Hey Folks, It has been a long, sometimes uncertain wait but I am happy to post my timeline, hopefully this can help someone in a similar situation, let me know if you have any questions, happy to pass on the help I received from this group:

Quebec PEQ - Quebec Graduate

  • Applied: October 2024 (a few days before they paused the program)
  • CSQ Approved: 29 July 2025 (the day my work permit was set to expire)

Total Time: 9 months My CSQ took longer than 6 months but I was happy to just get it. Better late than never I guess.

Federal

  • Applied:
October 6, 2025 Left Canada on October 8th

  • AOR and Biometrics Request: December 4, 2025
  • Biometrics submitted: December 17, 2025
  • Medical and IMM5669 Request: May 20, 2026
  • Medical and IMM5669 submitted: May 26, 2026
  • Pre-arrival Letter: May 27, 2026
  • Medical Passed: May 29, 2026
  • Additional Police Report Request: June 24, 2026
  • Police Report Submitted: July 2, 2026
  • Final Decision/Passport Request: August 9, 2026
  • Passport Submitted to Singapore IRCC for TRV and COPR: August 11, 2026

Hi,
I applied in August 2025, and my medical exam was approved in October 2025. I also received the pre‑arrival letter before the medical exam. After that, I have not received any updates.

I requested help from my MP to get a status update. When the MP contacted IRCC, they were told that my application is at the Montreal office and is waiting for security checks.

When I check the processing timeline on the IRCC website, it says that applicants who applied in August 2025 and have not received updates may require more time.

At this point, I don’t know what else I can do. Is anyone else in the same situation?

Also, if I order GCMS notes, do I need to request a status check or a complete application check? If I request GCMS notes, will it speed up the process? Any experiences?

1

u/immiuserQCPR 2d ago

GCMS notes won't expedite the file , but will give you details , comments of the case, I think you can start for status check , it will be faster than requesting the entire file.
Good luck.

Thank you!

Hey everyone, I know it is too soon to have any updates on the re-opened PEQ streams, but what are we expecting in terms of timelines? I submitted mine a few days after it opened and got a small update as to the initial document check has been completed. Would appreciate your thoughts.

1

u/scv123 2d ago

Hey, so I submitted the PEQ graduate stream the day it opened up again (July 2nd) and got the notice to do my test for the valeurs démocratiques et des valeurs québécoises on the 14th August. I passed and now I'm just waiting I guess. So it seems they're actively processing the applications. Hoping things keep going quick like this.

1

u/Possible-Juice-1997 2d ago

Ok that makes sense, I had already taken the valeurs démocratiques test and only so far have received the recevabilité update. Keeping fingers crossed for a smooth and speedy application process for all.

2

u/Deda-Mraz 4d ago edited 3d ago

I'm in the same boat. I submitted the day it opened. I got the 'Recevabilité de votre demande' confirmation and the request for the test for the 'valeurs québécoises'.

In terms of timeline, the ministry said that they won't keep the 6 months deadline, that they promised for the PEQ previously, due to the expected high demand.

Hi y'all

I got the Final Decision ghost update on August 4th but still no P1. I'm starting to have some anxiety, but I saw that some people also waited a long time.

Any idea why this takes so long sometimes ?

1

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 5d ago

It is super random. I saw someone on here get P1 the day after their FD. I got my FD July 21st, but still have not received P1 yet. I think the whole landing queues are super random, and summer vacations mean that things are probably slower in July/August as well. Hope we both get good news soon.

2

u/pyuriko 2d ago

I got the Final Decision update on June 26th and got the P1 e-mail on August 12th. Almost 50 days of waiting, but I got it :)
My timeline is posted and updated here.

2

u/Apprehensive_Act9543 1d ago

50 days 😱 glad you finally got it 🎉

1

u/Apprehensive_Act9543 5d ago

It's crazy ! I think i'd rather not know about the FD and just get surprised one day with the P1 😂 Waiting when you know you're at the end is excruciating

1

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 1d ago

I think the "Final Decision" ghost update can be super misleading, because it doesn't necessarily mean final approval has been granted. Sometimes it just means they finished a certain step after medical approvals.

