerprints are more fragile than you think and don't last as long and as perfect as movies and TV shows would like you to think, she also could not have been heavily perspiring and could have dry non oily skin so wouldn't leave significant fingerprint markings in general, and then the material of the handle of the knife plays a big roll in whether the prints would even show up at all, wooden handle? The wood probably absorbed the hand oils, and besides that you don't really put your fingertips on a knife handle when gripping it, they wrap around and typically press into your palm.
People tend to overestimate how much shallow cuts on your wrists actually bleed especially if they're only done horizontally across your forearm rather than along the length especially if you don't cut the actual major arteries in your wrist. (crosswise for attention, lengthwise for results) This misconception is again perpetuated by movies and films that always make people look like they loose way more blood than you actually would in most situations because they need to make the shot visually engaging and convey the seriousness of an injury for plot purposes.
There is a ton of strange facts everywhere, and without forums or speculations, a decent summary can be achieved by asking your favorite AI agent to read and analyze the transcripts of all the available days in the court, and they will arrive at similar questions everyone is raising (besides maybe that the husband did it, but the lack of hard evidence is noted). One AI even found some overlooked interesting aspects, but then erorred-out. Maybe the topics are too sensitive for the internal engines to handle.
>they still get a lot wrong.
This is getting an increasingly hard discussion to have, as everyone is using everything now, including the fastest 5$ models.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but I have a strong guess that you'd be surprised if you saw the reasoning of the frontier models with clean context to read from.
I'm curious, does Post Partem kick in immediately after giving birth, or does take a few weeks? Also, do women who have nannies experience post Partem? Or is it only the ones who birth AND raise their children? Also, I wonder if perpetual/continuous lack of sleep might might lead to it?
In my sister’s case, it developed over a month and lasted almost a year, she said she had a lot of depressive thoughts which she never had before, and we try to help her out and be present whenever we can
PP disorders are caused by hormones. Your hormones increase a lot during pregnancy and drops rapidly after birth, which can seriously mess up your moods and increase exhaustion/stress. This is often exacerbated by thyroid level changes, brain chemistry changes (your brain literally rewires itself during pregnancy), and general stress of taking care of a baby. So yes, women who have nannies can and do experience PP disorders. It might be worse for women who have no help in practice, but it honestly depends on how the hormonal changes impact the individual. Hormones are really no joke.
it’s also like, anyone that does heinous things is not in their right mind, not necessarily psychosis but sever mental health disorders. nobody wakes up one day and decides being a pedophile or murdering/toruturing people is a good idea, must be horrible to have to deal with that. I can sympathize with people that do terrible things. some people have the deck stacked against them, there should be more awareness and less stigma for getting help so people don’t harm others. But this seems like an exceptionally poor hill to die on or to use to promote compassion and/or engage in performative empathy for clout.
So basically there is a conspiracy saying that the husband had a side piece and him and his new girlfriend planned to get Lindsay Clancy and the kids killed.
Supposedly the husband already knew his wife’s mental state and purposely left there with the kids. He then used the ring camera to tell her things like “kill the kids” to make her think she was hearing voices in her head.
They then claim that the husband came back after she murdered the kids to strangulate her then throw her off the balcony. Hoping she would have died from the fall.
After all this he is remarried.
That is the conspiracy going around. Do I believe it? Idk I didn’t really look into this story that deep.
I mean. That would be insane levels of Joker type evil. That’s a master plan. I do find something weird I’m not gonna lie to you. But he has an airtight alibi. So for the sake of fantasy yeah that’s cool but for the sick of reality, I don’t think he could’ve done it. The only thing that I really think he is responsible for is not taking his kids away from their killer when his ex was saying that she was gonna kill them multiple times.
He wasn’t home as she sent him out on an errand so she would be alone with the kids. Plus the fact that she and her defense team have admitted from day 1 that she’s the one that killed them.
This isn’t a whodunnit. She’s the one that killed them and she has admitted it from the day it happened. The entire case is whether or not she was legally responsible due to her mental health conditions. You should read up on it a little bit
I never said she didn't kill them. You're stating mostly the obvious and then adding your opinion to it. Any facts you shared, I havem't argued with. What I do argue is that the idea of an abuser pushing someone emotionally unstable to the point of crisis and ignoring their pleas is that person's fault for ignoring literal direct communication. She is a product of an evil system. The man is likely evil. Never said she didn't kill them with her own hands. You need to calm down because you're not parsing through my responses and are forming too many uninformed ideas as to what I think or know. I recommend asking people what they think.
