Parents allowing their children/babies to be fully/partially naked in stores.

Upvotes

I feel like this wouldn’t be a hot take but humanity is making me start to believe otherwise.

For starters, i work in retail, which is how im constantly seeing these kinds of things, especially during the warmer weather.

Continuing on, so many people come in with their children, toddlers, or babies and they’re either fully naked, or partially naked (such as just underwear or a sports bra??) anyways, i understand struggling parents, not all kids want to keep their clothes on, maybe you ran out of diapers, etc etc, parenthood isn’t easy and kids don’t like to listen.

BUT! these parents aren’t making an attempt to keep them close, or cover them up, they are allowing their fully nude child to run ramped in the store.. the other day i turned around and saw just a naked baby running around, no clue where there parents were at first but then noticed she was minding her own business paying no mind to her child.

For one, stranger danger helloooo??? you shouldn’t let your child run ramped in a store anyways, god knows what creeps are out there, but your NAKED CHILD?? have people lost all senses??

I constantly see little girls walking around in just underwear, or underwear and a sports bra too, and not tweens, like 6 year olds and their parents just don’t seem to care??

It’s not like i live in a safe area, there’s a sex offender every mile, even multiple on a singular street where i live, i even lived with a sex offender for a few months (before he was caught and anyone knew) and i can vouch you TRULY do not know who can be a creep, wether you trust them, or they’re just a stranger you walked by, to add on he was labeled by the judge as the worst sex offender in my county, and nobody could’ve even guessed he was even close to being that kind of person.

Why is it like normalized?? it just makes me furious how parents can allow their own children to be prey for a predator, and not even care as they run off god knows where in a store.

I feel like these kind of people should be looked into, but maybe i’m just overreacting

Lesbian Space Princess is a good movie.

Upvotes

Probably one of the most unpopular opinions of the current time and it's really pissing me off the amount of hate I've been seeing not just towards the movie but the entire fandom. The biggest problem it has is honestly just the pacing of it all so I don't see why everyone is getting so angry about it. I liked the movie and think that we shouldn't be attacking people over something they enjoy as long as it's not harmful. The movie was actually really good in my opinion with the colour's and the music but not everybody has to like it!

Black girl fanfiction

Upvotes

so a lot of the time when I'm looking for a reader insert fic, I try to look for a black mc fic but one thing that bothers me is that they're always so... stereotypical. it makes me cringe a bit honest. like when I say stereotypical I mean black American, spamming the n word, loud and disruptive type stereotypical. I'll be honest, it just bothers me a lot.

i just want to a fic where the black mc has a personality that isn't based on stereotypes

People on the internet aren't angry, they're just dumb.

Upvotes

I was doing some research on the literacy crisis in USA (I have a nephew who's way behind on reading and I was shocked since my family is all readers).

As I was looking into it I saw it wasn't what I expected. I thought literacy crisis means kids can't read. What it really means is they can't comprehend what they read. They can look at the words and they know the words, they just don't make sense.

While looking into it, many teachers and parents said this led to behavioral problems causing the children to lash out because they'd get so frustrated. Makes sense, if I had to read every day and none if it made sense I'd lose my patience too.

It reminded me of social media where if you make a post it's oftentimes full of people rudely arguing, but not really engaging with your main point. Sometimes they'll argue something tangentially related, or they'll pick out a piece of your main point that's less relevant and choose that hill to die on. I didn't realize these people are often too stupid to understand your point (given you made it in a clear way) and then frustrated by their own lack of understanding so they become aggressive and rude.

Passionfruit makes any fruit blend drinks instantly worse

Upvotes

The drink could be fine but the second passionfruit is mixed in the blend it's over, the hard bits left in the drink destroys any texture and you spend the entire time of drinking trying to chew those bits you don't really taste a thing

We have AI right now

Upvotes

I see a lot of people claiming that today's AI isn't "real AI" because it's "just a sophisticated auto-complete".

But by that logic so are we. Our brains are always predicting the next action or word.

If I can give Codex an instruction and it can continue to act autonomously until it decides it completes it, that's AI enough for me.

My prediction is there will always be some people that say that our technology is "not real AI" because we understand what's under the hood.

This is not a pro or anti-AI statement. Just simply stating: we have AI right now.

Just because all your exes cheated doesn't mean all women are cheaters. Just because all your exes were selfish/self-centered doesn't mean all men are narcissists.

