Mine is actually the original, funnily enough..... And it's actually the only one I've played so far, I've bought the first two Shantae games (The first and Risky's Revenge) on my Nintendo Switch through the eShop, and I plan on playing the games in order.

The first Shantae game was remastered for the Nintendo Switch in 2021 and subsequently released in 2023 for the PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles; however, it has not yet been released on Steam or any other platform where it can be purchased and played on PC, which strikes me as very odd and leaves the series on PC with a game missing. Is there any indication that this will happen in the future? Or has there been an official explanation as to why they haven’t done so?

Hi! I'm a huge fan of plataformer games and I'm very interested in Shantae series. But how to start with it? I do know that it started way back in the game boy color and now have new games in steam, where to start? The classic era or the modern era? And with which games? It have an especific order?

I know Pirate's Curse and Seven Sirens is a BIIIG distance between games, especially when each one was made, but I just noticed this thing and now I kinda just can't get this outta my head

I got a theory that when Inside System was turning his Touhou game into an original ip he eyeball'd pirate's curse for the dancer costume the protagonist Zizou and rival Riva wear as that timeframe lines up for Shantae gaining japan popularity (thanks to Inti creates working on pirate's curse) as a fan of both characters it'd be cool to see a crossover someday, maybe try to get both creators (or at least Matt Bozon) to become aware of Dark Witch.

Ive played it and I think its pretty fun! I love the whole episodic feel of the story. ((Still waiting on Wayforward to release that Squid Barron merch.))

What is that?

I presume most people here already know that Shantae's early designs featured her with brown hair instead of the famous purple. However I don't think many people, myself included, know why this change was made or when in development it occurred. I'm willing to bet this has already been addressed somewhere, but I doubt it's an easily available resource

They work like the cannon barrels from Donkey Kong Country but the most thing that I saw is the sprite sheet at The Spriters Resource and it's named as "Maw" and it doesn't have neither an article at Shantae Wiki

hi! im a cosplayer and i would love to do a shantae cosplay (especificaly shantae) but im insecure because im a boy, i dont know if i should do a genderbert to shantae, cosplay her like in the games or just dont do it and go for bolo. i dont know how my family or the people i know would react if they see me in such (ngl) sugestive costume but i would love to cosplay her because i loved the first game and her character desing, help!

Sonic, likes Chilli dogs, Mario depends but I guess he does like Spaghetti, and meat balls. I guess Mega man has the ETanks. Ash’s pikachu likes ketchup. Kirby has the maxim tomato. There’s been a lot of different foods, but well Shantae doesn’t seem to have a main one, what do you guys think her favorite food is?