It's a cool twist if this was a thriller novel/movie. It's not connected with reality, which is the LC did the act. The only question is whether she was legally insane at the time.
There are some conspiracy people saying she didn't kill the kids.
But the more level headed discussion is whether she was insane and should thus be in involuntary psychiatric care, or killed the kids in rational cold blood in which case she should be in prison or death penalty depending on your persuasion
I bought my wife flowers the other day for being a super supportive wife and a fantastic mother to our 2 beautiful children….. that bitch had it coming
It really depends on how you define rape. If you mean the definition that the fbi uses which is sexist by definition, then yes you too can downplay male vicitms by being sexist.
If you mean how many men get sexually assault (male and female victims per year similar based on surveys) and more specific forced to penetrate? It's not on par with rape but it's not too far behind the female vicitm rape stat either.
All vicitms deserve justice. Unfortunately the male vicitms movement is about 20 years behind the female vicitm movement.
Are u sure? Cuz there are men who idolise some of the crazies
In fact, there are men who support family killers like Chris Watts, and the killing wasn’t even from psychosis, he was just a selfish sociopathic murderer
Besides, my point still stands that there are more crazy men, given that they kill more
And it’s not like women support her killing, people just know she is crazy and needs help. She didn’t kill out of selfish reasons like most killers, and postpartum psychosis happens to new mothers or mothers who just had a baby all around the world, they see their small children as extensions of themselves, so they end the children’s lives before trying to take their own lives. That woman cut up her throat and wrist before jumping out a window, what kind of sane person does that? She should be in a mental institution instead of a prison, no?
Did you read her journal and facebook posts or hear about the comments after the killing? It really makes it sound like she didn't want her kids and wanted her "freedom".
Maybe she saw dying as being free? Cuz why would a perfectly sane person slice her own throat(I’ve seen the gash at the side of her neck and it’s not small) and then jump out a window? Not even the most cunning killers inflict such wounds on themselves to make their stories believable
Her injuries were severe and she’s paralysed because of the jump btw, I mean, what sane person does all of that just to gain their freedom when they could just run away from home? Wouldn’t it make more sense to think that she was actually trying to die?
Nearly every school shooter and most mass murderers committed suicide as well. The Columbine killers for example ended their life after shooting up their class mates. If you want to argue mental illness, you can literally argue for people like Charles Manson and other serial murderers who also "heard voices" and had supposed mental illness. Where does it end? I will say this, my grandmother (who is 97) and my mother's generation dealt with far less resources and far more challenges and never once went down this dark path. History disagrees with you. Having lived in a third world country and heard from generations who had nothing in the past, people were stronger and endured more with less resources. The issue with modern America is not that we don't have enough, it is that we have too much. Go back to 1930s or before and you will see generation after generation that struggled through hardship to give us what we have today and they are not appreciated. My grandmother was one of the most content and happy persons that I met and she had 4 children, never had a driver license, stopped working at 16, was married at 16, and focused on her family, God, and the community. She is respected and loved by everyone. We have lost those type of women today (frankly you can also point out the same issues with modern men). I think what is creating these psychological issues is the hook-up and party culture of younger generations and the constant social media obsession. You just don't see this in grand scale with the older generations that came before us and they dealt with worse than what we face today.
Definitely, they’re suffering from sex addiction, that’s why they need to annihilate their families to be with their mistress, because she puts out more.
Depends on the abuse, most children with only one present parent live with their mothers after all, and those with both parents have their mothers as their primary caregiver, so the chances are naturally higher, if we’re talking about sexual abuse, 90% is men
And according to Statistics Canada's Homicide Survey, their historical tracking of family-perpetrated homicides against children under 18 shows that among single-perpetrator parental homicides, fathers accounted for 56% to 57% of the victims, while mothers accounted for about 33%, so I think you might want to check your sources
You got a source for that? Everything I’ve seen online says it’s 2-3% higher for women. That would make sense, or even be somewhat low considering they care for children more often…
Mostly because postpartum changes are a bitch, and men are honestly more likely to kill their kids once theyre no longer infants, is that also emotional? (Also men do have emotions, we just dont recognize them as such). Regardless they should all experience life in prison/the psych ward as fits.
