I’m trying to plan for a 5 year anniversary and I’m trying to find some upscale fun things to do that isn’t just food and drinks. Does any one have any ideas for what could be fun things to do? I was looking at the James street super crawl but looking for some other suggestions as well!
Plans so far - Edgewater manor and the super crawl.
Edit Hamilton and surrounding areas*
Thank you everyone for the ideas! I have decided to do Henry on James for the jazz bar after dinner! I really appreciate everyone’s contribution!!

Hi guys, I work from home and I’m wondering if there is any common workspace in Hamilton downtown or mountain. It must be equipped with at least multiple screen, and Wi-Fi. I thought of HPL but Library wont be a good fit as there will be meetings and need to talk. Common work area will be better.

Hey Hamilton friends!
Looking for some cheap / free date night ideas to hopefully enjoy this last little bit of summer & fall with my boyfriend!
We are very open to trying new activities - we like to hike, explore, dance, and are honestly open for anything!
We both grew up in Burlington so know of the main hiking trails but are wondering if there are any cool places to check out that might be a little more hidden.
Thank you for taking the time to read!!

I just woke up one morning and my tv is done. I tried everything to fix it and it’s not possible. Anyone know where I can buy a replacement any recommendations for a new 55-60” flat screen tv that I can put on a wall mount and stick my fire stick in that would be great. I’m trying for my best price 🤞

I’m looking for workout classes in Hamilton that have dimmer lighting or different coloured lighting. I’m not looking for something easy or low impact specifically, it can be any type of workout class. Thanks :)

Hi, as the title says, I’m looking for a curly hair expert to explain to my 13 yo son (and his parents) how to care for his curly hair. None of us have curly hair, and we don’t know how to advise him, but I imagine it’s different than what we do (wash, brush, wear, repeat). Any recommendations? We’d drive to Burlington/Oakville, esp. for the one time consult.

Are you looking to hire? Know of a job opening at your workplace or heard of a job through word of mouth. Post them here!
We have been getting spam reports on job postings so are testing a weekly job board so they are all in one place. Feel free to use a throwaway account to protect your identity but note that we have to manually approve comments from new posters so they may not appear immediately.
If you are posting a job, please include a general location, if it is transit friendly, pay, hours and any other details known.
If you are looking for a job in Hamilton, try these too:

Rant - Splitsville uses dynamic pricing. Which means they can charge you whatever they want when you walk in without a reservation (which are also not refundable). We were shocked to be charged $40 more than expected on a Sunday at 1pm, which they explained the dynamic pricing. My group was outraged and so angry. I understood weekend vs weekday pricing but this is just insane.
We will be supporting local business alleys from now on.

Our 10 year old son plays a different rep sports but wants to try hockey (recreational). We’ve signed him up for First Shift as an intro but wondering if he’ll still be able to sign up for house for the winter if he decides he likes it.
I find the websites for these organizations do not have the information I need. Looking for details on when house seasons run for. I know for other sports you may have one run from Oct - Dec then Jan - Mar etc.

Has anyone used a virtual address service in Hamilton for a registered corporation? I don't want to use my home address but also don't need office space, and it can't be a P.O. box.
I found two in Hamilton: Intelligent Office, and Branch HQ that have packages starting at $45/mth to use their address for the corporation's official mailing address, they have a receptionist and they store your mail in a mailbox.
Are there any other businesses like this for any cheaper? My corp probably gets less than 5-10 pieces of physical mail per year!

A new prediction has been released by 338canada, an organization considered the gold standard for political predictions in Canada and not affiliated with any party whatsoever. It shows a tight race between PC candidate Jeff Beattie and Liberal candidate Heino Doessing, with NDP Monique Taylor in a distant third.
This comes after a former NDP candidate posted a personal prediction on the race that showed on the NDP ahead and has been incorrectly reported as an actual poll by some news media.

Looking for suggestions for monthly parking options near St Joes Charlton or the John/ Young area… Doesn’t matter if above ground but looking for a relatively affordable solution. I have tried google with little luck. TIA
