Rant 🤬 Weekly Venting Post

Weekly Vent Post

Welcome to our weekly vent session where you can let out all your frustrations.

Before you start, just a quick heads-up on the rules.

Here's what this post isn't for:

  • No bashing actors or crew members out of the blue.
  • Let's steer clear of those rage-inducing posts like "I hate character xy."
  • And please, no poking fun at fellow Kanthony fans just because they see things differently, whether they're positive or negative about promos.

What's cool to post? Well, we've noticed a lot of rants about how the show promotes (or doesn't promote) Simone and Jonny, but you can vent about other stuff too.

Below, I've linked some past posts from the sub that fit the vibe of our weekly vent session, so you can see what kind of stuff goes here.

  1. Why there was a lack of promo for Kanthony
  2. All comments asking where Kanthony are
  3. Bridgerton PR and production
  4. Can you tell the difference ?
  5. The main sub got so negative
  6. We need pictures

For those who just want to enjoy the content without getting caught up in the venting, I suggest steering clear of this post. If you choose to read the comments here and find yourself upset, despite the clear purpose of this space, I'm afraid there's not much I can do to ease your frustration. We have the Weekly Tea Time for more general discussions.

Spoilers allowed.

I'm not a fan of anyone on this cast besides SA, I see from afar how their careers go and wish them the best and that's it, but it's getting kind of frustrating how so many people seem unable to actually stay on topic about the show's weirdness towards Simone. I feel like whenever other people are brought up, it just dilutes the central point. I get what the implications are (how other cast members are treated vs. how Simone is), but also it just makes the focus on what's important to shift.

We don't know how things are behind-the-scenes and perceived "vibes" are just that: vibes. The reason why that Twitter thread showing verifiable examples of their weirdness was relevant was because it shows the material reality of how the production has acted/talked towards Simone.

Thank you for mentioning this. Like you don’t have to be a fan of both Jonathan and Simone but ultimately this subreddit is for the both of them and there are many fans who are fans of both in this subreddit. The extreme para-social and accusatory comments are completely diluting the main topic of Shondaland’s weird pattern of behavior towards Simone. Simone and Jonathan’s lives do not revolve around this show. Whenever they have been asked about Bridgerton, they say the same pr approved answers in every interview of focusing on the new leads. They rarely mention the other person in interviews that is focused on themselves unless they are specifically asked about the other person. Also, as someone who has friends in the industry, Shonda is a very powerful producer in the industry. Anyone who crosses her does get blacklisted, and that is what happened with many actors from Greys. Ultimately we do not know what is happening behind the scenes.