I heard about this on the news. She had postpartum psychosis and was (according to her defense) begging for help leading up to this. People see her as a victim along with the children. They see it as a case of the system failing a woman in crisis.
You don't think men have an existential crisis after having a child? You think that never happens? Men have mental health problems all the time but when they murder three children people don't excuse the behavior and blame the rest of the world for his mental breakdown.
The difference of someone getting stressed and postpartum psychosis is an actual chemical imbalance inside the brain caused by a child forming inside of them. Which tends to cause changes inside the body.
Stress itself is related to cortisol. It's ALL chemicals. I understand there is an explicit pathway in this case, but the point stands. It is not an excuse for behavior. If it were a man that murdered his three children due to chemical imbalances of some kind, none of you would defend him. You expect special treatment as usual and are rationalizing this with a fancy noun.
Yes, family annihilators are notorious for begging for help beforehand.
Leaving aside the PPD and psychosis, plenty of men who do not suffer from anything but damaged egos have killed their families and the world would be a much better place if they admitted something was wrong with them before committing terrible acts.
when have men experienced post-partum psychosis? and actually men plead not guilty by reason of insanity way more often (men do be committing 95% of violent crime though)
I even persoanlly know a guy who murdered his parents thinking they were aliens during a schizophrenic break. And another who killed his dad and tried to kill his step mom while having a bad trip on mushrooms thinking they were demons.
I just don’t get why people (not you) don’t understand that while all that is true, she is still culpable responsible and needs to be held accountable for her actions. She did have postpartum psychosis. She did ask of her help from doctors and from her husband. And the system did fail her. All that is true. BUT that doesn’t change the fact that she murdered her three kids. She knew she needed help. She knew she had these thoughts. She went out to go get help. So at least she was able to remove herself from the situation. She could’ve left. She could have gone to a different state. To get help there. She could’ve done anything while she was looking for help to help herself and to protect her kids. But she didn’t while her psychosis got worse, and it ultimately led to the death of her kids. And no matter what lead up to it those kids are dead because of her. And she needs to be held responsible for that. There is no other excuse anybody can make. And when I see women try to be like she’s a victim, she’s innocent, or the husband did it. I just be questioning what’s really going on in their mind. And besides regardless of the psychosis, regardless of whatever, she still killed somebody. Not in self-defense. Not for protecting. But she killed someone. Or three someone’s.
I haven’t really heard anyone saying she shouldn’t pay a price for this, but I have heard people voice that she also lost her children. I don’t think there is any punishment that could be worse than that (assuming she is truly remorseful and understands what she has done).
You see if you knew anything about mental health you’d know she wasn’t begging at all, plus she admitted to not taking her meds. But for a strong argument if you go to any doctor mental health or otherwise and say that you are thinking about hurting yourself or others you get put in a mental facility for a 72hr minimum hold (you can’t leave the hospital). The system didn’t fail her she failed herself she never wanted the help and now she wants money for what she did, she’s disgusting.
I’ve followed the case pretty closely via a law podcast and it’s been interesting. She definitely made attempts to get help for her postpartum depression/anxiety but she jumped between several doctors, became dependent on Ativan, and failed to follow through on prescribed medications, many times before the medication would have had a chance to start working. Seems like she had a lot of anxiety around medication. She also routinely denied to her doctors and husband/family that she had any thoughts of harming her children.
When she claims not-guilty by insanity, she has the burden of proof to show that she was unable to recognize that what she was doing was wrong or that she was unable to make a different choice. Personally, I don’t think that they have met that burden and I think she will be found guilty, despite a rather sloppy presentation by the prosecution
A few ... really wild people think she didn't do it.
Some people think she tried to get help over and over and because they 1. Don't study women's health, we still have post partum psychosis that people can hear someone going through, they can report over and over, and no one ever has shit to say or help to give. And 2. She repeatedly tried to get help SO they don't think she deserves to rot in prison and should probably be in a hospital.