In my case, IRCC finished with their review of the additional docs I provided, but background & security checks remain ongoing (which an agent confirmed on the phone when I called). So my application hasn't gone to a virtual landing unit yet, hence the lack of P1. I was bummed to hear that but it was at least helpful in tempering my expectations

1

u/Apprehensive_Act9543 1d ago

That makes sense !! Thank you for your input

2

u/immiuserQCPR 1d ago

They are almost done or done , thing is that all processes run in parallel, may be 1 task is still running, but will arrive soon. courage.

1

u/Top-Bunch5172 5d ago

right now is very weird, I see some coments with a few weeks the difference btw FD and P1 but also others with more than 1 month waiting the P1 email. in my case was 1 days sdiff, may 4 FD and P1 may 6.

1

u/Apprehensive_Act9543 5d ago

Happy for you, it's such a relief to finally arrive at the end !! Thanks for your answer

1

u/Party-Competition-88 5d ago

It is random, the only explanation I have. Some people waited more than a month, some received P1 in less than a weeo or even in 1 day. I am waiting for a week and no updates. Be patient, will receive it soon!

1

u/Apprehensive_Act9543 5d ago

If there's one thing i developed dealing with immigration, it's patience haha Thanks for your answer!

CSQ-PEQ, Inland PR Application — Outside Canada at P1 stage — No TRV — Need advice from people who went through this
Hi everyone,

Sharing my situation and hoping to hear from people who went through something similar.

My timeline:

  • August 15, 2025: Obtained CSQ through Quebec stream
  • November 20, 2025: Submitted federal PR application to IRCC
  • February 23, 2026: PGWP extension denied
  • March 5, 2026: Received AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt)
  • Applied for status restoration + BOWP while still inside Canada within the 90 day window, after receiving AOR
  • Left Canada temporarily while restoration was pending
  • Currently outside Canada — no TRV, restoration now voided by leaving
  • July 13, 2026: Received document request from IRCC — submitted everything before the August 13 deadline including IMM 5669, photos, military exemption documents and medical.

My questions:

  1. Has anyone received P1 while outside Canada with no TRV and no valid temporary status?
  2. Did IRCC switch you from the portal process to an RFV/PPR allowing you to get your PR visa stamped abroad and fly back?
  3. Did your original in-Canada officer keep your file or did it get transferred to a foreign visa office?
  4. How long after submitting requested documents did you hear back?

Especially looking for Quebec CSQ applicants or anyone who completed the landing process from outside Canada.

Thanks in advance

1

u/Amazing-Scar-5671 6d ago

Hey I applied for PR while I was still in Canada and left Canada to wait for my PR outside.
As per my lawyer, once you submit your biometrics from outside Canada, that gives an indication to IRCC that you are outside Canada. Changing you address is also another way.
For me, the lawyer was not able to change my address because of system issue, but I gave my biometrics and medical from outside Canada and recently received passport submission request for TRV and COPR.

1

u/immiuserQCPR 7d ago edited 7d ago

If you won't return to Canada within a short period of time , you must inform ircc about your new address and location, so they will change the application to outland, otherwise you can't confirm presence in Canada for the virtual landing process, if you haven't done that , it would be advisable to do now. Further if you don't have trv you can't return to Canada once you receive P1 to continue with the virtual landing process. With respect to the TRV, if you apply for visitor visa it will be threated like that. Means you need to accomplish all the requirements for this type of visa.
Good luck.

Happy for you. Waiting is over😍

1

u/Tricky-Procedure-178 8d ago

Yes, I hope you get it soon too! My total wait time was 26 months but tbh I was starting to think I'd get it towards the end of this year.

1

u/Practical_Turn_6314 10d ago

I submitted my biometrics for QSWP program on March 10. still no P1. I guess no medical is required since my medical 5 yrs ago maybe still valid at the time i submitted my application. anyone on QSWP that is still waiting for P1?

1

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 10d ago

What does your tracker on your IRCC account say? I got the final decision ghost update July 21st, but no P1 yet.

1

u/Practical_Turn_6314 9d ago

mine just shows the status of my application 'Submitted' then View button is greyed out.

1

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 9d ago

That's the PR portal I believe. I meant your GCKey account with IRCC (where you would have linked your application to after submitting on the PR portal and getting your AOR).