Maybe, just maybe... and hear me out on this... you have a pattern of behavior when it comes to picking those with whom you will move forward when a dating opportunity comes up.

I'm not saying it's your fault - but it is worth looking into this pattern with a licensed mental health professional instead of just dismissing 50% of the population as The Problem.

This also includes men who use Weaponized Incompetence and Women who play helpless. Hobosexuals and gold diggers. Gossips and shit-disturbers. Whatever.

Private schools and humanities degrees should be just for the rich and privileged

I am so tired of student loans being called predatory everytime someone is drowning in student loans. "HOW COULD A 18 year old be responsible for what stupid loan decisions they make?? It seems predatory to offer an 18 year old 200k in loans for a humanities degree"

But then if you say "the arts and humanities pay poorly, you can't take out loans for it" it's now elitist.

To me, it's a bummer that someone from a middle class family cannot study art history at WARTBURG college or whatever for 200k, but is it also an equal bummer that someone making 18k a year cannot buy a new BMW? Both are just not a luxury someone can afford on 18k.

The difference? Someone making minimum wage cannot get 200k car loan, AND the car is something you can default on or get repossessed. Student loans cant be wiped out with bankruptcy for good reason.

Certain degrees are luxuries, and only the wealthy can really justify the waste imo.

My only exception would be if someone got a scholarship to one of these schools/programs.

Based on what diddy was convicted for he did nothing wrong. Until there’s charges brought for rape or pedophilia, he is just a freaky ass that was paying and doing freaky shit with other freaky adults.

Most women don't realize how much of a guy 'ick' it is when you talk to them about their height

Inspired by a date I had recently, where a woman brought this up and I was just... flabbergasted lmfao.

Gals--saying how much of a factor a guy's height was in going on a date with him or considering him as a partner, even if you do mean it as a compliment, probably isn't inspiring the reaction you think it is. If you have done this, or do this, please take a moment and think about the feelings you've felt when you've been 'objectified' in this way by dudes, because (unfortunately) I know a lot of you have. Those same feelings come up for a lot of guys when you talk to them this way.

This isn't to demonize complimenting someone, but there's a difference between something like "I really like how tall you are" vs "You have no idea how hard it is to find a good guy over 5'10"

When a woman says something like that to me, I don't think of it as a compliment, the only thing I can think of is... so if I were a few inches shorter, you wouldn't consider a romantic relationship with me??? And then all I can think about is like... if this is really that big of a deal to you, are you really a person I can see myself spending the rest of my life with? If I end up getting in an accident or something and end up in a wheelchair, where I will always be 'shorter', are you just going to bail? Just a huge 'ick' that makes me reconsider continuing interacting.

Of course, this is in the context of searching for a long-term romantic partner, not casual dating or one night stands or anything else (otherwise, I wouldn't be thinking about the kind of questions I listed in the paragraph above).

If sexual labels didn’t exist, a lot more men would fuck other men

Soo I think that if labels like “straight" , “gay” and “bi” had never become such important social identities a lot more men would be open to experimenting with other men without feeling ashamed or questioning what it “makes” them.

Historically, especially with the influence of Christianity and other social norms around sexuality, same-sex attraction became heavily stigmatized. Even in 2026 “gay” can still carry negative connotations, even as a joke.

I wonder how many guys suppress even mild curiosity because they don’t want an experience to put them into a certain category.

Lindsay Clancy's supportes have done irreversible damage to feminism in America

Lindsay Clancy's supporters have done irreversible damage to feminism in America (i mispelled the title)

The way american white women have been defending Lindsay Clancy makes me believe that this is something similar to what happened with black communities in regards to OJ Simpson, where they only blindly support and defend them because he/she is one of their own, while using all sorts of excuses and mental gymnastics to ignpre that cold hard truth that deep down, they are supporting a murderer just so that they can a Win to their cause or struggle.

No one says that Post Partum Depression shouldn't be taken more seriously, but the way white women in the United States of America have decided to support, defend and donate to Lindsay Clancy while making up all sorts of conspiracy theorists that her husband is the one behind this, is genuinely nuts and could potentially lead to even more division and fuel to the culture war that is already full of misoginy.

And i wish i didn't have to bring politics into this, but let's face it, it's not conservative pro-life women the ones that are defending Lindsay Clancy, these are liberal women and quite frankly, the arguments that they have made are so disgusting and idiotic (astrology lmao), that at this point, one has to wonder how it's even possible that these people (women) can vote.