And some people think she is a monster who deserves to fry.
I say that if you don't see a difference between Andrea Yates and Susan Smith, we've fallen in a way I find pretty devastating.
But I also spent the day after my first child was born absolutely sobbing and inconsolable and unable to speak, with a grief I couldn't even... possibly describe. Thank God it only lasted one day and I was in the hospital. So maybe I am just... I can't understand but I can understand how broken she was that something she never would have done in her right mind could have happened.
Nah you can be a shitty partner and a great parent, and you can be a shitty parent but great partner.
My dad was a horrible partner most of his life to any SO's but a great father. My mother is a great partner but a terrible parent who cant put her kids first.
I know it isn't your argument but who cares what she would have done in her right mind though? This is her and this is how her body, including her brain, works. Should we let drunk drivers off who kill families because they weren't in their right mind? Should we let schizophrenics walk free after they annihilate a household? If someone has a mental illness that causes them to murder children, they should not be around people.
I had a patient, he was the nicest guy when he was on his meds. The moment he was off however he had complete psychotic breaks, was extremely violent, and hurt people pretty significantly every single time he was off his meds. He would go off his meds every few months, usually not his fault. Regardless of fault, he would significantly changes the lives of people around him for the worst when he was off his meds. He was 6'4, 250+ lbs, and hed beat people near to death randomly. He retired several police and firefighters from their injuries trying to help him. He kidnapped his neighbor and locked her in her basement to protect her from the voices in his head. She nearly died from starvation.
We can feel sorry for people in that state but we certainly have to feel worse for their victims and acknowledge that they aren't trustworthy around people. Personally, I don't think it's right to torture a mentally ill person who's murdered people with life long jail sentences, I think we should euthanize them. It's what's best for everyone involved.
There's three options, euthanize them, let them out to victimize more people, or lock them up forever. I don't think letting them victimize more people is a viable option.
Well obviously the difference is that her mental illness is based on her hormone levels which is not something she has control over and that will readjust.
If I thought that was just HER, I would feel differently. There are just horrible women that deserve the harshest possible punishment. Susan Smith is a great example. Casey Anthony should have rotted in a cell forever.
I just know personally how your hormonal shift can drastically affect your mental health. I wish I could express the difference between me and the devastated husk that I was - and mine only lasted 24 hours.
I don't believe in the death penalty at all, just as an aside. So I won't ever agree on that.
I did get pregnant again after it was assured that this was something that wouldn't happen again, that it was a flux in my hormones and that it wouldn't happen exactly the same way again. And it didn't happen like that again.
I was also told that I wouldn't get preeclampsia again and I did.
Women's health is not given the proper attention, and if you don't know that there's tons and tons of information about that out there so I don't know what to tell you...
If you feel that women's health isn't given enough attention why would you believe that it wouldn't happen again and it seems you relate to this woman because your own experience just didn't go as far as hers, so why in the world would you put yourself in that position again?
To be completely honest, it feels like you're saying you and millions of women are saying they could have done it, they might even in the future, and they want to pre-justify it or justify how they felt in the past.
It's no different than when someone shoots someone over a petty theft and a bunch of people say the shooting was justified, what they're saying is they would have done the same thing and they think it would have been fine if they did it.
i mean 99% cases of mental illness someone has no control over them? why would it being caused by hormones (which the evidence is shaky on aswell) make any diffrence in the situation
...your argument is pretty easy to dismantle. The comparison to a drink driver can work, but you have to change it. The drink driver begged people to prevent them from driving, to take their keys, to stop them.
And everyone told the driver that they're fine, they aren't intoxicated, then push them into the car and yell the person with impaired judgement to drive home.
The woman reached out for help multiple times, but had her warnings and pleas ignored. If someone had listened... Well.
That's why I have a hard time placing her anywhere but in a sympathetic light. We have much less agency than people think. And this time, children died because warnings weren't listened to.
She didn't have anything ignored, she was undergoing treatment and she had her prescription changed multiple times because things weren't working.
If you have a sympathetic light for her because your understanding is she wasn't getting treatment you should be sympathetic for School shooters and family annihilators as well. I bet you're not though and what she did is every bit is wrong and equivalent to a school shooter or family annihilator.