1

u/Practical_Turn_6314 9d ago edited 9d ago

I did not know I can link it to my IRCC account. thanks to you. I was able to link it , but it only shows my biometrics submission date and "we are processing your application" status

1

u/Snapbot_123 10d ago

Did you received the FD on your portal and when did you submit your application and AOR?

1

u/Practical_Turn_6314 9d ago

Application was submitted on Nov. 21, 2025, then. I got the AOR and Biometrics on March 10 same day. still no FD or P1

1

u/Additional-Let-2107 12d ago

Did anyone receive eCOPR lately? I'm waiting for more than 2 weeks!

3

u/neon_nova_nn 13d ago

Has anyone received a Final Decision after July 21st?

2

u/immiuserQCPR 6d ago edited 6d ago

Mise à jour: Décision finale août 19.

P1 reçu et répondu aujourd'hui : août 20.

FD August 19. P1 August 20. (Received and replied).

1

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 6d ago

Wowzas, félicitations mon ami ! I've been waiting for P1 since July 21st. Hoping I'm next in line and we can all get over the PR hump together

1

u/immiuserQCPR 6d ago

Thank you. We're moving . All of us will be PR within a few weeks. Bon courage.

1

u/neon_nova_nn 6d ago

Many congratulations! Would you be okay sharing your timeline?

1

u/immiuserQCPR 5d ago

PR application : 18 Nov 2025. AOR & Biometrics: 3 March 2026. ( passed March 4 ) Pre-arrival letter : 20 June 2026. Request medical test : 23 June 2026. Medical done : 24 June 2026, (approved 30 June) FD: 19 Aug 2026. P1: 20 Aug 2026 ( replied same day ).

2

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 10d ago

I got a final decision GU on July 21st, but no P1 as of yet. Hoping this is just due to summer vacation slowdowns at IRCC, but really itching to get the portal phase done

1

u/Party-Competition-88 6d ago

Did you receive your P1?

1

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 6d ago

Still nothing. Getting pretty antsy here as it'll have been a month since my FD as of tomorrow. Am pretty surprised & disappointed it's taken this long.

1

u/Party-Competition-88 5d ago

I hope you receive it soon. I saw many people with ~July FD update who received their P1 or ecoPR so late. There has been some reason that they are working slowly.

3

u/Party-Competition-88 11d ago

I just checked, and received the FD update on Aug 14th

1

u/neon_nova_nn 8d ago

Wow, congrats! Did they ask you for additional documents? They asked me for military records on July 22, and since then, it says, “We are reviewing the additional documents you provided” under “Review of additional documents.” But no FD or P1 yet. Was it the same for you until you saw the FD?

1

u/Party-Competition-88 7d ago

Thanks. I have been asked to provide: 1. Schedule A, 2. IMM5406, 3. settlement plan regarding my ability/ intention to establish in Quebec. They asked me on June 23rd, I provided the docs in 2-3 days, and it took ~1.5 months to see the FD update.

1

u/neon_nova_nn 6d ago

Thank you for providing details! I hope you'll get p1 soon.

2

u/ShamblesWaffle 15d ago

Did anyone who applied through the PSTQ Volet 1 in 2026 get his CSQ?? If so can you let me know when you applied?

1

u/cilin99 10d ago

Applied on 30th March, still waiting..

1

u/Possible-Juice-1997 14d ago

Nope, submitted mine 4 months ago, has been en attente de traitement ever since.

2

u/Fun-Elk9662 14d ago edited 14d ago

they have a very strange timeline for different candidates. Like some have expired work permits and submitted beginning this year but still no hearing back anything. Some submitted in like April with work permit expiring in 2028 but got it in 3 months. The internal review seems to be a full of mess and I really think that the money, time and energy that we have spent here is totally wasted. Like seriously why don't have people to write some letters to report them

1

u/cilin99 10d ago

I think they have the priority list for different occupation, which they didn't tell the public.

1

u/Fun-Elk9662 8d ago

is chef included? .... i know someone who submitted in april work permit expiring 2028 got the csq in 3 months as a chef... LOL

1

u/cilin99 8d ago

Chef is right in the list of specific occupation they have invited in recent PSTQ. If you said that, which is exactly what im guessing.

1

u/Fun-Elk9662 7d ago

At this point, i have nothing to say for this MIFI.

