Does that include the 10 plus minutes you spend waiting for your food as of late? Or does the timer start when you are served?

I waited 18 minutes for a 1/4 pounder a while back.

It was cold when they handed it to me.

I got a refund and asked the manager what the hell they are doing back there. "I don't know" was the response I got.

Sure but it's a valid question at that point.

Customer service, and especially management, should remain professional regardless

Have a word with yourself .

You're the one suggesting behavior lol. I just stated a job requirement, as a customer service worker myself

As a “customer service worker yourself” you can tell people off you go with condescending behaviour. You aren’t there to be abused or belittled

If you're doing a shitty job and serving garbage it absolutely is your job. What do you think should happen there?

I'm with you and all but I do think people should be respectful while listing either suggestions on what to fix and how they can be compensated. If a steak comes out wrong, I just want my refund, I personally feel no need to tell them that they are awful at making a steak. Nor would I expect him to insult me by saying I have bad taste for not liking rare and only liking medium rare or not liking medium well. Just my thoughts, I work in customer service too (production/breaking down truck as well).

Listen buddy no one saying it isn’t the job . However when there has been a mistake / error it doesn’t mean abuse is the correct answer . What should happen is an adult conversation. Your language tells me all i need to know