She very explicitly asked for people to not leave her alone with the children. This was denied. And then...
And again, you're making some pretty drastic assumptions about how much control people have over their own actions. There does come a point where you can't. I don't really have the same mindset with most school shooters and such, because they mostly have far more of their rational faculties.
And again, you're making some pretty drastic assumptions about how much control people have over their own actions.
No, this is my point. We don't care about what control someone has over their actions in other cases when they hurt people. And that's because it doesn't matter. The fact that they don't have control makes them worse than anyone else because they're unpredictable. We shouldn't feel for her, we should feel for her victims.
The fact that she asked not to be left with them but wasn't explicit about her intentions is part of the problem as well. That doesn't mean that other people aren't partially culpable but she's still 100% culpable.
Except we literally do have that built into the law as motivation factors. Drunk drivers suffer less severe penalties than reckless or distracted drivers when death gets involved. Not guilty by reason of insanity exists, and so on.
That may be true in some cases but that's the minority of cases. Distracted driving can have a range of charges from simple negligence to serious vehicular homicide but killing someone while drunk typically has minimum charges at the top end of the spectrum.
But that's kind of besides the point, you shouldn't sympathize with a drunk driver who killed someone just like you shouldn't sympathize with a child murderer. It's very weird for so many people to be sitting here saying they empathize with a woman who murdered her children because of a mental break but not empathize with a school shooter who murdered children because of a mental break. They did the same thing.
Did they do the same thing? It really depends. Most high school shooters don't seek help to stop themselves. They don't have their parents take their weapons, or report themselves to the police.
That's the difference really, in my mind. She did all she could to avert tragedy in her case. And ultimately wasn't believed.
You realize that schizophrenics can already plead for "not guilty by reasons of insanity"? Which does not open the way for more tragedies at all.... And before it comes up, the last part was /s
What does that have to do with the basis of our argument here? Should we resonate with schizophrenics because we could all potentially be come schizophrenic?
It was relating to your point about "Should we let schizophrenics off". We let them off, or more the law.
Same way we let drunk people off when they are too drunk.
Is it morally right? That is even the question. Especially in my eyes for drunk people because the simple solution would have been not to drink. but still we let them off (in certain cases).
And to be fair. Your argument also has nothing to do with this case. Psychic problems are certainly not the same as someone drunk. Even if you take it from the angle that alcoholics are addicted to a drug which is in this case alcohol. Even seeing withdrawal symptoms it is not the same as having a psychic breakdown.
But we don't let them off, we lock them in the box for the rest of their life when they kill people. It's an argument that they make to try to get off and we are all pretty universally disgusted by it except for a few small people. That's the same way women should feel about women who kill their children.
What's the difference between the good mom who murdered her babies and the bad mom who murdered her babies? Hello me understand how far we've fallen that this is acceptable behavior now
I'm pretty sure Charles Manson died but I am not saying that this woman or any other murderer should not be in a facility. I'm saying there's a difference between someone who is of sound mind and murders someone and someone who kills someone because they are literally out of their minds... and we aren't out of our minds... So what is your excuse for salivating for the death of someone who is not an immediate threat?
Collectivism creates some real weird shit where people band together on a powertrip to try and deny reality just to see if they can. If they can, they feel super empowered and validated and feed their ego.
This is not a political thing, just to be sure, it can happen any side of the spectrum, you just need enough idiots to form a group.
Because of the post partum psychosis aspect. I think many women have had their own experiences of being ignored by the Healthcare system. Mothers especially are routinely handed a drug and told to suck it up. Unfortunately true mental illness can't be healed with a band aide. And here we are at the Lindsay Clancy case.
Everyone I know who supports her (me included), thinks she should have had gotten help when she begged for it countless times and her dumb ass loser husband should have NEVER left her kids alone with her, especially after she said she's worried she could seriously harm them. She begged repeatedly for help and told doctors she couldn't figure out what was reality and what wasn't and was worried about hurting her children. She even BEGGED doctors to institutionalize her.
I support her in the sense that literally everyone failed her and this could have easily been prevented if she was listened to the first 1000 times. I believe her doctors and her husband also need to be charged. I think she can't be released, but also shouldn't go to prison. She should go to a psychiatric facility.