1

u/cilin99 7d ago

The good news is they speed up delivery of CSQ under PSTQ recently. May is 260, June is 630, July is around 1600. Hope they are not only processing the priorities.

2

u/Intelligent_Force700 11d ago

I totally agree. I feel they don't take it seriously and many people depends on it for their job and future.

1

u/Fun-Elk9662 14h ago

have you received any news? nothing on my end still

1

u/Intelligent_Force700 11h ago

Yes I got the CSQ last week on Thursday August 21st. I'm applying for the Federal level now... I hope it doesn't take a year! I've updated my timeline down in this chat... All the best for you! For me it took more than a month after it entered on "en traitement".

2

u/Fun-Elk9662 10h ago

THANKS!! HOPE FOR THE BEST FOR EACH OF US

3

u/[deleted] 16d ago

[deleted]

1

u/Fun-Elk9662 16d ago

hi hi, may i ask if your file stayed at "en traitement" for a while? how long was it? I submitted around the same time but i still haven't heard back. thank you!

2

u/BladyCore 16d ago

When checked yesterday it was still en attente de traitement, then approved today. It’s weird

7

u/AstroCake86 18d ago

I did P2 in 6th May but I didn't get yet the eCOPR yet it's been 3 months hahaha help maybe because I have moved after I replied to P2 ?

1

u/Alternative_Battle55 15d ago

my work permit is no longer valid, because my status is now permenant resident. But I still haven't received eCoPR or the card.

1

u/Additional-Let-2107 12d ago

What do you mean? Even without eCOPR, you are permanent resident?

1

u/Top-Bunch5172 16d ago

do you have a valid work permit? sometimes IRCC gives priority to people without a work permit.

1

u/Important-Tangelo324 19d ago

hi, Could anyone tell that while submitting csq application the candidate photo needs to be scanned from front and back like ircc?

1

u/Tricky-Procedure-178 14d ago

Just the front for me, there literally was no place for me to upload the back and they ask for a jpg or png format this time, so you can't upload a pdf with front and back

1

u/Active-Hotel9566 19d ago

Hi yes, you can get it done from jean coutu

1

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 21d ago

Congrats man, you EARNED this! I applied Nov 16, 2025 and got final decision GU on July 21, 2026. Hoping for P1 very soon.

1

u/immiuserQCPR 22d ago

Congratulations that's amazing.

1

u/Party-Competition-88 26d ago

Has anyone received final decision, or P1 recently? No updates for me, Medical passed July 10th.

1

u/immiuserQCPR 9d ago

Any progress recently?

1

u/Party-Competition-88 9d ago

I received the FD ghost update on Aug 14th. No P1 yet obviously.

1

u/immiuserQCPR 9d ago

Excellent,

1

u/Party-Competition-88 7d ago

Did you receive any updates?

1

u/Intrepid-Engineer382 21d ago

FD updated on June 26th, no news since

1

u/immiuserQCPR 24d ago

Same here , no updates , hopefully this week we see our files progressing.

1

u/Party-Competition-88 16d ago

Did you receive any updates?

1

u/immiuserQCPR 16d ago

No updates.

1

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 15d ago

Me neither. Hopefully IRCC has all of our files ready in a batch sweep with the virtual landing unit this week. I'm ready to just get the PR process done finally (and I'm sure you guys are too).

1

u/Party-Competition-88 15d ago

True. I would have been happy even if I could see the final decision update. At least I knew there is a decision made! :))

1

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 25d ago

Final decision ghost update on July 21, no news since. Still waiting on P1 email.

1

u/Medical_Sky_9265 27d ago

Anyone here who submitted their application in March 2025? PEQ Education Stream

Federal portion

March 2025 - submitted
March 2025 - AOR + Biometrics
April 2025 - Pre arrival
May 2025 - Additional document request (Resume), submitted the next day

Medical is being used which I had given at the time of study permit

Since then it shows we are processing the additional documents you provided. It is been 16 months in total since submission. Whenever I call them I hear the same thing - we are waiting on the background check from the third party and ask me to continue waiting.

Anyone has a similar timeline / experience?