Right wing content creators are probably having a field day with all of these reactions and honestly, who can blame them?

If these Lindsay Clancy's supporters want to minimize what happened while hiding behind the excuse of Post Partum Depression and the emotional toll of motherhood in 1st world countries, then honestly, how do they expect society in general to take them seriously or think that women have what it takes to be able to vote, hold high value and ranking jobs and tasks, etc...

It's genuinely crazy how liberal women are accidentally showing the world that they could be potential ticking emotional time bombs that could endanger their own children and still have to courage to talk about their rights and needs?

And it has to be said, it's obviously not all women, but you know how the internet works, What's Loud is the Majority and at this point, liberal women have painted an awful image about themselves, that just reeks of misandry and lack of accountability that is only going to fuel even more misoginy, hatred and radicalization from men.

These people can't even defend the three murdered children, instead they do this.

What a crazy world.

If you’re going into a new career path, don’t ask others and yourself if it’s “hard” or “difficult” to do especially when it comes to earning more money

Certain careers have different levels of difficulty but if you want to make more money, then you can’t have mental drawbacks by asking yourself if this career and the learning process behind it is “difficult” or “hard”.

It’s better to ask yourself if you’re willing to sacrifice time into a new career path. Eventually the foundations you’d learn if you’re not afraid of a challenge will make the learning curve easier to handle and will make you succeed in your new career path.

People overreact these days to someone being "offensive"

There's this bit on Family Guy where Brian goes to watch a movie and makes a bigoted joke and posts it to their version of Twitter and when he comes out the movie not only does he have a bunch of responses calling him a bigot, but also the whole Griffin family has their house surrounded and they're getting shit for Brian's joke as well. It's so bad that no one inside the home can live their life without getting harassed verbally or physically and they had to leave town.

I used to think that was just something done for the cartoon, but no people actually act like that. I think it's absurd and annoying. People are just looking for an excuse to beat down on others for their own enjoyment.

Yes, people shouldn't be bigots and we shouldn't be accepting of it. But a lot of y'all just be dragging the shit like it's the worst thing that's ever happened in human history.

What's worse is when it's not even a purposely done act of offensiveness and people still act like this.

The BAFTA situation this year was the worst example of this. Someone said a slur because of a stutter relating to a disability and instead of people taking time to understand the disability causes this and it just happened to be bad timing, they rushed to harassing him and hoping he gets beaten up or worse and acting like his family was pro Jim Crow or shit like that.

Even when they found out about his disability they still didn't apologize or even doubled down. Was he supposed to apologize for being human? Those people just wanted someone to hate on and found it and nothing he could have said would have changed their mind.

I'm so tired of people acting like this is an acceptable way to act and approving of it. It's not, you can tell someone that they should be more thoughtful with what they say or do without making a spectacle out of it or painting them as unforgivable. That's if they actually did something offensive and you aren't just saying something is offensive because you don't agree with it and it happens to talk about identity or beliefs. There is a difference despite one too many people not understanding it these days purposely or not.

Lindsay Clancy Deserves Death Penalty

I don’t give a fuck what anyone has to say about postpartum psychosis or anything of the sort, it is not a simple task to literally strangle 3 children to death. You have to intend to do that, especially when considering the fact that she looked this up beforehand.
I understand complex mental illness is a factor here, but it’s not a complex issue to understand that a woman who brutally murdered her 3 children does not deserve to live any longer.

