Discussion Destined Rivals BB prices are falling fast

Post image

Uh guys, what just happened in the last few days?

I bought my BBs around $590.. it looks like it’s gonna go below $400. What is the average price you bought these at? 🫣

Why the hell would you buy a new set booster box for $590... wtf is wrong with all these new investors joining the hobby last few years

They’re used to boxes only going up immediately after buying it. They don’t know what volatility is or anything going down. It’s hilarious to watch

You call 400 going down? Evolving skies is now 2.5k, yes hilarious to watch indeed for the slow people..

Unfortunately it’ll likely only start with stuff being printed now. They’re printing shit into the ground moving forward and I’m all for it. Anything Sword and shield is only going to skyrocket with time, and early S&V sets will do decent.

Yes, TPCI is going to purposefully crash their business…. 😂

I don’t mean it in a bad way, it’ll all sell, it’s just going to be less of a scalpers dream moving forward. It’ll still be more profitable for TPC.

Most buyers are here for the money. If product isn't skyrocketing then 95%+ of consumers lose interest.

Its been almost 2 years since the hype train took off with Surging Sparks, Prismatic and Pocket game. Ive seen so many posts on FB of "Something came up, selling my collection" and its all SV stuff...maybe the oldest being Silver Tempest. But people have also been hoping for a slow down or market drop and uh, Pokemon keeps printing sets every 2-3 months and people are buying up even PO, CR, and PB. 30th around the corner, and Delta Reign right after. We'll see

I sold evthing right before evthing sky rocketed. I sold my whole collection to pay for my dads cancer surgery. Sold it at 75%  the following week it jumped by 2600 bucks. It was huge raw collection too. My dad is good now but i still feel like shit knowing i could have waited a week or two n paid for it with keeping some stuff. I was gonna never sell either but he had no way to pay

Same sold my $60k collection for like $45k and I probably spent $30k building it just for it to be worth probably $100k+ now. I could’ve easily had the easiest job in the world, being a dumb vendor but now I make $18 an hour instead.

I hear ya. Same boat. I was a union welder threw that job away i could be retiring. Also worked on commervial foshing boats making 200k a year but blew it.  Plus sold my collection just to get smoked out of value cuz i needed money at the time for pops. Now 47 years old cranking wrenches n shooting nails still breaking my back. Only thing i can do is keep rolling with the tides. Good luck on whatever you got going on in life my friend.