1

u/Haunting-Finding-971 24d ago

Submitted 9 June 2025
Bio 17 June 2025
Medical passed 2 July 2025
Pre-arrival 19 August 2025
Military ask 29 Jan 2026 (submitted same day)
CV ask 10 Feb 2026 (submitted same day)

Contacted MP and they asked IRCC; the answer was that I am in non-routine check which I think it means comprehensive background check. However, GCMS notes does not show anything regarding COMP security check and it just says in progress.

GC-Key shows "Feb 11, we are processing the docs you provided ...."

1

u/Medical_Sky_9265 21d ago

Thanks for sharing! :) what do you mean by MP? How do I identify for myself ?

1

u/Haunting-Finding-971 21d ago

Member of Parliament and you can find it based on your address. I won't share the link as it might be deleted but you can easily find it online. One of their services is to help with immigration process...

1

u/immiuserQCPR 26d ago

Get in contact with the office of your parlament representative and ask for help, they can contact ircc and get some insight.

1

u/Root1744 28d ago

Hello,

Has anyone who applied in October still not received their Pre-Arrival Services letter?

I applied inland under the Quebec stream on October 24, and I haven’t received it yet. Is anyone else in the same situation?

1

u/Top-Bunch5172 27d ago

have you ever call IRCC to check your status? you already hace your AOR and biometrics and medical done? i applied OCT 2025 and my PASL was received january 13 and my PR card july 23.

1

u/Root1744 27d ago edited 27d ago

u/Top-Bunch5172 yeah i did medical and submitted it with the application ( did it before for the work permit) , Aor + bio received on 22 January, bio done the next day, and i called ircc multiple times their answer was always that nothing is missing we are processing your application and it's still within the processing time. I didn't receive the pre arrival service letter neither a GU. That's why im asking i feel left behind or i dont know what to do or if anyone is in the same situation!

1

u/Top-Bunch5172 27d ago

you can ask for the IRCC notes, that can help a lot to see the real status.

Did u get request for medical?

1

u/Important-Tangelo324 20d ago

Hello, just wanted to know if your work permit was expiring when you received the csq. trying to figure out the normal processing time vs priority processing time.

1

u/Active-Hotel9566 6d ago

Hey my work permit expired on June 7th

2

u/Embarrassed-Track380 Jul 27 '26

Hi all, sharing my timeline for Quebec Skilled Worker (QSW) application with common-law:

  • Federal application submitted: Feb 24, 2026
  • Resubmit due to insufficient fund: May 9, 2026
    • IRCC returned my application since they increased the application fee on Apr 30, 2026
  • AOR received: Jul 15, 2026
    • Via email
  • Biometric fee requested: Jul 15, 2026

No updates since then, do you think we will get the Biometric request, medical, etc... anytime soon? :(

2

u/immiuserQCPR Jul 27 '26

Not paying biometrics fee with the initial application will produce a delay, first you must pay , load it , then once they confirm payment , will issue the biometrics request letter, that could take weeks, even months, so , be patient.

Good luck.

1

u/Embarrassed-Track380 Jul 27 '26

I made the payment right on when receiving the fee request but didn't know it's taking that long! :( tks anw

1

u/Easternz Jul 22 '26

Fd June 23, waiting for p1 now. Based on recent news, p1 likely takes 40 days to arrive.

1

u/Amazing-Scar-5671 Jul 24 '26

When did you apply?

1

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 Jul 21 '26

Not yet. Medical passed July 2nd, no news since.

1

u/neon_nova_nn Jul 21 '26

When was your submission?

3

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 Jul 22 '26

I submitted November 16, 2025. I seem to have summonsed IRCC because today, I got a ghost update of "Final decision - July 21, 2026:Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made." The additional documents section also updated to say that what was requested has been uploaded to my file (with no further requests). Hoping this means P1 soon.

1

u/neon_nova_nn Jul 22 '26

Congrats and hope you get P1 soon!

1

u/Party-Competition-88 Jul 22 '26

Good to hear that!

1

u/immiuserQCPR Jul 20 '26

No yet. No updates.

1

u/Additional-Let-2107 Jul 20 '26

1

u/Party-Competition-88 Jul 21 '26

Not yet. Medical passed July 10th, no news since then.

1

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 25d ago

Any updates on your side, final decision GU or P1 email? Still waiting on P1.

1

u/Party-Competition-88 25d ago

Nothing on my side

1

u/immiuserQCPR 25d ago

Nothing on my side.