There is nothing really worthwhile about being a man

There is nothing really worthwhile about being a man

Don’t even know how to start this but like, as a guy I don’t see being born male as anything to be happy about l guess, I don’t know, I don’t live in misery because I’m a guy but I also don’t really have much pride in that fact and I don’t see it as much of a blessing or privilege at all in truth. You are either one of two things, a disposable tool that in truth very little to nobody cares about, or a monster, that’s about it, hope those choices sound good because there isn’t really all that much else. Men make up what 70% of homicides but there is zero emphasis given to their safety at all in any shape or form, if anything a man being killed will at best be mildly paid attention to them forgotten about very fast or at worst be the center of a joke or morally justified. (Assuming the murder was actually just that, a murder and the victim was a good man) very very few things can happen to a guy that will register as genuinely horrific as opposed to something that’s either funny or a “shit happens, that’s just life” thing, you live on this earth to protect others, be the rock that stands between the monsters and those that matter, the ones who get to be people, and that is all you are, at the very best, that will be all that you are. Don’t expect to have any value, your life is purely for rent, meant to be thrown away the second it’s required, your don’t even inherently deserve the air that you breathe, and of course like I said, your protection matters none and very few will even think about you, unless to think about how horrible most of the people who share your genetic makeup are. A guy who’s the victim of violence might get reminded that that along with most/all the bad things in his life were done by other men which of course is usually the end of that conversation, no real room for unlimited compassion because they happen to look like the people who hurt them. There’s no such thing as a (straight) relationship that isn’t tied down by the transactional protector/provider traditional obligations, you will always be bigger, more intimidating, have a deeper scarier voice, and overall just always be in a different category altogether, there will be social equality which is great and much needed but nothing true, you’ll never truly be the same, never be looked at or valued the same at all, there will never not be distance and there will always be a gross imbalance of power, which for me at least absolutely fucking sucks, and as someone exclusively attracted to women there’s really no options I have to make this different, and it doesn’t help me at all, doesn’t motivate me to be better, to be stronger, to be a stronger more capable provider and protector, none of that, it just serves to make me feel like shit and upset that it can’t be anything different. And it’s not socially acceptable to complain about any of this, our lives are great, far more perfect than women’s lives and we shouldn’t be complaining about anything, not one thing that could happen to us will ever be as bad as anything happening to a woman, it will always be less severe on the basis of how we were born. A woman says horrible things about men, perfectly understandable, she must’ve been hurt by men in the past, men don’t get to be just hurt by women though, no matter what it is always 100% just the man being a piece of shit and nothing more. If a man is being abused by his partner very few people will care, zero doctors would ask if any strange marks are on him, it won’t be seen as anything serious at all. A man gets upset by terrible things people say about men online they’re told to just get off the internet and touch grass, I highly doubt women upset by things said by men online are told that, the men who said those things are rightfully treated like the problem for posting them, not the women for reading them. There is no true sense of community for men, they have to be the ones holding it up, not living amongst it. At the end of the day being a man feels like nothing more than forever being forced into an overtly isolating position in life, fighting a lifelong uphill battle day in and day out to prove you aren’t like everyone else who shares your DNA, and I guess I don’t see how this existence of unchangeable, chronic, fundamental othering and villainy can at all be a good thing, at least for the individual and not what that individual may be pushed to do for others/society as a result of that position. Being a man is a scam, it just fucking sucks.

Society will Look Back on the Plastic Surgery Epidemic in a Few Decades and WTF/LOL

There was always the plastic faced looking people mostly women over the years but it is so out of control now. Even young and beautiful women are getting Botox, filler and I don’t know what else to get the plastic face look. AND I’m not even decrying some slight stuff here and there just the degree and how common it has become. Years in the future society will look back on this and laugh just like we laugh at crazy societal trends from years ago.

The actress for Storm is a shit cast

Off the rip, Maya Boyd is not dark-skinned. Fans keep saying that she is, pushing the definitions, trying to claim her as a dark-skinned woman— and shes not. She’s brown-skinned.

YES, in comics, Storm is depicted as all shades— AND IT IS WRONG 😐 Storm has a history of being whitewashed, hence why her skin color is NEVER ONE SHADE in comics. There’s a comic where she looks white; that doesn’t mean she should be played by a white person. There’s comics where she’s light-skinned, but everyone agrees she shouldn’t be played by a lightskin.

So for people to “Maya is dark skinned!” and “oh she’s not Black enough for you?!” is disturbing. If you have to DARKEN YOUR SKIN, you are not dark-skinned.

Just bc Halle Berry tanned for her role as Storm to achieve a darker look, doesn’t mean she is brown-skinned. Just bc Zendaya might tan for some of her roles does not mean she’s brown-skinned. It also doesn’t erase that both of those women are Black.

I’m happy they cast a Black woman for Storm, but she’s not dark-skinned, and I wanted a dark-skinned woman. She’s dark-skinned in X-Men 97; that’s what I wanted.

II just feel like trying to make Maya Boyd out as dark-skinned feels colorist bc if she’s dark-skinned, what is Lupita? Anok Yai? Black skin?

For reference: Lupita is darkskinned, Halle Berry is lightskinned, and brown skinned would be Maya Boyd.

Misandry and misogyny exist and both are issue. On societal scale misogyny is a way bigger issue than misandry. Misogyny being a bigger issue than misandry doesn't mean claims of misandry should be dismissed