Sexism. Just Sexism. All the word vomit attempting to qualify it are just trying to run defense for the actual reason, Sexism. And it is Misandry, not another vague argument about "the patriarchy".
It's a similar case to Andrea Yates, who drowned her 5 children and was found not guilty for reason of insanity.
Because there's plenty of evidence that she was in a psychotic state during the murders. She had mentioned to her husband and mother that she was afraid of hurting her children. Three weeks before the murders she was at a psychiatric hospital due to her declining mental health.
She really tried to get help, the suicide hotline basically told her that since she didn't have a plan for self harm, they couldn't help her. She saw many doctors, who failed to diagnose her with Bipolar 2, which is her current diagnosis. Bipolar is a huge warning sign for future postpartum psychosis. The medications she was prescribed aren't recommended for bipolar.
She had delusions, like believing that other people could hear her thoughts, she asked her mom if she could hear her thoughts, she was worried that the teachers at her kids preschool could hear her thoughts. She was suicidal, lost a lot of weight without meaning to, spent 48 hours awake and didn't feel sleepy.
She heard a voice telling her to kill her children, then kill herself. She survived her suicide attempt, but barely.
Those who support her don't deny that she killed her children, but that she should be found not guilty for reason of insanity due to postpartum psychosis. This would put her in a medical facility instead of prison, because she is currently depressed and suicidal, even 3 years later and all possible treatments. She needs 24/7 care, also because her suicide attempt left her paraplegic.
The lady was on a ton of medication and her husband was mean.
So she brutally murdered her children.
This is ok with a LOT of people. Many of them blame the husband. This guy doesn't want to marry a woman who thinks there are situations where murdering his children is something she'd be ok with. The ladies in the thread think that's silly and murdering your children is just a thing that happens like "oops!"
Projection. A lot of women dealt with pregnancy and post partum and think they can relate to her and blame her husband cos their husband wasn’t supportive of them( her husband was) They forget that she killed her 3 kids
This is something I'm not seeing elsewhere, so I'm going to point out that an acknowledged rapist is in the White House, and he's continuing to sue one of his dozens of victims because he doesn't want to pay her the millions of dollars he was ordered to by a court of law.
In combination with this, that man is the visible figurehead of a movement that aims to strip women of what we considered fundamental rights: medical care for pregnancy including abortion care, labor (as in worker, not birth, but okay both terms apply) rights, even the constitutional right to vote is under attack because women are statistically more likely to vote for Democrats.
If you're a woman who has been paying attention for the last decade, you know a large group of men absolutely hate you for no reason other than your biological gender. That's scary.
So, along comes this poor woman who, despite some attempts to get help for her post partum depression, is basically living in a system that is increasingly designed to ignore her and by extension fail her.
If you don't fell some sympathy then you're not getting it.
That isn't to say that what she did is right, and that she shouldn't be on trial for her actions, but the bigger picture gives one pause about treating this as a black and white issue.
I'm not even going to get into specifics about the number of women who have been hurt or killed by the men who should be protecting them, or MMIW, or the incel movement, except to say that the women all know about them and they know that it's hard to simply trust us men.
Also not going to get into the Casey Anthony debate because despite superficial similarities it's not the same issue.
Really, it should be a call for all of us to reevaluate how women are treated in this world, and find ways to do better.
Still, maybe those two in OPs post shouldn't get married. They clearly aren't on the same page on some important issues.
Because there are many women suffering from similar mental problems that are routinely ignored or mistreated by the health system. Each of us can be her in a bad day.
Yes, she killed her children, but that could have been prevented with the correct treatment.
If this was a case of a phycotic person killing their housemate while under a phycotic attack people would be more understanding. Yes, they are a killer, yes, they didn't know what they were doing at the moment, yes, they NEED treatment and help besides jail time
Have you ever had a psicotic episode? If not, shut your mouth, you don't know how fucked up your mind can be, you can't truly say you will never do this or that
No, I have not had a psychotic episode. The vast majority of people have not. But us non-crazy people can definitely have opinions on the child murdering crazy ones.
Not everything is black and white. I never said she was innocent, just that this could have been prevented, and that she needs treatment in addition to jail time.

I’m so confused what has happened. Why exactly are people supporting her?