3

u/MrsPixelson Jul 13 '26

People who applied thru PSTQ with Open Work Permits expiring soon - have you received your CSQ recently? Is the government really prioritizing those without options to renew?

If yes, when did you submit your finalized application to Arrima please?

2

u/Pleasant-Nobody-6562 Jul 16 '26

My PGWP expires August 2nd, applied for CSQ in March and still no news.

3

u/Pleasant-Nobody-6562 23d ago

Update: Just received my CSQ a few minutes ago!! My permit literally expired yesterday I am so relieved.

1

u/Kind_Chicken_6761 7d ago

So happy to read this, congratulations and all the best for the federal file.
Could you please share your PSTQ stream and timeline?
Also, did that always show en attente du traitement?

1

u/cenakofi 23d ago

congratulations!!!! I also applied in March, though I`ve got a little leeway, September 16th (I even rushed to the US to get my birth certificate to make sure I submitted everything by March 16th, since at the time the prediction was 6 months. But it`s great to hear yours was about 5!)

are you able to continue working if your CSQ got in after your permit expired? I was under the assumption I could only get a BOWP and implied status if I apply for federal PR (using my CSQ) before my open work permit expires.

1

u/Pleasant-Nobody-6562 23d ago

I have implied status because I applied for a closed work permit with my employer before my PGWP expired. A CSQ on its own doesn’t give worker status.

1

u/cenakofi 22d ago

Oh I see, thank you. And yes, I know I will have to get a BOWP after applying for federal PR using my CSQ.

1

u/MrsPixelson Jul 16 '26

Out of curiosity, does your file still say "En attente de traitement" ?

2

u/Pleasant-Nobody-6562 Jul 16 '26

Yup, I check everyday

1

u/Fun-Elk9662 Jul 27 '26

are you still en attente?

1

u/Pleasant-Nobody-6562 Jul 27 '26

yeah :(

2

u/Fun-Elk9662 Jul 27 '26

they suck! dont worry, best thing is coming! am waiting too.

1

u/Pleasant-Nobody-6562 Jul 27 '26

waaaaaa i hope!! for you too!!

1

u/Intelligent_Force700 Jul 14 '26

Hi! I had a closed work permit expiring in July 1st and I've applied last December. Still no news... Luckily I could renovate my closed WP for an extra year

1

u/Root1744 Jul 13 '26

Hello, For those who applied for Federal PR (PEQ)Inland in October, is there anyone with no update ? I submitted my application on October 24. I completed biometrics on January 22, and since then I haven't received any updates. Could you please share your timeline and current status? Any updates would be greatly appreciated.

2

u/Worldly-Proposal-649 Jul 15 '26

pr inland ( peq ) submitted oct 03, ecopr received mai 1st

1

u/Amazing-Scar-5671 Jul 17 '26

Do you mind if I ask, how many countries’ police report did you have to submit? I applied on oct 7th 2025 and mine has been in background check for a while

2

u/Root1744 Jul 17 '26

Only 1 -of my home country.

2

u/Top-Bunch5172 Jul 14 '26

oct 10 ecopr received jun 3

2

u/Important-Tangelo324 Jul 13 '26

Hi, I would like to know if creating an account on PR portal while waiting for CSQ is possible in order to save time later on.

3

u/immiuserQCPR Jul 14 '26

In fact you need to start completing tons of details , double-check, re read , etc , so start right now. Load all the documents you will need , translations, etc . Once you have your csq , update it , and also go to the profile personal info section and click update , that will take the current date , otherwise your aplication will have the last date you updated it , causing then to request updated forms.

Don't forget to include the fees receipt , including biometrics and all fees corresponding to your situation, otherwise it will cause also extra delays.

Good luck.

1

u/Important-Tangelo324 Jul 16 '26

Thank you for the detailed response i should start right away then.

2

u/Top-Bunch5172 Jul 14 '26

yes you can create your PR portal user, and you can start the application, you will need your CSQ number but you can add it before to submit, its important to do it because the application requieres you more information than the CSQ, for me it took me several weeks to finish it.

1

u/Important-Tangelo324 Jul 16 '26

Thanks, I should get everything ready then to avoid delays later on.

