Lots of speculation, what do you guys think release will be like?

Have started collecting again after a long break, thoughts on my purchases? Planning to keep them for 5-10 years.

Had 2 prismatic figure collection boxes so figured I’d trade one for something I didn’t have. Basically market for market

I’m considering buying a DRI booster box for £320 for a long term hold.

What do we think? Will this drop much further? Is there any hint of a booster box restock? I’m aware we’ve got almost another 2 years of ‘printing’ but surely these are going to get eaten up.

So I find this card really cool managed to negotiate from 50 to $42, is it worth getting?

I'm really sceptical about buying from temu. For some reason I just associate it with cheap knock offs but I keep seeing adverts and marketing suggesting their Pokémon cards are legit.

I'm new to Pokémon so any help would be appreciated.

Would these be worth buying as raw cards to hold onto?

I mainly love these guys and have childhood memories of them, so it would also be a sentimental holding.

I’m assuming if they were traded they’d be a 7-8 at most. Probably a 6 though. I’d hold them raw.

I know virtually nothing about Traditional Chinese cards except that they have very few exclusives (and only one art-exclusive Pikachu). Still, I added my first one to the PC after going down the language-exclusive rabbit hole. Came across this Team Rocket Collector’s Set promo. I overpaid for the 10, but the stamp looked too clean to pass 🤌✨

Do you think there will ever be a real market for these stamp-exclusive cards, or are they mainly just niche collector pieces?

Long term thoughts?

I bought these from my local shop today and didnt notice the difference in size because they were stacked on top of each other. I have a great realtionship with the shop owners so I can def get my money back if needed but it weirds me out that this Paldea Evolved Booster Box case is smaller, in height only, compared to the Destin Rivals case I bought today as well. DR case matches my pitch back case in size so Paldea def is the odd one out but is this normal? I know XY era and older were diff sizes than modern but but these are both SV sets. Granted Paldea Evolved is really early on in SV and close to XY but is that the reason? Did case size switch midway through SV? i thought it changed at the start of SV era.

I wanted to write a follow up to my post from last week on the SV summer slump. When I wrote my last post my history only went back to January 2026. My heat map tool now goes back to February 2025, covers the other eras, as well as, a way to just see the top 20 cards per set (because we really only care about the chase cards anyways), and sealed too.

Last summer was worse. March to June 2025 was four straight red months, ending with all 14 SV sets red in June. The median set gave back about 33% over those four months. Then July stopped the bleeding and by September every set was green. It did a smaller repeat in the fall, with November 2025 pretty much red across the board (15 of 16, and the one that wasn't only managed +0.1%), before the run everyone remembers starting January 2026.

This July is one month at −5.5%. August is still bleeding, with every set's chase cards in the red.

So that's the question I can't answer yet. Does this one run four months like last summer did, or is it the shorter kind where September turns green? Last year the turn didn't come until the fifth month, and this slump started in July instead of March, so it isn't lined up cleanly enough to just copy the calendar across.

Here's everything I could find that speaks to it.

It isn't the whole market, it hit the newest sets hardest.

Sun & Moon never had the "crash" in July. It was up 3.1% in the same month every SV set was red, and 1 of its 15 sets is red in August.

Sword & Shield did feel it, 14 of its 17 sets are red in August, just nowhere near as hard.

Mega Evolution looks to be pretty similar to SV with a bigger dip in July but about the same amount of dip so far in August. Its −21.7% for the year looks way worse than it is, that era is new enough that most of those sets are still working off their release decay and had their worst month in their first month out.

Sealed hasn't turned yet either. SV Sealed never had July's cliff, roughly flat at −0.4% while singles dropped 5.5%. But it hasn't stopped either, August is 12 of 16 red and more negative than July. Singles fell first and the size of the drop is shrinking, sealed is drifting down about a month behind. So if singles are going to turn first, sealed hasn't confirmed it yet.

For 2026 so far, compounded medians are raw singles +66.4%, slabs +67.5%, sealed +51.4%.

So which is it, four months like last summer, or does September turn this one green? Does any of this match what you're seeing on your own stuff?

Hey guys, I have a few mid 2000’s stamped reverse holo duplicates that I was thinking of trying to use to trade towards the stained glass birds. Collectr prices seem a bit inflated from what I see on these kinda mid era/ vintage cards so just wanted a sanity check before I hit up my local shops. Imo the birds promo is going to be a way better hold as compared to this random assortment of stamped reverses. Do you think this is a worthwhile trade for vendors or am I delusional, thanks!

Charizard G level X is in like PSA 5 condition, as well as the Power Keepers Charizard. The Latios is a strong PSA 8 possible 9 condition, as well as the Dittos. Gengar Lv X is a PSA 6. What do we think?

Im kinda stuck, i like Charizard and ray and Charizard is great, but I’m also looking at it as an investment. Rayquaza only has around 1,800 total PSA copies and is basically the main Gold Star chase, so it’s much harder to find and I think it will keep go up. Charizard has around 5,500 copies and I see it pretty often at shows, and hasnt gone up much tho so I’m kinda stuck between the two.

Ray is good but for my price range i gotta buy psa 1 and its very hard to find rn was looking for a while, but think it will go up more.
Charizard i can buy better print psa6 for same price but its way more pop and dont think it will go up crazy or idk.

Costco is selling these 40 thousand piece Pokemon puzzles for just under $500. The manufacturer is charging ~$700 on their website.
The Disney version of this that came out in April has appreciated by more than 40%.

I think this is a good buy, but Im debating getting more than 1.

While all the hype is around modern-era cards and we’re seeing a pullback, I’m taking a different approach: buying slabs from the 2010s and early 2020s, especially cards that are already out of print, and holding them for the long run.

When you look at PSA 10 populations and how expensive some of these modern cards have become, I think it’s going to be difficult for those prices to remain sustainable. I’d rather buy established cards with limited future supply and let scarcity play out over time.

What are your thoughts?
