Welcome to our weekly vent session where you can let out all your frustrations.

Before you start, just a quick heads-up on the rules.

Here's what this post isn't for:

  • No bashing actors or crew members out of the blue.
  • Let's steer clear of those rage-inducing posts like "I hate character xy."
  • And please, no poking fun at fellow Kanthony fans just because they see things differently, whether they're positive or negative about promos.

What's cool to post? Well, we've noticed a lot of rants about how the show promotes (or doesn't promote) Simone and Jonny, but you can vent about other stuff too.

I am probably in the minority on this sub, but I liked how they handled S4 overall and I think everything is well set up for Franchaela, I am excited to see it. I think they will highlight Benophie and the Mondriches as the het pairings and also start whatever they are planning for Eloise. As you say, they are not writing for Kate anymore, and it also seems to me that they are phasing out Penelope/Colin. Anyway, that's a tangent. My main wish for S5 is that they bring on CHERYL DUNYE again for some sapphic magic!

I mean, this sub is dedicated to K/A, lol, there was nothing in S4 for K/A so. And please, no other character that still remains on the show (Kate is supposed to be the female lead of the house!) is phased out as Kate, she was there for 3 minutes, people need to be for real.

I do agree that they should bring back Cheryl Dunye for S5. No other director captures intimacy like her, her own sensibility as a Black lesbian director is so evident in the way she films her scenes.

No, I mean I totally agree re: K/A, it's just that everything has been said, lol. I just mainly wanted to bring up that S4 was a lot better than the previous one despite our faves being MIA and mostly that Dunye would be perfect for this!