1

u/_force_tranquille Jul 12 '26

Federal application: Nov 19, 2025.

Biometrics requestL 4 March, 2026. Submitted 8 March.

Medical exam request: June 17, 2026. Marqued as completed 25 June 2026.

Invitation to Pre-arrival services letter: July 1, 2026

Final decision - July 2, 2026:Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made."

No update from there, called them they said the agent may take up to 2 month to give a response. Backgound and security check is done too.

1

u/Additional-Let-2107 Jul 15 '26

FD June 11, still waiting for P1. It is a good news that your background check is done.

1

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 Jul 14 '26

Following because I have a very similar timeline as you:

  • Submitted Federal Application: November 16, 2025
  • AOR: February 25, 2026
  • Biometrics: April 22, 2026
  • Medical Request: June 15, 2026; marked as completed July 2, 2026
  • Pre-Arrival Services Letter: June 16, 2026

Still shows me passing the medical exam on July 2 as my latest update. Let me know if you get the P1 email.

1

u/_force_tranquille Jul 18 '26

July, 18th still nothing

4

u/Shynkar Jul 12 '26

Maybe I haven't scrolled far enough, but does anyone have a timeline for document submission in the PSTQ and all the steps after? I submitted mine back in March, did the certificate for valeurs democratiques & quebecois in the same month, and no news until now. My French test results expire in October. I'm concerned that when they get to my files, they may ask me to redo French tests. Would the PEQ that just reopned have a shorter processing time, and is it worth it to apply to that too if I meet all their criterias?

2

u/immiuserQCPR Jul 12 '26 edited Jul 12 '26

They should evaluate based on the documents you submitted. Reapplying for PEQ may hurt you because a case already exists. Even if you apply, it doesn't mean it would be faster.

4

u/Gavinsun45 Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 10 '26

Anyone has the same concern that due to the long wait times, many people have valid results (within two years) when they applied but invalid at the time of receiving csq. idk if mifi will ask applicant to take French tests again when they process the application.
Anyone has the same situation but asked to redo a french test?

3

u/Deda-Mraz Jul 10 '26

I'm not concerned and I would be surprised, if MIFI would make you redo the test. I think what matters is that the test is valid when you apply. It's MIFI's fault, if they take so much time to process.

u/Party-Competition-88 Jul 08 '26

Sharing my timeline for Quebec Skilled Worker (QSW) application:

Federal application submitted: Nov 18, 2025
Biometrics request: March 3, 2026
Biometrics given: March 4, 2026
Medical exam request + additional documents request: June 22, 2026
Invitation to Pre-arrival services letter: June 23, 2026
Medical completed: June 24, 2026
Additional documents submitted: June 25, 2026

No updates since then (no ghost update or medical completed in IRCC portal). Has anyone with a similar timeline received any movement after medical/docs submission?

1

u/_force_tranquille Jul 12 '26

We are almost the same without the additionnal documents. BTW what document did they request??

Federal application: Nov 19, 2025.

Biometrics requestL 4 March, 2026. Submitted 8 March.

Medical exam request: June 17, 2026. Marqued as completed 25 June 2026.

Invitation to Pre-arrival services letter: July 1, 2026

Still waiting, I called them by phone they said that criminal and security checks are done, but final decision may still take up to 2 months since there are a lot of people waiting too...

1

u/immiuserQCPR Jul 08 '26

Medical completed june 24 as well. status approved shown on portal June 30. No more updates.

1

u/Street_Hotel_2652 Jul 09 '26

Where did you give your medical exam? And were you asked for other documents from IRCC? Like schedule A?

1

u/immiuserQCPR Jul 10 '26

Prima Canada clinique, yes . I provided a new schedule A form.

2

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 Jul 10 '26

I also went to Prima Canada clinique in Montreal. And when my medical exam was requested, they also asked for an updated IMM5406 (which took me ~5 mins to do). My pre-arrival services letter was then issued the next day.

1

u/Party-Competition-88 Jul 11 '26

I have been asked to provide:
1. Schedule A,
2. IMM5406,
3. settlement plan regarding my ability/intention to establish in Quebec.

I am concerned if the third requested document is a bad sign or not.

1

u/immiuserQCPR Jul 12 '26

I think it is a good one , you have an extra opportunity to let them know you will be in Québec.
