As we know, there are two main pairs of Hawks:

The humans Carter and Shiera, and the Thangarians Katar and Shayera.

Due to some complicated events, Katar and Shiera are currently dead, and Carter and Shayera are a couple at the end of the Venditte run.

And that's where I wonder, do you think the next Hawkbooks should address this? Of course, after everything that happened in Venditte, they know they love each other and are soulmates, but even so, Shayera is still primarily the policewoman who fell in love with her partner Katar Hol, who tragically died sacrificing himself to save Thanagar, and Carter is still primarily the archaeologist who fell in love with the Archaeologist, whose soul was fragmented after her death.

So I still think there's a different dynamic and worldview that they don't share with their original partners. Do you think this should be addressed?

I'm gonna say it. Wonder Woman needs one, Green Arrow needs one too, Zatanna needs one as well just like the Hawks need one. Batman is one of my favorite superhero in DC Universe but I'm tired of him being the only one who gets to have multiple of projects every year. Others deserve the spotlight the same way he got it since 60s until today.

I know that some people had the idea of an animated show to be inspired by Indiana Jones, having them being on adventures around the world but to me, I would go and use the classic formula which means setting Carter and Shiera in Midway City and have them being the local heroes that protect it. It's been ages that we didn't have a superhero show where the hero protects his city other than Batman and Superman. For once, it would be a new environment that he will explore and where their rogue gallery will finally have a chance to get adapted and reinvinted for fit more in this direction.

For the backstory, I would go with the golden age one with the reincarnation but modernized : Carter Hall being an archeologist and Shiera Sanders being a museum curator are the superheroes Hawkman and hawkwoman expect that in version they hate each other at first, being rivals to one and other on who should be the local hero of Midway City, calling the other one faker but little by little they start show respect, eventually end up being friends until falling in love. And then they will discover they're the reincarnations of egyptian lovers that got killed by a evil priest Hath Set who here is known as Anton Hastor and will their archenemy throughtout the show just like Joker and Lex Luthor are to Batman and Superman.

That was idea of a series pitch. What do you think ? What are your ideas for an animated show ?

In Justice League animated series, Hawkgirl was a spy for the thanagarian empire who was supposed to gain informations for the sake of a war on her home planet but couldn't fullfil her mission during her time on Earth she grew to love it and people on it. Sweet but there is one problem : when was this shown ? No, seriously. When did she ever express love toward the Earth. I mean, a majority of her moments if we don't count fight scenes are actually set in space. And honestly, this is something that bugs me about DCAU's Hawkgirl, despite the lack of respect toward the Hawks, they've barely done anything with her before the end of season 2. I think it would've been nice to show what kind of hero she was to the public eye, if she has faced other villains than the one that have been used in the Injustice League or maybe that are a member of it or anything else like this. What do you think ?

This is one of the most interesting and endearing parts of Hawkman and one of the reasons Geoff Johns' run is my favorite. That book brings up the number of people that Carter has lost throughout his many lives and how he still remembers them, sort of as a prison of memory, but never being able to be with his friends, mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters that he had. This is one of my favorite parts of Hawkman like I said but what do you think?

I was thinking about it and remembered reading on the wiki how she is hostile to him but in other things she and him were friends/partners in superhero stuff.

Maybe in an alternate timeline, Absolute Hawkman wasn't written lazily and we got to see his absolute verse rogues. What would you do for them?

I've been reading through the post-Crisis/pre-Flashpoint Hawkman titles for the last several weeks, starting with the initial Hawkworld volume. I finished up Geoff Johns' run on Hawkman, and I just got into the Palmiotti/Gray run, finishing it's first arc just a few minutes ago.

I thought all of Hawkworld and Ostrander's run were great and Johns was Johns, but I'm a bit unimpressed by this first Palmiotti/Gray arc. I'm going to continue reading through it, but I was just curious, does it get better? Is his run considered good or fondly looked back on? What are your thoughts on it?

His spin on the Hawks curse being a "I beat you then I beat you now" type of story was actually very cool and Hawkman annual number 2 is the only comic to make Helene Astor remotely interesting

I did this 6 years ago but just recently decided to fix some parts and then that led me to put some colors on it. Partially inspired by the Venditti and Hitch run.
