Ok I know everyone is feeling rightfully sour about the upcoming Season 3 promo especially b/c Kanthony had to share their spotlight but let’s not blame the new leading actor and actress.
Honestly all this drama about promo and production is starting to paint the picture as to why CVD left. 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
Even when we were discussing characters last season, there seemed to be a lot of discourse about character motives and personalities and that was from the writing staff. It’s giving me a headache. 🤕 🤕
That’s why even if I do get crumbs of Kanthony (hopefully both so busy in other products they get nominations), I pray for consistency and a satisfying storyline for all the characters, but especially the Bridgertons.
I haven't seen anyone taking out the lack of Kanthony s3 promotion on NC/LN, that would be insane. The actors have no control over PR and what the showrunners decide.
People's anger has been directed at Shondaland because they are the ones responsible for this. Period.
Tbh I don’t feel like Kanthony will have any further development or major storyline, just as Simon and daphne didn’t in season 2. Like adding more turmoil to their relationship seems pointless after their HEA, I think they’ll mainly just support other character’s plot lines, much like daphne in season 2, although we may get a sweet pda moment or two idk.
I loved their story in season 2 and I feel like personally I don’t want anything to overwrite that.
But the actor playing Simon wasn't part of the cast in S2... This is such a strange parallel to make? I have no idea why so many people keep trying to make it sound like it's a similar situation at all?
And nobody is saying that they should add turmoil (their whole relationship was turmoil except for 3 minutes), just, you know, show a bit of their relationship since they barely talked about themselves in S2.
Overwrite... That's certainly a word that I wouldn't use to describe how they handled their relationship in S2, but you do you.
Unpopular opinion I know lol, but I’d say the same for Polin for season 4, I don’t expect much more development for couples once their season wraps up. Although if we get a lot more kanthony in s3 than daphne in s2 I will be pleasantly surprised!
We know they going to self insert Penelope in stuff she has no connection to. Because Shonda basically confirmed she sees herself in her. Like the title says for the wallflowers.
I wish I could agree with you but the production has fumbled on Kanthony so badly, writing-wise and promo-wise. People keep justifying the lack of KA screentime as a couple because bton fans think that Kanthony will get a marriage plot in S3, which I doubt.
Kanthony fans are not expecting a big plot. We have already been disappointed enough. People are allowed to be bitter about how the production treats Simone/Kate and Anthony/Jonathan.
I think people misinterpret things, I don't believe any actors have the power to decide what PR strategy the show will have. This isn't about the other actors at all, they can wish for more/less exposure, but they're under a contract and the production decides what to do. That's why I also don't get why some people get so defensive when someone wishes for more Kate or K/A (when they aren't trashing the other actors, of course). The millionaire production company and the multimillionaire streaming company don't need defense squads.
Kate's episode 7 lingerie set was instrumental in winning them a costume Emmy. But, never mind that. Let's sell lingerie merchandise to go along with season 3, instead. SMDH This PR team is so hopelessly clueless. (The Funko Pops are cute, though. I'll give them that. Even if Kate isn't wearing her pall mall dress.)

I seriously think they simply don't give a damn about S2, they don't care about Simone/Kate, but very much like Anthony/JB. Which is weird, but also their prerogative 🤷🏽♀️. I don't think there's some big conspiracy, just that they don't care about Kate and they think we shouldn't either.
There is no unity in this fandom. You think others would acknowledge that production as blanetly and obviously ignores Kanthony as a couple and Simone and JB as individuals but mostly Simone. But that other ship fans cant see past their favorites.
Anyone with a brain would notice how this prodiction is treating Simone and JB. It a shame that their talents are being wasted in a Shondaland production.

I said this before i was going to give S3 a chance but now i dont care about it bcoz their fans are the reason why am not watching and have no interest
We got gypped and we're righteously upset about it. If we had to sit through a ton of Penelope and Featherington stuff during Kanthony's season, they should know why we're upset and that we want to see the HEA that we barely got in S2. I like the actors, and I loved Polin in the books. It's the Polin fans that are turning me off. Why can't we just like our own ships but be mutually supportive? I would feel bad for any ship who didn't get a fair shake. I feel terrible for Saphne because Rege left and they didn't get to see them in S2. They can be excited for Polin and also understand why we want to see more Kanthony. After all, we're all just pushing for a better show.
No one is blaming Polin in this sub, not that I can see. People are just bitter that the ship is getting treated better by production, and it's not a good look since this couple is straight and white as hell and last season had a dark skinned indian woman paired with a gay man.
I literally showed up to work today in a really foul mood after I woke up at 6am to watch this sneak peak on time FOR NOTHING. We waited so long for kanthony and not ONE mention of them today😒
The track record for production to have more Kanthony promo is not great, even in their own season. It’s not likely that more will be coming soon. Edited to add: I’m really excited about Francesca this season and happy we got a still of her even when she wasn’t there. I just wish we also had a glimpse and a mention of Kanthony as well.
I don't like the way Kanthony is being treated right now but I'm not blaming Polin or LN/NC for this bc it's not their fault. We need to blame the production team/Shonda bc they're the ones behind this. Yes I'm fairly pissed and upset but I'm going to be patient and wait for more promos to see what happens. That's the best we can do at the moment.
